This is an amazing read for the summer or to bring you joy. Ashanti is a doggy daycare owner who is caring for her twin sisters while trying to expand her business. She loves what she does but she is trying to balance everything and she is having a hard time. Thad is an army vet who has retired from the military to take care of his grandmother, her dog, and trying to open a bar/hang out spot for fellow vets. Ashanti and Thad are grumpy and sunshine lol. Ashanti’s puppy dutches is in love with Thad’s grandmothers poodle puddin. These two dogs cant stand to be apart and when they are together it is literally a scene out of Lady and the Tramp. These two loving puppies bring Thad and Ashanti together after a trip to New York or an amazing opportunity. This story has so much love, laughter, and joy. There is a bit of heaviness with one of the twin sisters but all things will work themselves out. Perfect read for the summer or a cozy time :)

Cute, but not amazing. But I’m not a dog person at all, so I’m probably the wrong market for this. I bet dog people give it more stars. 😁

I really liked it!

It’s been so long since I’ve read a romance by Farrah, I was happy to jump back in. Just like her boyfriend project series, I really liked this one!

The dialogue between friends and the main characters felt relevant and natural. So conversational, I found myself giggling so much while reading this book.

I loved the dog aspect more than I expected. I loved how Thad wasn’t a dog person and how he slowly converted to the other side. I could just picture Duchess, and I loved Puddin’s personality. Very early in I texted Jesse just “I love Puddin!” Lol

Pardon my Frenchie comes out on 6/4! Thank you readforeverpub for the arc!

As a dog lover this book was a joy to read. The heroine is raising her younger twin sisters and running a doggy daycare. The hero just got out of the military. He is the grandson of a patron of the daycare that owns a poodle. The poodle and the heroine’s frenchie go viral. And the story ensues. I very much enjoyed it. I hope we get more from this world.

I voluntarily read an early copy.

THIS BOOK WAS FUN AND LOVELY!

I enjoyed the cute aspect of the book, the doggies, the romance and the couple. The forced proximity in this cause of the doggies had me laughing out loud sometimes. They mutually agree to go on this mutual beneficial arrangement and their attraction is just palpable.

I will say maybe check trigger warnings. Ashanti had to raise her sisters alone because her parents passed away in the past. Thaddeus is ex-military.

I got an e-arc of this book on NetGalley. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Oh this book is adorable!

I read it because I'm a Frenchie mom and I love rom coms but I ended up loving sooo much about this book.

"Ashanti Wright is thrilled over the success of her doggie daycare, Barkingham Palace. But handling the business and taking care of her teen twin sisters is a lot. And now that the antics of her adorable French bulldog and poodle bestie are blowing up on social media, things are even more chaotic than usual. And they only get worse when the world’s worst dog hater shows up."

Rochon creates a rom com within a realistic world of budgets and business ownership and a woman pulled in a million directions.

Ashanti's internal struggles with the different roles in her life are something that I think any woman can relate too.

Really enjoyed reading.

Dog lovers need this one! This was a cute, breezy read. The chemistry between Shanti and Thad was believable (you know, after Thad got over his RIDICULOUSLY GRUMPY phase...like to the point where I wasn't sure how he would pull himself out of it) and I loved the whole "saving my business" aspect of it.

And man, does Rochon save up all of the steamy parts for the final quarter of this book! Like - for real, for real. Haha.

This is one of those books that while I enjoyed it and don't regret finishing, I'm not sure that it will stick with me. But I'd still be willing to read the next installment (as long as it's about Von. Von or we riot).

Ashanti Wright is the owner of a fancy doggy daycare in the Big Easy who is taking care of her twin sisters. Grumpy Thad Sims inherited his grandmother's poodle because of his grandmother having to move in a facility where pets are not allowed. But Ashanti and Thad are thrown together as they each strive to build their business and unlike their pups who are best buds, these two are not friends at all.
This slow burn is a fun, flirty journey that had me laughing along the way. Farrah Rochon knows how to pen charismatic characters that pull at her heart strings while making you laugh out loud. I truly enjoyed this read!!

Don't really care for books with pets as what seems to be the main character, but this was a good funny read.

This book was adorable and I loved it. The cover is so cute, and everything inside just made me feel good.

Ashanti owns and operates a doggy daycare called Barkingham Palace (best name ever) with a growing side business baking and selling dog treats, and she is also guardian to her teenage twin sisters. She’s already got a lot on her plate when a cute video of her Frenchie, Duchess, and her poodle best friend, Puddin’, goes viral. Enter non-dog person Thad, grumpy grandson to Puddin’s owner come to care for him when Mrs. Frances has to enter a facility that doesn’t allow pets. Immediate clash of personalities begins to shift as Ashanti and Thad are pushed together for all kinds of publicity outings for their dog duo.

I loved Ashanti and her optimism while she also kept it real. She was never shy about admitting when she was having a hard time, but she also never let herself stay down. The sacrifices she made to care for her sisters were admirable, and the relationship between them proved she’d done a great job in the years since she’d had to step up. I also loved her support system of Ridley and Evie who had no problem stepping in to tell her when it was time to prioritize herself and to help her out with no hesitation. Also impressive was Ashanti’s obviously skilled business mind. She’d created something great out of the curveball life through at her.

I also loved Thad. He was the best kind of grumpy in that he knew when he was being an ass, looked inward to recognize why, and talk it out with whoever he needed to while still allowing himself to feel his feelings. And he really was just a big ol’ softie underneath it all. His chemistry with Ashanti was immediate right from the jump, and it was such a sweet transition to tentative friends while the attraction simmered between them. It was a slow-ish burn but never a doubt things were going to heat up. More than the heat between them, the camaraderie and mutual respect and care they developed was just as lovely. I loved as they each let their guards down to let the other in. There were complicated family situations that came into play for both Ashanti and Thad that added a dose of the real world into the canine shenanigans (which, unsurprisingly, I loved). Being an ear and a shoulder to lean on in those situations really helped establish the strength of the bond between them.

Truly, this book gave me warm fuzzy feelings and had me smiling a ton while I was reading. Thank you to NetGalley and Forever for the eARC in exchange for an honest review.

Pardon My Frenchie begins with Ashanti, the exhausted owner of Barkingham Palace which is a doggy daycare. In addition to that, she also sells her own line of dog treats called Duchess’s Delights which are named after her beloved French bulldog. While Duchess is happy and content with her bestie Puddin’, things quickly shift.

Ashanti finds out that one of her favorite clients was put into a nursing home and her surly nephew is in charge of her beloved pooch, Puddin’. Things only get worse for the two as she finds out he’s done the unthinkable and pulled the plug on some of her plans. As with most romances, the two are invariably forced together.

After Puddin’ and Duchess become internet sensations, Ashanti and Thad are forced to spend time together. First, it’s a way to help both of their businesses but then, it’s a race against who can ignore the other’s attraction more. While it’s fun at first, it eventually becomes too much, and from there, it feels like a constant simmering flame between the two.

The romance isn’t the only storyline we’re following, though. Ashanti is dealing with raising and being the guardian of her twin younger siblings. Thad is readjusting to life outside of the military and possibly finding out secrets about his grandfather. While those plotlines aren’t as huge, they are hard-hitting and at times, emotional. Even so, it added some brevity to such a fun and light romance.

All in all, this was such an adorable romance and is perfect for all the dog lovers in your life or those craving some low-stakes fun. Pardon My Frenchie is an absolute gem of a romance.

This book was a cute, fluffy, and heartwarming romcom with lots of dog love. The fmc Ashanti owns a doggy daycare and is the caretaker of her twin teenage sisters. She's been trying to expand her doggy daycare business and was looking to buy a building which is taken away by the mmc. The mmc Thad is a retired veteren who is also trying to expand his business and doesn't really like dogs. They sort of clash since they are in close proximity and become rivals.

It's a slow slow burn but the book is so light and fun so it was cool. I enjoyed the characters and the romance it felt like a warm hug(with a bit of steam). This is light but there are themes of grief discussed in the story. I really liked the caregiver aspect and seeing Ashanti navigate taking care of her sisters. Thank you Forever for this arc.

This delicious romcom had all my favorite elements. The setting was adorable. The characters were quirky. The best friends were sassy. And the MMC was so hot. 🥵 I’m a big fan of the “looks like an alpha but is actually a teddy bear” main character. So ya, lots of chemistry. A slow burn with so much anticipation. And even though the scenes were fade to black, they were still a little spicy before the fade!

I loved the FMC too. She was smart and strong and wise beyond her years. And so capable! Watching all that she juggled made me tired! I was rooting for her to slow down and enjoy that fine man a little! lol. I also loved the viral video focus and the social media hype for the two dogs in the story. It was a wild ride.

This is my first book by this author, but it won’t be my last. Thanks to @netgalley and @readforeverpub for my review copy.

The cutest wholesome-est book EVER
The slow-burn really slow-burned in this one, and the dogs and the characters were soo amazing <3 like this is a book I'll definitely pick up again and reread

TWs - death of parents (past), custody battle (past, and threats in the present), cheating by a father figure (discovered on page), student getting blackmailed by a teacher (off page)

Farrah Rochon and a dog on the cover count me in. I love this author previous work so I was exited for this one. This is a cute lighthearted romance with extremely likable characters. I loved that his story shows what a successful women looks and doing what it takes to make her dreams come true. I wish it didn’t take so long for the romance but overall it was pretty good book.

I am a fan of Farrah Rochon. Her books have the perfect amount of steam, plenty of laughs, and characters that I fall for. Adding in cute, adorable dogs only made me love these characters more.

I would love to see this turned into a movie!

A saccharine slow burn between a charismatic doggy daycare owner and a retired veteran who moved back home to help family.

Ashanti our FMC, had a lot of things to juggle on her plate. She was the primary caretaker for her teenaged twin sisters, looking to expand/move her doggy daycare business, and balance her newer dog treats business; all while running herself thin. In walks this brooding hunk, Thaddeus, who is admittedly not a fan of dogs, to pick up his grandmothers wildly popular poodle. Thad has his own dealings with opening a business, keeping up with grandma and getting used to life as a retired veteran. The forced proximity worked overtime in this one!

The storyline really picks up after about 50% with family secrets, drama, and steamy moments coming full force. Please note it mentions some heavier topics such as: grief, familial death (discussed on page), terminal illness (cancer), war flashback.

If you are someone that dislikes slow burns this may not be for you. This story definitely leans more women’s fiction with romantic elements. Many of the chapters are geared towards Ashanti and her raising her sisters. Very cute nonetheless!

Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for the opportunity. All thoughts are my own.
