The designs in this book are all very sweet and I think the concept of them being reversible is very clever. I liked that each pattern contains lots of photos. Due to the complexity of the patterns as well as the fact that fur yarn is used for every design, this book is definitely aimed at a more advanced crocheter and is not for beginners.

My main issue with this book is that a lot of the assembly instructions for attaching the sides of the project are at the front rather than with the pattern which would be annoying to try and work from. Personally I would want the instructions to be with the rest of the pattern and to have pictures specially for this step.

Overall I think this book would be great for an intermediate/advanced crocheter looking for a challenge!

A very comprehensive guide on crocheting amigurumi with detailed instructions and photos. I know how to crochet and I have been thinking about trying amigurumi. I would definitely try something from this book now.

🧶 Just finished "Crocheting Reversible Amigurumi Projects" by Jessie Van In – her talent shines in these reversible designs! While they're stunning, I'd say they're more suited for intermediate to advanced crocheters. Beginners might find the fur yarn and intricate assembly a bit challenging. Perfect for crochet vendors though – these designs are sure to fly off the shelves! Overall, gorgeous patterns with a user-friendly layout. #netgalley #CrochetReview #AmigurumiDesigns 🌟

Learning crochet has been hard for me. But I can’t wait to learn to put some of these to use and makes form of these!

These little guys look like so much fun! The pictures in this book are very clear. There is a whole introductory section about crocheting in general, using gauge swatches for these projects, and tips & techniques for using fur yarn. Some of these areas show photos of the right and wrong way to do things, which is extremely helpful. When you get to the pattern there are multiple photos of different steps to help you out. These instructions are very detailed, as is the pattern. Because of the difficulty of crocheting with fur yarn, I'd say this book is probably for crocheters headed to the advanced stage. However, if crocheting with fur (and all the steps of amigurumi, making and attaching multiple small pieces) comes naturally to you, the patterns are straightforward. It just takes time and effort. ;)

I received an electronic arc of this book from the publisher via NetGalley and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.

The first third of the book is instructional and will be a very good reference. The crochet eyes will be very useful. I really like the owl and penguin projects and look forward to giving them a try.

This has cuteness in abundance, a great resource for anyone interested in making cute gifts for others or even themselves, great instructions and lots of pictures.

As a still learning crochet beginner, I maybe shouldn't have asked for this ARC as it does go a bit over my comfort level. The patterns are cute and easy to follow, however, I personally lack the confidence to give them a try.

What I did take away from this book is the amount of information, tips and tricks from the beginning of the book! I've done a few complicated crochet projects already but no amigurumi projects yet and the information that was covered in this book was extremely helpful. Attaching eyes is a big thing for me and this book has a pattern for crocheted eyes that is adorable! Also the tips for a magic ring, joining colors together, making a knotless chain - all of this will help me for years to come as I grow in my crocheting.

Thank you to Netgalley and Jessie Van In for the ARC and the knowledge I now have!

Such a great crocheting book! I love the beautiful , colorful photos throughout the book.
This book is good for both new and experienced crocheters. The book begins with clear directions and photos of basic crochet stitches and other necessary skills. As I was reading through, I found a few tips that I wasn’t familiar with, ,and I’ve been crocheting for years! I also loved how the projects use both ‘regular’ and furry yarn, such a great combination to give an adorable amigurumi animal .
As I was looking through the book, this sentence made me smile-“Your crochet and sewing supplies can be as colorful and fun as the figures you’re creating’. I love bright colors too, and just loved seeing so many beautiful colors throughout the book.
I have started a few of her projects and will be finishing them soon. Can’t wait to give them to my grandkids!
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for this ARC.

These animals are so cute! I know that this is going to show my age with this comment, but they sort of remind me of Popples! The big difference is that Popples only turned into a ball. Whereas these darlings turn into other things depending on the project you choose. For instance, the pattern for the fox has an inside that is a cat. The otter becomes a seashell.

The other cool thing is that you don't have to make them reversible if you don't want. You can actually make them one sided and seal them closed. So, if you only want that adorable panda bear, then you make the panda part of the pattern and then fill it with stuffing and seal it off. Then you have a cute stuffed panda.

There are so many handy tips and guidance in this book that even beginners like me have a chance at creating these cuties. I know that it will take me awhile to finish one of these patterns, but I am working my way through one at the moment, stitch-by-stitch. Granted, it is turning out bigger than it is supposed to be. That is because my stitches are still pretty loose. But as I said, I am learning, and the directions are easy to follow for a beginner.

Thank you NetGalley and Fox Chapel Publishing for providing me with a digital copy of this book in exchange for an open and honest review.

Firstly, this book caught my eye from the start - reversible amigurumi! A unique and immediately exciting opportunity to crochet something new and items I'm sure my nieces and nephews would love. The book is very detailed, with clear instructions on how to join the pieces together. The different types of fur yarns and textures available for the desired effect are also included. A URL is given to search for suitable alternative yarns to those given in the pattern if unavailable. Details on swatches and checking the guage to ensure the end product is the same size as the pattern states. I love how the book has patterns to crochet the eyes - I have found this quite rare. Personally, I prefer crocheted eyes both aesthetically and to increase safety when giving the items as gifts to young children. I also like how it says "project complete!" after each project, building the sense of satisfaction and achievement at the end. Overall, I found this book a delightful read, with unique patterns and ideas. I think any crocheter would find this the perfect resource for exciting new patterns.

⭐️=4.5

This is a beautifully put together book with plenty of pictures, labels, and detailed instructions. The patterns have correctly identified difficulty labels as well. I have to say that the projects themselves aren't the cutest things I've ever seen––I think part of that is due to the fuzzy yarn, honestly––but the patterns are well-written and creative, which is impressive!
