I have Loved the Magnolia Parks series so much. While, this was my least favorite of the series it was a great final Magnolia book. It was a little long and could have been shorter but I think It was done well and I still Really enjoyed it.

oh...i'll never recover from this...magnolia and BJ have had SUCH a long and hard road to travel and im so glad they had the light at the end of the tunnel in this one. i will ALWAYS want more from them but i was so utterly satisfied with this conclusion. I'm so excited for daisy's next book and to read more about the two of them and get small snippets of their lives! what an amazing series!!

this book.. yeah one of my most treasured books in coming across. soooo painful, clever and filled with love within the crevices of every page. bj and magnolia have come soooooo far, it was truly beautiful to witness. this is an insane statement coming from me but, bj was my favorite character IN THIS BOOK. this book was extremely hard to get through because of the grief journey with magnolia. it hit me soooo hard and maybe it’s because i have some shit i need to work through but it was done so beautifully, i’ve never cried so much reading a book in my life.

thank you jessa for writing such a story 🧸

4.75 stars <3

This is my favorite series of all time. Although I prefer the Daisy Haites books over the Magnolia Parks books, this was hands down my favorite MP book.

Everyone and their mothers know that Magnolia and BJ belong together. No matter how long the journey of them finding their ways back to each other took, THEY ARE MEANT FOR EACH OTHER.

This book was very different than the other books of the series. Being in Magnolia's head made me feel so many different emotions, but mostly just extreme sadness. Magnolia had to deal with an impossible situation throughout the whole book and it made me feel so bad. I didn't LOVE Magnolia in the previous books, but this one really changed by views on her.

Sad to no longer be in BJ and Parks' head, but I cannot wait for the next two Daisy books.

This book was gold. Jessa out did herself. BJ and Magnolia's relationship took a turn in the way we all needed and wanted. it. A total win!

This book, these characters, this story; what a journey. Jessa Hastings has a wonderful way of making you feel like these characters are real and you are part of the box set experiencing this journey along side them. Whew! Who knew if BJ and Magnolia were going to make it?! But seriously, I took my time with this book and I’m glad that I did. I savored it body and soul. I cried and I laughed and I genuinely feel like I learned how to breath deeper and accept that even through the unexpected, the grief and anguish that this life can bring us it is also beautiful and filled with magic when you’re with the ones you love. Thank you Jessa for sharing your characters and their lives; your beautiful words. Thank you to NetGalley for an advanced readers copy and I’m so sorry that I relished in it for so long that I didn’t get this review out last month. And thank you to Orion books for continuing to print the OG cover style. The new show series is beautiful, but these OG covers are the true heart of the Magnolia Parks Universe.

Magnolia and BJ grew up right before our eyes. We watched them be toxic young adults who didn’t know how to navigate a relationship. We watched them deal with cheating, jealousy, constant scandals and grief. We watched BJ deal with his past trauma.

Most importantly we watched them grow into *kind of* functioning adults who choose to work through all their issues (in their own way).
The amount I cried in Magnolia Parks: Into the Dark was unreal. It took me an absurdly long time to finish because I just didn’t want to hear the end of the story yet.

4.5 stars rounded up to 5 for GR. its the last Magnolia POV book… what do you expect?!?!😭🐝🎀🤍📖🌳🦌🥹

i love this series so much. it obviously consumed me, as i binged all 5 books in under a month and now am shattered that i have to wait a year (or more) for the last 2 in the series (yes this will be a 7part series—the last 2 are daisy books!).

this book is LOOOOONG—708 pages. its heavy and extremely emotional. DO NOT READ THE SYNOPSIS IF YOU ARE NOT UP TO DATE ON THE SERIES. major major majorrr spoilers will await you!

this might be my 2nd fave in the series? or 3rd? i truly cannot decide!! ranking to come on my IG when i decide.

it was a bit too long but obviously i never wanted it to end. the ending made me so happy but so emotional. the journey this book takes you on is insane… it took me nearly 2 weeks to finish and i was savoring every moment. Jessa wrote this book so well and tackled so many challenging topics so delicately and with such grace. truly bravo to her.

What a journey we have been on with Magnolia and BJ! This book is like the reward at the end of climbing a really high mountain because the books in this series are long! It's rewarding to see the character development of Parks and BJ, they turn out to be (thankfully) more nuanced and layered than when we first met them in book 1. Somehow I ended up liking BJ by the end of this book, Magnolia... not so much.

Jessa Hastings dives into some big, deep topics in this book and you can tell that she has a lived experience of facing rock bottom and then climbing back up. This books deals with mental health issues, pain, grief, death... in case it is a trigger warning for some readers. I do think this book could have been edited for length and clarity, there was a lot of repetition of themes but super fans of Magnolia and BJ will be happy where their story ended.

Thanks to Penguin Group Dutton and NetGalley for the ARC copy, all opinions are my own.

It’s always good to be back in London with the Full Box Set. 🐝

We deep dive into the lives and psyche of Magnolia and BJ - how they deal with trauma, family dynamics, and forgiveness with an in-depth look at death, grief, and found families.

💕A lot of emotions throughout but also less emotional that I suspected (or feared?). It was a good amount of emotions for me.

The book felt a bit like a novella, a lot of character and emotional time with a lighter emphasis on the plot. The MP books are always character driven, but it felt like this one was the heaviest and also the longest.📖 The beginning and the end were my favorite parts, I struggled a bit with the middle.

🎀Magnolia (and BJ) are complicated characters who I will defend to my death. But I found Magnolia the most frustrating and hard to relate to in this book. I feel mean saying this ... but it’s also true so.

I was probably most disappointed by a subplot I likely care too much about... I tried to get over it but I couldn’t. Does anyone care about this other than me? Possibly/probably not but I care a lot.

Most importantly, Magnolia Parks and I are basically the same height👯‍♀️ and that makes me so happy.

My criticisms: It felt drawn out, overly emotional.

i couldn’t be happier with magnolia & bj’s story. this was absolutely perfect. this book dealt with so many issues and like jessa has said, it deals with the “darkness” of many, if not all, the characters. reading about magnolia and bj’s character development both individually and as a couple was so enticing. i was enamored by their growth and commitment toward one another. jessa is the best author and has such a wonderful way of orchestrating thoughts and feelings into words. amazing novel. thank you jessa

The writing style wasn’t for me personally and I stopped after chapter 1. I can see this being three to four stars for the target though with five for the right readers.

Thank you to NetGalley and Penguin for the ARC.

Let me start by saying I can't believe Magnolia and BJ’s story is over! The journey that these characters have been through is heartbreaking but also filled with so much love and growth. BJ really came out with the greatest transformation of any character and proved just how much of a reliable and trustworthy person he is! I felt so proud of him and all the trauma he has overcome. I can't even begin to explain how many times I cried, both from sheer happiness and the pain I was experiencing. I was frustrated at times because the story started to feel very repetitive and a bit too long, but this was the perfect ending to the most epic love story.

Thank you so much to Dutton and NetGalley for the arc!

Silly, sexy, fun bit sometimes so cringey I can’t take it. I’m not the target audience for this perhaps. I appreciate the camp and glitz, however. It’s fun to see the story progress and the series wrap up.

BJB + MP

The last MP book is finally here and it’s so bittersweet! I loved the conclusion we got for magnolia and BJ. They have such a strong connection, like magnets, an unbeatable force. And I think jessa writes them so well.
In the first 2 MP books I wasn’t the biggest BJ lover. I loved their love but I didn’t love HIM. And in this book jessa was able to turn me into a LOVER.

Following the events of MP 2, we knew this book was going to be a journey. And it definitely was. I cried multiple times. I love magnolia so much and her journey throughout this book was painful but felt so real. I want to give her the biggest hug

There was humor, tears, laughs and everything in between in this book. Im going to miss reading from parks and BJs pov, but their ending was beautiful and I wouldn’t change a thing!

I did feel like the book was a little bit long but overall it didn’t take away from how I felt about it. I could read about parks shopping and not be bored lol

And now I’m actually feral for the next daisy books!!!

Happy Magnolia Parks Universe Day to those who celebrate!

This series has had my heart for some time.

I’ve always been a big fan of Gossip Girl and while these books are often compared to that amazing show, this series is monumentally better. Like so. Much. Better!

The characters are toxic and dysfunctional but also raw and real and vulnerable. BJ may just be my favorite male character of all time.

I was saving The Great Undoing until pub day for Into the Dark got closer because waiting for a new book in this series is torture. I binged both in a weekend and that’s say something as both are thick reads and I’m an on the go girly. I loved the push and pull and back and forth and couldn’t get to the end of either story fast enough.

I hope there’s another book but am so happy with the ending of Magnolia and BJs story. I loved their growth and the way they process grief. I found myself tearing up at so many parts of this story and I am really going to miss them.

You have to read this series. All the books are all the stars and you will love being in their universe.

Thank you so much @duttonbooks
@jessa.hastings and @magnoliaparksuniverse for the early copy.

Go grab this entire series today!!

i cant believe this is the last book we’re gonna get in magnolia and bj’s pov. im unwell.

out of all the books in this series, i related to this one the most. i feel like jessa really captured what grief looks like in such a realistic way. i sobbed a bajillion times because it hit so close to home for me. magnolia’s story even made realize some things about my own grief.

from book 1 to now, magnolia and bj have grown so much. im so sad we’re not gonna get anymore books in their pov but im so excited to see what’s next for daisy and christian.

thank you jessa for writing this beautiful story 🥹 and thank you to dutton for the eARC!

im gonna go make a pinterest board for all the outfits in this book now LOL 🫶🏼

Oh boy, where do i begin?

Maybe with a question?

How many loves do you get in a lifetime?

Magnolia actually had multiple ones. But when it comes to true love, the love that remains with you forever no matter the hardships it goes through, she only had one.
And god did that one love split all of our hearts open.

In Magnolia and BJ’s last book, we get to see them go through one final hardship, one that will either make or break them, one that makes each of them stronger as individuals.
I’m someone who has never seen anyone more fitting for Magnolia that BJ, but this book gave him so much character development yet he remained the same beej we love at the same time that i just knew he deserves all the happiness coming his way.

I think this series shows how flawless people are, even when they think they’re perfect. How it’s not possible to judge a book by its cover because people are people; they lose and they grief, they cheat, they mend and break and fix. And life still moves on.
Only the real ones stay.

So no, i don’t think this is a fun little toxic book, because those characters are portrayed as real as it can be (maybe not all the time lol but still) and they’ll live with me forever.

Magnolia and BJ carved their own space in my heart, and for the emotions they gave me, i am forever grateful.

So thank you, Jessa.

I devoured this book. The long way home’s ending had me reeling so I could not wait to pick this one up! As with every book in the magnolia parks universe it was a rollercoaster ride. One minute you’re laughing the next angry. Then you’re crying. This series really imo captures those complicated relationships tight knit groups have. This book was 6/5 stars for me. And I could’ve easily read another 700 pages. The growth they have had over the length of the series just blows my mind. I can not believe we are done with beej and magnolia. I will never not recommend this series to everyone. This filled the void that gossip girl left me in my younger years and made it over flow in a way I didn’t know was possible. Can not wait to see what’s ahead for daisy.

THIS BOOK. This book is just so good. Jessa Hasting is an amazing writer, and she truly makes you feel connected to the characters. I'm sad to hear that this is the last Bj and Magnolia book, because I just want more of them. Jessa Hasting always leaves you wanting more and more. I would absolutely recommend this book, and series to people. It is truly a masterpiece of a series, and deserves its popularity.
