Minx by Sophie Lark
Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Spice: 🌶️🌶️🌶️
POV: Dual POV
Tropes: Billionaire, he falls first, emotional scars.

This was my first read from Sophie Lark although I had seen her books being punted around social media for quite some time. Thankfully, it did not disappoint.

Minx follows a billionaire, Ramses, who makes it his next big challenge to win over high priced, elite escort, Blake.

“But the memory that carries me back to sleep is the feeling of Blake in my arms, heavy and calm. My breath slowed to match hers. She was a gravity that pulled me in until I felt a peace so whole and complete, it seemed like the world world had finally come into balance.”

I loved the fact that both MCs were strong and independent characters, and that for once with the billionaire trope, there was no damsel in distress in sight.

It was definitely spicy and kinky, and with that said, incredibly well written.

If you’re a fan of contemporary romance with a heavy dose of sex and kink, then this one is for you!

Blake and Ramses
Blake is a high-end and very wealthy escort, smart and Ramses is a billionaire who runs his own investment firm.
Ramses hires Blake because he becomes completely obsessed with the idea of being with her. Blake takes him on as a client. Ramses and Blake are two very bright, strong personalities. Their relationship is very erotic sensual. The author gave the reader some insight into the characters. They relate to and understand each other. Both have emotional backstories it help connect to them.
The ebook NSFW illustrations throughout Minx are just better in color the black and white look weird. This was a little different kind of story I have read from this author. I enjoyed this book just the pet play wasn't my cup of tea skip those part.

This is the first Sophie Lark book that really touched my heart. Seeing Blake deal with a speech delay in her youth really resonated with me personally. It was so refreshing to see representation.

While in most of Sophie Lark's books I feel the story often comes second to the spice, the story really stood out to me this time. I really enjoyed the banter between Blake and Ramses and the build up of their relationship. I loved the risks that were involved. This was a lot of fun.

Don’t look at me like that - this was fresh and fantastic. If you think you’ve read it all, no you haven’t. I LOVED every page of this.

Interesting couple, interesting story, interesting kink. A quick and fun read.

This book was not as good as other books written by Sophie Lark but overall it wasn't bad and kind of interesting or good. I enjoyed reading it.

Ramses is self-made man and he gets what he wants. Blake caught his eye and is now his top priority and she wondered what took him so long. Ramses decides to create a game to play with Blake and she changes up the rules even if he will never follow them. Their arrangement consumes them and causes them to cross lines they swore they never would.

The kink in this book had me with my jaw dropping. They are into animal play specifically a cat and while that isn’t my cup of tea (no judgement if it is yours) I could not put it down. I felt like I had to see how they worked and how the story played out. The character who brought me the most joy is stinking Briggs and his adoration for his dog 🤣🤣. Just that small like two sentence clip towards the end made me so ready for the next book in this world.
