This has got to easily be one of the best series out there. Over the past 6 installments I have slowly fallen in love with each of the characters and the execution of their backstories and relationships is flawless. I adore the dynamics of the team and still chuckle about Steak and Eggs 😆

Before I start my review I have to say that I would massively recommend reading the previous books, whilst you could read as a stand alone there are alot of references to past cases etc that would make alot more sense if you read from the beginning!

In book #6 a spate of boat robberies just turned deadly, a parents worst nightmare has come true, their only child is mindlessly murdered along with her boyfriend and not just any parent but Kyle Mannion. Tori & Braddock are called in to investigate the killing and soon pick up on some anomalies, is this a one off burglary gone wrong or is there a connection there to previous crimes?

Both Agent Tori and her partner/boyfriend Sheriff Braddock will do anything to find Ally's killer, this has cut deeper knowing it's their friends daughter and promise Kyle so. Can they deliver on their promise?

I must admit that personally I didn't find this installment as compelling as others. The initial buzz of excitement and suspense seemed to fizzle out as as the reader were privy to who the perpetrators are so the momentum didn't build like I've grown used to. Being aware of 'whodunnit' didn't 'ruin' the story bit it did change the overall read for me as the real speed of pace and tension didn't really get going again until the last quarter of the book.

Huge thanks to netgalley and Bookouture for the ARC.

Their Lost Souls follows Agent Tori Hunter who races to the scene after a young couple is found murdered. She quickly becomes devastated to recognize Ally Mannion, a close friend’s daughter, and her boyfriend Reed. The book had me hooked from the start; I was reading everywhere and was unable to put the book down. Suspense continued to build in this fast-paced twisty journey of learning the truth, the secrets, and the lies that led to the demise of the couple who was murdered.

The thriller is wonderfully paced and is entertaining in a feel-good creepy way. Their Lost Souls is a must read! I look forward to reading more books by Roger Stelljes.

Thank you NetGalley for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Give me more Tori Hunter. I absolutely love her story and man do I wish I had a Braddock. But as far as the crimes they fight and the killers they find these stories are easy reads and over all great.

*5 Stars*

Copy kindly received via NetGalley for an honest review.

Really good read and characters. Tori and Braddock make good partners in their professional and private lives. Quinn was a good person. Some people did some disgusting things, some had everyone fooled. Shows what people can do for money, but in the end most got what they deserve. I liked the ending and I'd like to continue this series. Would recommend.

This book begins with high action right from the first page. Ally and her boyfriend are brutally murdered in a cabin in the woods. I didn't see the murder coming and honestly didn't immediately get the motive. However, getting to know the perps through the pages made these murders make sense. There were brutal and had very little regard for others.

Tori and Braddock make an awesome team and I have always enjoyed the rest of the sheriff's department, especially Steak. This was definitely a tough case for them to crack and it was made worse by the fact that Tori the victims were personally known to Tori and Braddock.

I enjoyed the different POVs and as usual, I found the narrative by the perps to be quite gripping. Without any spoilers, let me just say that the perps POV had me shifting from sympathy, anger to finally relief.

Although the case took, what felt like, a really long time to solve, it held my attention throughout. The final chapters were so intense that I couldn't get shut down my kindle to sleep, I just wanted to find answers. This series gets better with each new installment. I can't wait for book 7.

I really like this series but found this one a bit slow with too many references to previous books. I like the characters and the team dynamics and I'm looking forward to their next case.

Their Lost Souls by Roger Stelljes, is the sixth book in the Agent Tori Hunter series. I have read all of the books in the series and each one just gets better and better.! The usual characters are back— Braddock, Steak and Eggs, and the colorful cast of people in Manchester Bay, the Minnesota lake town they live in. If you like tough female lead characters and exciting crime novels definitely read this series! As I say in every book review that I do for this author, I cannot wait for the next book! Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the advanced copy of this book. All opinions are my own.

Agent Tori Hunter is shocked by the dead couple who was found at a remote cabin by the lake. The young girl is the daughter of a close friend to her boyfriend Reed and herself. One of the main clues is a boat drifting in the lake, did someone see what happened? They look for clues but aren't finding anything to lead them into a definite direction. The investigation takes a turn when a body is found at the bottom of another lake, it has been there for fourteen years. They figure out who the.body is and start to believe it might be linked to the newest murder. Tori begins to uncover several other crimes that might be a part of what is going on now she just needs to put them all together to be able.to find.the suspects. Follow along.and.see if.she catches the killer or killers and the reason behind such a horrible murder.

Yet another great read in the Tori Hunter series. I have read most of the others but will is also good as a standalone book.
Tori is now in a good place with her partner Braddock in both work and them living together as a couple. When a young couple are found dead that they both know and are great friends with the girls parents they pull out all stops to try and find who did it.
Friendships will be tested and destroyed as the truth comes out. A great book with so many twists and turns
I look forward to reading the next book in the series.

Another enthralling crime thriller
With Agent Tori Hunter searching for the killer(s).
This time there are connections to her friends and her past
With school time friendships and memories that may last.

A young couple found brutally murdered by the lake
What did they see? Was it a mistake?
A boat drifting nearby offers no clues
But can Tori uncover somethings to use?

Reconnecting with friends from back in school,
For whom nature has been so cruel.
Another body from back in those days reveals fears,
And a series of crimes stretching back years.

Asking questions of people from her past, Tori soon discovers
She really doesn't know them better than others.
A tense, gripping read with plenty of surprises
Until the truth she and others finally realises.

A brilliant crime thriller where friendships are put to the test,
And only the truth will enable the past to be put to rest.
For my complementary copy, I say thank you,
As I share with you this, my honest review.

The sixth book in the Tori Hunter series takes place in Summer in the northern Minnesota town of Manchester Bay. A college couple uses their friend’s cabin for a romantic getaway. Little do they know this will lead to the last moments of their life. Tori and Braddock are called onto the case, which is a high priority as their friend and local billionaire’s, Kyle Mannion, daughter was one of the people murdered. As Tori and Braddock began to investigate, they find that this event could be tied to a string of burglaries around Northern Minnesota. It is up to Tori and Brannock to find the killers and stop them before it is too late.

This is the sixth book in the series, but it still has the intrigue and intensity of the other five. Mr. Stelljes does a great job weaving a complex and fast-paced story that keeps you on the edge of your seat. The northern Minnesota setting adds to the story with its beautiful backdrops. Tori Hunter is a complex character that shows both strength and vulnerability. She is easy to root for. Mr. Stelljes what’s does a great job coming up with plots that are believable and tied in to the fabric of this northern Minnesota town. While not the big city, you feel like something like this could happen. The realism makes the story more intriguing and hard to put down.

I would highly recommend this book. It is an easy read that keeps your attention. The story and characters are top-notch, and I can’t get enough of the northern Minnesota setting.. Thank you NetGalley, Roger Stelljes, and Bookouture for a free advanced copy for an honest review.

I have had the privileges to read the last three books in the agent Tori Hunter series created by Roger Stelljes. This is already booked six in series and it's called Their Lost Souls and it came out on the 7th of December. I received a copy from Bookouture via Netgalley.

A young couple is found murdered at a remote holiday cabin and agent Tori Hunter is the one to investigate. It appears to be related to her own school days as well when another body is found. Who can Tori trust from as it involves people she's known all her life? Will she manage to solve this case before any more people are hurt?

The book started absolutely brilliant. The very first chapter immediately draws you into the story and from then onwards it just keeps getting better and better developing into a great thriller that you just can't seem to put down. As it is already booked six the main characters are developed quite well but still you get to know new characteristics of the characters creating new layers to the story. The fact that it also hits close to home for the main characters gives the story an extra dimension.

5/5 ⭐

I enjoyed this thriller. This is the 6th in the series of Agent Tori Hunter series. Even though this is the 6th in the series, I didn't feel like I needed to have read the others.

When a young couple is found murdered at a local holiday cabin, Tori and her team are called in to investigate. She is devasted to discover that one of them is the daughter of a close friend, Ally Mannion. Then soon another body is discovered of someone who went missing years ago. They soon realize that those 2 cases might be linked. As they investigate there are lots of twists and turns to the surprising end. I loved the small-town MN feel of this mystery as well, and how most of the people know each other in town. If you are looking for a small-town murder mystery with lots of twists, turns, and surprises this is a great read!

Thanks to Netgalley, Bookouture, and the author of the ARC of this book!

Another very good story in the series. Tori is faced with a horrific murder of a friend's daughter. As she starts to search for the culprits she finds out that the girl's murder is linked to a series of other murders and robberies in the area. As she and Braddock keep on looking for the ones responsible they'll find links to the community and friends that they wish did not exist. A great plot, with a lot of action and mystery. Great read!
I thank Mr. Stelljes, his publisher, and NetGalley for this ARC.

In this installment of the Tori Hunter Series, Hunter & Braddock get involved in the murder of a young couple that seems to be secondary to a boat theft. For me, this one dragged a lot more in the middle than the other installments but was still a very interesting case and a great book. As usual, I loved Hunter & Braddock. Their characters are so believable and getting a little bit of a glimpse at Tori's younger years was interesting. Definitely love this series and highly recommend it!

Wow, I don’t have any kids but I cannot imagine losing a child. And for the police that have to investigate these tragedies… As always with this author, I could not put this one down. I love the Tori and Braddock and getting to see what they and the team are up to. The author is so good at laying out the plot of multiple crimes and then weaving the pieces together. So complex and layered yet no string is left hanging.

There were a lot of twists and turns in this game of cat and mouse. I loved watching as both sides worked to have the upper hand. It unwinds at a great pace with lots of action. I enjoyed the team dynamic in solving the case. How hard they work and the process of it. And how their personal lives evolve from book to book. Over the span, it’s almost like these characters are people I actually know.

While the case and the book work as stand alones, the series is great and worth reading them all.
