Super adorable first volume! I think this would be fitting for middle school ages and up. A fluffy and modern take on the classic Romeo and Juliet / war of two families trope. The characters are immediately lovable (I’m obsessed), art style is well done, and this graphic novel version is easily digestible.

This is the graphical novel I didn’t know I needed. It’s enjoyable, lighthearted and cute but has some easy to follow plot that makes you want more. The main premise is about a witch that creates havoc between her family and the group of local Vampires they are trying to impress by turning one of them into a cat. Now she has to somehow turn him back, which is a challenge since she is not very good at being a witch and cannot control her magic, and somehow try to make amends with the vampires, even if she doesn’t really know what’s going on.

The characters dynamics were so much fun to read and I can’t wait to know how this story develops since the plot has a lot of potential.

Overall, this was such a fast a quirky read and such a nice clean break from the heavier books I usually read.

Thank you to NetGalley and Wattpad WEBTOON Book Group for this digital ARC!

Morgana and Oz, Volume one - I really loved this one. It gave me Hooky vibes, which is a huge compliment. A powerful family of witches invites a clan of vampires to a meeting in hopes of ending a years long feud. When a dispute breaks out and chaos erupts Morgana, a teenage witch who has trouble with spells, accidentally turns Oz, a vampire, into a cat. Determined to return Oz to his body and hopefully fix the issues between the witches and vampires, Morgana tries to find the correct spell while keeping Oz a secret from her family. Morgana and Oz begin to rely on each other and see that witches and vampires aren’t so different. This book is so charming and fun and Morgana is an adorable character. The artwork is awesome and the story is engaging and exciting. I can’t wait to read more of this series! 4 stars.

Cute concept, middling execution.

This manga is adorable. It follows a very unsuccessful witch as she creates havoc between her family and the group of local Vampires they are trying to impress. Morgana is a terrible witch. Her spells fail. She can’t seem to remember what she should do. On the night her family is to meet with the local Vampires she manages to first destroy the dress her mother chose and then turn one of the Vampires into a cat. From there it’s chaos. Unfortunately, the pacing isn’t as even as it could be and the story feels like it’s barely begun when the book ends. I think I will try to read the next few in the series in the hopes that it improves!

This book was provided to me by the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

Morgana and oz
In order to make peace and protect humans from the vampires her family made peace with vampire clan. At least tried to. The vampires seemed to have a different agenda and the story goes on from there. Moregana is a witch but one who needs practice and she made a few mistakes at the beginning which caused chaos :D

The story is pretty funny and very quick to read. I loved the banter between moregana and oz. I loved how her brother mordecai was there to help her all the time. It was a cute sweet story and I’ll definitely continue reading the series

Morgana and Oz is a story about a witch and a vampire coming together during a time where both groups of people are filled with mistrust for one another based on misinformation and suspicious circumstances. The story slowly explores all of this through the hilarious and sort of sweet interactions and mishaps of the main characters.

This was an easy read. Although it feels a little young in spots, I think it will appeal to high school and adult readers. The first volume sets up interesting character dynamics and struggles that are relevant and relatable today. The plot flows smoothly and there’s just enough tension in to keep you invested and eager for the next volume.

The art style isn’t my favorite, but it’s not bad. I do like the color choices. The panels are also easy to follow.

Thank you to NetGalley and Wattpad WEBTOON Book Group for this digital ARC! The premise of a witch and vampire working together was enough to get me to sign up! And this was such a lovely little read 🥰 4/5 Stars

The Artwork: The artwork for this graphic novel was just so darn cute! It was very fitting for this story. The dark palette with softer tones lent itself to creating a cozier feel for the overall story. And the over exaggerated expressions brought some additional humor!

The Premise: The premise is what drew me in initially, and it was pretty well executed. Being Volume 1 of the collection, it set up the rest of the series to continue and unravel the mysteries and work towards a conflict resolution quite nicely. I’m excited to see where this Witch/Vampire conflict will lead and maybe find out some more about their past conflicts as well.

The Characters: Morgana is just the sweetest little witch. She’s a bit clumsy and not as talented as the other witches in her family, and it makes me love her that much more. Oz, is putting off bad-boy vibes but I’m sure he is a softie under it all. I’m happy with the development of these two throughout this portion and hope it continues on with some more characters as well!

I’m so excited for Volume 2 and hope to be able to read it soon! ☺️

This Webtoon is super cute!

I used to read a lot of mangas and comics, but it has been a while since I picked one up. My daughter is absolutely in love with Webtoon, so when I saw this ARC available on NetGalley I jumped on the chance to read it.

First of all, the art immediately drew me in. The drawings are beautiful and I love the stunning use of color.

As an avid reader of fantasy I find myself very much intrigued by the witch/vampire dynamics that this story focuses on. That being said the world building is also top notch.

This is an on-going Webtoon series, and I very much look forward to the next installment.

Morgana and Oz's story has to be the funniest modern take on a Romeo/Juliet story that I've read in a while!

The story begins with a typical paranormal world where witches and vampires are rivals and humans hate everyone. But where other stories just skim the surface of a conflict like this, this first volume gives us hints of deeper political reasons and secrets/miscommunications that are fueling the discord between the clans. This sets the background for the lovely and chaotic meet cute, where during an important peace meeting a faulty spell means clumsy, sunshine witch Morgana and grumpy vampire Oz end up having to work together not just to reverse the spell, but to figure out who really disrupted the peace meeting.

On the graphic side, the use of color really surprised me, especially how well the balance is between the darker colors--to maintain witchy/goth vibes--and the vibrant greens (gardens, forest), yellows (magic items, sunshine, flowers) and purples (Morgana's magic and room) of the settings. My favorite has to be the pops of red and how they really stand out on every page, from Oz's eyes to Morgana's ribbon. It all worked to keep me reading, but also stop and appreciate the panels.

I enjoyed reading Morgana and Oz Volume One, and am already eager to read the next!

I loved Morgana and Oz Volume One! With witches, vampires, and cats, this fantasy graphic novel has everything I could want. The only problem - this ends in a cliffhanger and I need Volume Two ASAP! I have my suspicions on where the story is headed and am excited to see if I am guessing correctly.

I received an ARC from WEBTOON Unscrolled via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

So amazing. The world building was great. The cliff hanger ending had me wanting more. The artwork and color are great. The characters are interesting and have backstories that are hinted at. I can’t wait for the next installment!

4.5 out of 5 stars!

Morgana and Oz is simply charming. I had previously read some of the webtoon years ago, so I was delighted to receive an eARC of the graphic novel edition thanks to NetGalley!

Morgana the witch is cute and endearing; she struggles with casting magic properly yet retains a sense of optimism while trying to fix her mistake of turning Oz into a cat. Oz the vampire is mysterious; he seems brooding and quiet, but becomes more impassioned and kind throughout his time with Morgana. The developing relationship between the two is excellent, and I can't help wanting to see more of them together. The illustrations are simple and pleasing, and at times much more detailed in the depictions of plants or spells. Both main characters have great designs - I always love a cute, large witch's hat, and of course I'm always a fan of a white haired anime boy.

My only complaints are minor and come from the transition of webtoon to printed graphic novel. At times the pacing seemed a little off, and I think the book ended on a very abrupt note. Overall though, this was still a great read.

ARC Copy...Thought it was promising so far and the end of the volume left me with burning "what will happen next"? Find it interesting that some slight "Romeo and Juliet" elements of star-crossed romance but also...who would want witches and vampires fighting?

As you generally expect with WEBTOON novels… this story was pretty amazing!

First, the art. The art was absolutely gorgeous. The time and effort that the author took to draw the backgrounds, add details, and especially the facial expressions. The art really demonstrated Morgana’s expressiveness throughout the story and it was really cute. So… suffice to say, the art is 10/10.

Then, you have Morgana and Oz themselves. Morgana is a cute witch who is struggling with her magic. She’s a little naive but she’s the sweetest and really tries to do the right thing. Oz, meanwhile is an angsty vampire who is secretly a cinnamon roll who starts caring about Morgana. The circumstances that they meet under aren’t the most ideal… but they make it work and honestly, you start rooting for Morgana and Oz as they try to figure out what the heck is going on.

Then, the story is also great as well. It starts out a bit slow and there is a lot of worldbuilding, but slowly, clues start being added up and you wonder… is there something bigger going on? The story ends on a bit of a cliffhanger but… I thought that the worldbuilding and tension leading up to that point was great. It definitely made me want to keep reading.

Overall, 4.5/5 stars.

Can’t wait for the next volume!

I first found out about this characters a few years ago on Pinterest and was so excited when I found this book here on NetGalley! I read it in one sitting and absolutely cannot wait to read the rest of it!!

Oh my gosh I literally cannot get over how cute this is. I thoroughly enjoyed every page. The artwork was phenomenal and just beautifully done. I was so captivated with every page🤩

I am obsessed with Oz, the grumpy vampire turned grumpy cat. Morgana being a bubbly witch who struggles with her powers is the icing on the cake to this forbidden love trope. I cannot wait to read more about this vampire/witch feud!!

Thank you NetGalley for allowing me to be an ARC reader! I highly recommend this graphic novel✨ Very enjoyable read with absolutely gorgeous artwork🥰

Morgana and Oz was the perfect read coming off of a binge re-watch of Netflix’s Sabrina. Morgana is a teen witch trying to learn how to control her magic.. but not doing so great with it. Oz is a grumpy vampire that she turns into a cat. YIKES. This book is a great quick read since it’s a graphic novel and has perfect grumpy/ sunshine characters. There’s also a feud between the families that we start getting into in this volume with a lot of mystery surrounding it. I was so enthralled by this volume that I instantly downloaded the WEBTOON app so I could read more. I will definitely be buying a physical copy when it comes out because while the story is great on it’s own, the art is to die for. It’s somehow cozy and dark mysterious at the same time. Miyuli is incredibly talented and you can feel all the emotions so well in the pages.

P.S. Morgana’s dad is the best and I love him with all my heart

Ahhhhh, I am so excited this is getting published. I adore the art and the story is fantastic. Morgana is such a likable main character and Oz is so dreamy, even when he is being a sourpuss. This volume is the perfect introduction for a grumpy/sunshine pairing with family dynamics, a witch/vampire feud, and humor sprinkled throughout. I love where they chose to end Volume 1, but be warned: you are going to want more of the story immediately!

Loved this! The art is fantastic and cute. I adored the story line of Morgana and Oz, it seemed simple but I loved how it flushed into this complex world. 10/10
