In Irene Hannon's captivating novel, "Sandcastle Inn," Vienna Price and Matt Quinn find themselves drawn back to their past in Hope Harbor, Oregon, each carrying their own burdens. Vienna, after a failed career, seeks solace in her childhood home, while Matt, grieving a personal loss, seeks respite in the tranquility of the seaside town. Both Vienna and Matt are initially reluctant to stay long term, knowing that their past experiences and differences could potentially clash. However, circumstances conspire to bring them together, as Matt's sister's struggling B&B is in dire need of Vienna's expertise. As Vienna reluctantly agrees to help, she and Matt embark on a journey of not only restoring the inn but also mending their own hearts. Along the way, they discover hidden strengths and shared passions, leading them to question their initial reservations about staying in Hope Harbor. Through their collective efforts, they breathe new life into the Sandcastle Inn, transforming it into a symbol of hope and renewal, both for themselves and for the community.

BEAUTIFUL RESTORATION STORY

Sandcastle Inn (Hope Harbor Book #10) by Irene Hannon is a beautiful restoration story. What I like best about this book is that Hannon has created relatable characters because she writes them as flawed people at major turning points in their lives. Hannon provides a plot that allows the characters of Vienna and Matt to meet, and each has their own set of problems. Will it be possible for the struggling Sandcastle Inn to be the common factor to solve their problems? Hannon shows how God works through all things while these two work to restore the Inn. He provides soul restoration and allows these two to draw closer to Him and each other. I highly recommend this excellent book!

Sandcastle Inn is part of Irene Hannon's Hope Harbor series. Although it is a series, it can also stand alone.
This book talks about a small Oregon town called Hope Harbor and focuses on a sweet romance between a veternarian and a woman who just lost her job. Watching their relationship bloom throughout this story, was enjoyable.

If you want to read a clean christian romance and a nice story with relatable characters, you will love it!

I plan to go back and read some of this author’s other novels about Hope Harbor.

I received a free copy of this book in return for my honest opinion.

I'm a newcomer to Irene Hannon's Hope Harbor series, and actually, the last title Windswept Way was my first experience with one of these titles. I wholeheartedly enjoyed that one, and loved how idyllic and charming the town was, while the story still hit on a few deeper issues. When I saw there was a new book in the series coming out, I couldn't wait to give another of her beautiful small town romances a try. This one was every bit as good as the last one was, and left me thinking about it long after I finished it.

Hope Harbor's residents are part of what make the town and the stories so appealing, and it was lovely to get another visit with Charley, Bev and the hilarious clergy tasked with helping all of the town with their spiritual needs. Sandcastle Inn introduces us to several new characters, with Matt and Vienna being the main couple, and Andrew and Paige having a lovely side story all their own. Matt comes to town to help take care of his sister's struggling bed and breakfast while she's called away to help a friend. He's nowhere prepared for the amount of the work the inn needs, and that puts him into contact with Vienna, Andrew and Paige. He can't deny the sparks are flying between him and Vienna, but his past has left me incapable of moving on into the future. Can the two make their own way into happily ever after, all while trying to launch a successful idyllic inn?

With a swoon worthy romance, a wonderful setting, and a realistic portrayal of the way grief can affect every single area of someone's life, I loved my second visit to Hope Harbor, and I appreciated that this one could definitely be read as a stand alone. While I adored Matt and Vienna's story, I have to say that it was Andrew and Paige's that made this one a true winner in my eyes. Without spoiling anything, I have to say that I loved the emphasis on what it truly means to promise for better or for worse, and I adored how fiercely they cared for each other and everyone around them.

Another beautiful contemporary from Irene Hannon, and one that I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a heartwarming clean romance that has a light faith element.

Final Rating: 4/5.

Thanks so much to Revell for allowing me to advance read and review this title!

Such a sweet love story. Full of romance, healing, growth, faith. The authors description of the scenery and the characters emotions makes you feel as if you are there with them. I highly recommend this book.

Visiting Hope Harbor in one of Irene Hannon's books always lifts my spirits. It's a place where characters visit and find a place for themselves. Even though Vienna Price put her heart and soul in her work at a boutique hotel chain, she lost her job in a reorganization. She is in town to visit her mother before she starts her job search. Grieving widower Matt Quinn is in town to oversee his sister's small hotel while she returns to their hometown to care for a sick family friend. He finds that the hotel needs lots of work and has no guests. Matt isn't going to get the rest and relaxation that his veterinarian partner thinks that he needs. Between Matt, Vienna, and a carpenter Andrew and his wife Paige, they will try to get the hotel back on its feet. I received a free copy of this ebook from the publisher through Netgalley. This is my honest and voluntarily given review. I love the addition of the secondary young couple Andrew and Paige who stay and work together as their resources dwindle. I am so glad that Matt took a chance on them. As usual, Charlie, his fish tacos, Floyd, and Gladys add to the story. I especially love seeing the evolution of Matt and Vienna. This is a wonderful story and romance that will lift your spirits.

Sandcastle Inn is the 10th book in the Hope Harbor series. While fans of the series will enjoy seeing some familiar places and characters (like Charlie and his pelican friends), this can absolutely be enjoyed as a standalone if it's your first visit... or if you missed a few along the way.

When I pick up a book in the Hope Harbor series, I know that not only am I going to get a super sweet love story... but that it's also going to leave me feeling hopeful as well. This was absolutely no exception. In this book, we meet Matt and Vienna, both who have recently come to Hope Harbor for a brief stay. Her to visit her mom while she figures out some things after her career goes downhill and him to decompress and help his sister with the B&B she purchased. He quickly learns there's a lot more work needed than he realized, and he brings in Vienna to help him fix it up... along with another down on their luck couple who needed some respite too. All of these characters have things that they are healing from, and I loved the story's overall message of healing and second chances, which we see through not just Matt and Vienna's romance, but through other characters in the story too. Hope Harbor is the perfect place for those who need some healing and this story really depicted that very well. I enjoyed it very much and find myself looking forward to the next visit.

If you enjoy a beautiful love story with light Christian content that will leave you feeling hopeful, this is definitely one to check out.

That does it! I'm officially moving to the magical, small town of Hope Harbor, Oregon—with its quaint coffee shops, tasty restaurants, a Bohemian vibish bookstore, gorgeous secluded beaches, and even a delicious taco stand! Anyone care to go with me?

The malodorous meet-cute between the two main characters was less than romantic to be sure, but who knew Matt Quinn would clean up so well?...certainly not Vienna Price! The two put their heads together to restore a floundering B&B in a limited amount of time...Matt, however, has a successful veterinarian practice in CA and Vienna a lucrative career in Denver and a month's R&R is all they can spare to regroup. But the peaceful, small-town allure of Hope Harbor has a way of digging its hooks in and not letting go.

Filled with charming, wise characters such as Charlie, the master taco maker, Vienna's mother, Bev, and the bantering priest and minister whose quips are sure to bring a smile, Hope Harbor is a refuge of healing for hurting souls. Be sure to book a room in the Sandcastle Inn for a visit—you may not want to leave!

Sandcastle Inn
by Irene Hannon

Thanks to the author, publisher, and NetGalley for the ARC of this book in exchange for my honest opinion.
Sandcastle Inn is part of Irene Hannon's Hope Harbor series. It can be read alone but for readers of the other books in the series the reoccurring characters is nice.
This is a great book that invites you in to a sweet community, one that you will want to visit many times on the page and one you wish you could visit in real life. The romance is very sweet. It does not have an abundant amount of miscommunication as is prevalent in many romance books. As always with Irene Hannon, I found myself thoroughly enjoying this book. The faith content is there but it is on the lighter side. I have read other books in this series and I wish that Charley had a larger role in this book. He is the glue that holds the series together. His role was underplayed, almost to the point of being non-existent.
I recommend this book to those of you who like Christian Fiction or a continuing saga in a small town.
4 stars

Reading a book in this series always feels like going home and I know I'm going to be left with a warm and fuzzy feeling when I'm done. This novel follows Matt, a veterinarian, who is in town to help his sister get ready the inn that she has purchased and Vienna, who just lost her job and is taking a break to be near her mother who lives in the town. Vienna finds herself staying at the inn Matt is helping with and uses her hotel experience to get it off the ground. Sparks are flying from the get go but both are reluctant to get into a relationship. There's just something about Hope Harbor and their resident taco-artist Charley that can't keep couples apart.
There is also a side story about a down on their luck couple, Andrew and Paige, who also help out with the inn.
This is a really enjoyable book. It's a super light read that leaves you with happy feelings. It is very heartfelt and does have some Christian themes.

A wonderful story filled with real life hope and tragedy. A huge reminder about the importance of family and community.

The Hope Harbor series by Irene Hannon has another wonderful book with this 10th installment. I've read a few of the other books in this series and they've all been very enjoyable. Charlie the "taco artist", Bev the quirky bookstore owner, BJ the female construction worker, two clergy who add some church humor and the rest of this cast of characters in this town make for a fun series.

The main couple in this book are Matt and Vienna. Matt is in town to help his sister, who impulsively bought a seaside inn needs to go out of town to take care of a good friend. Matt is tapped to help fix up the inn with a limited amount of funds. Vienna recently lost her job at an upscale hotel. She doesn't want to stay with her mother in a 1 bedroom apartment so meets up with Matt hoping to exchange room and board for knowledge on turning the inn around.

Enter another couple, Paige and Andrew who are down on their luck. Andrew just might have the skills Matt and Vienna need to fix the inn up before money runs out. Will all 4 of these individuals find the hope they need in Hope Harbor??

I really enjoyed this book for it's clean romance, light Christian content and good story. The main characters have had some major struggles in their lives and the author does a great job of showing the character growth out of those struggles into moving on in life and seeking joy after some of the darkest times. I liked how the book also featured C.S. Lewis's book "A Grief Observed" which was very fitting for one of the characters.

Thank you to Revell fiction and Netgalley for the chance to read this ARC. All opinions expressed are my own.

Reading a book by Irene Hannon is a warm, cozy, heartwarming experience. This is book #10 of the Hope Harbor series. Each book introduces new characters; however, previous characters of this series pop up in the delightful small town of Hope Harbor. It is the feeling of coming home. Any of these charming books can be read as a standalone, however I strongly recommend reading them all.
Matt Quin takes several weeks off from his veterinary practice to go the Hope Harbor to help his sister Kay, who recently bought a Bed & Breakfast, unfortunately without much due diligence. Kay is going to Boise to stay with a close family friend who will be having surgery. Matt is left in charge of having the B&B updated so it can be open for business. Kay has already invested nearly all her money into the B&B with little return and now some big repairs and updating are in order. Matt, who is dealing with circumstances in his past that are out of his control, but still weighing heavily on him is concerned whether he is up to overseeing the complete renovation of the B&B.
Vienna Price’s carefully planned out life is derailed when she loses her executive position at a prestigious, luxury hotel in Denver. Now she is in Hope Harbor for a long overdue visit with her mother. They are totally opposites, while Vienna plans out every detail of her life carefully, her mother basically flies by the seat of her pants. After giving up a stable job of thirty years, she has moved to Hope Harbor and opens a book store, “Bev’s Book Nook.”
There are some surprising, heartfelt situations that arise, as well as discovering how differences in personalities can actually enhance relationships. Painful circumstances are finally spoken about, resulting in healing. I was happy to find Charley and his famous fish tacos back in Hope Harbor.
This is another beautifully written, captivating, heartwarming story with unforgettable, lovable characters. I never hesitate to recommend a book by Irene Hannon because I know it will be wholesome, inspirational, and nearly impossible to put down.

Irene Hannon transports us back to idyllic Hope Harbor, the small town full of hope, acceptance, and love. We get the chance to reconnect with Charlie as he dishes out wise advice and delicious fish tacos while meeting several newcomers to the quaint town.

Vienna Price finds herself searching after the loss of her job. This leads her back to the town her mother, Bev, has retired to that they visited when Vienna was younger. Vienna plans on this being a brief visit to collect herself after such life altering event. Her path crosses with Matt Quinn who is in town to help his sister with her BnB as well as Paige and Andrew who are new to town.

The lives of these four strangers connecting teaches us invaluable lessons about second chances, forgiveness, and family. Hannon’s mastery with words make the story come to life right off the page with its great detail and emotion. Reading a Hope Harbor story gives you the feeling of going home. The stories never disappoint and particularly this story really touched me. I absolutely love this series and this was one of my favorites!

This was an enjoyable book, but it has its drawbacks. Irene Hannon has written a series taking place in the fictional seaside town of Hope Harbor.

Matt's sister, Kay, has bought a Bed and Breakfast Inn that needs a lot of work to put it in usable order. Vienna is visiting her mother and offers her skills as developer for inns and hotels in lieu of room and board at the end. Matt finds a contractor who needs work and part of his pay is a room for the contractor and his wife.

Much of the book deals with refurbishing the Inn and setting it up as a high-end romantic getaway rather than the interpersonal relationships. The romance between Matt and Vienna really didn't develop through the vast majority of the book. It wasn't until the latter portions of the book that romance bloomed. I have read other books in this series and I wish that Charley had a larger role in this book. He is the glue that holds the series together. His role was underplayed, almost to the point of being non-existent.

This is a four star book that doesn't reach the same heights as the other books in this series. Pretty soon, though, Irene will have the whole town of Hope Harbor populated and developed.

Revell Publishing provided the copy I read for this review. All opinions expressed are solely my own.

Thank you to Netgalley and Revell Publishers for providing me the opportunity to read and review an ARC of this novel.

Matt comes to the charming town of Hope Harbor, OR to help his sister out and get a little R & R so he can finally work through the huge amount of grief he has been dealing with. What he finds is the inn his sister had purchased needed a great deal of work. He makes a plan to help her. Vienna comes to town to visit her mother and rest after being laid off from her big time position with a boutique hotel company. Through unforeseen circumstances they meet. Together they form a plan to rehab the inn. Along the way they are joined by a skilled carpenter and his wife who are down on their luck. Together they created a beautiful place. Along the way Matt and Vienna start to fall for each other. As with all the Hope Harbor books we are joined by a cast of quirky characters, some new and some old. Hope Harbor once again is a place of refuge for weary people.

There were a couple of things said that were just a tad off color. I could have done without those incidents but there were no scenes that were inappropriate for a Christian Fiction book.

I would recommend this book to people looking for clean, sweet romances that feature communities of great characters. If lighter faith and scenes that border on off color bother you, then this would not be the book for you.

I was excited to find out Irene Hannon was releasing a tenth installment to her beloved Hope Harbor series and was honored to have the opportunity to read it. I adored Vienna and Matt's story. They had wonderful chemistry together. I wanted to see how it would end for the two of them and what decisions they make for themselves. I thought this was a great read and is now my favorite of this series.

I would give Sandcastle Inn more than five stars if I could. I highly recommend it for those who love to read clean romantic fiction with a beautiful setting. As always, I will be looking forward to more books to release from Irene Hannon in the future.

I received Irene Hannon's Sandcastle Inn from the publisher, but was not required to write a positive review. This review is one hundred percent my own honest opinion.

I have been with this series and love the characters. The Catholic priest and the Reverend teeing off. Charley’s delicious tacos and free advice and so many more characters living who God created them to be.
The main characters are united at an Inn where an extreme makeover is needed. The storyline does not shy away from the hard realities of life. Past loss and trauma are real.

Irene Hannon’s latest book in her Hope Harbor series is a well-crafted and charming story of people who need each other, but they just don’t know it yet. The characters are believable and delightful to get to know, especially Paige and Andrew, a couple down on their luck after a business failure. They are secondary characters but they were my favorites because of Paige’s optimism and her belief that Andrew can still succeed if he is willing to try. Of course, I was immediately drawn into the story of Matt and Vienna, the protagonists. Matt has suffered a devastating loss in his life and is not looking for love while Vienna has just lost her career and is looking for a place to land. All of these exceptional characters end up in Hope Harbor, the little town where dreams become reality and anything can happen. This is a sweet portrayal of family, drama, and developing love, all presented with a depth of emotion and realism that made it a warmhearted and satisfying addition to the series. The characters were easy to cheer for and the scenic setting of a little town with all of its charm and a few quirky characters made the story dance into my heart as it unfolded. There are a few conflicts in this carefully plotted story, but the characters all worked well together towards the happy ending that I so enjoy. I cannot review a Hope Harbor book without mentioning Charlie and his taco stand. Charlie is back again, offering wisdom and even a timely book for Matt to read. The characters, the plot and the setting all combine to make a delightfully satisfying romance with a foundation of faith, hope and family at its core. This book can be read and enjoyed as a standalone, but I would not miss a single visit to the little town of Hope Harbor and all of the emotional depth that the author so realistically and expertly portrays.
