Thank you to NetGalley for the opportunity to read an eARC of Laughing All the Way by Mia Summers.
This was the perfect book to get me into the Christmas spirit. Loved the setting of the book and the characters were on point!

Laughing All the Way is a unique book in the Christmas book genre as the main character is a successful online influencer that is snarky towards all things. Noelle Hamilton is jaded and decides to invade Evergreen Creek, otherwise known as Christmas Town USA, for her latest online adventure. Her followers expect a certain level of snark and nasty and Noelle sees this a perfect opportunity to expose the town as "a manufactured winter wonderland." Little does she suspect that Colin Bennet, the heart throb mayor and the sincerity of the residents of Evergreen would melt her loathing of Christmas deeply rooted in her childhood traumas.

Instead of mocking the town, Noelle uses her platform to help them fundraise and make their Christmas festival a raging success. As the townspeople sincerely welcome her and Colin converts her to loving Christmas, Noelle grows as a person and also opens up to the possibilities of Christmas magic and romance. I appreciate the change Noelle experiences and the modern angle of using social media as a influence for good. I am glad I was able to receive this book as an ARC from NetGalley.

This book was a giant hug wrapped in a big cookie. I really enjoyed all the different characters and the interactions between all of them. I could picture myself living in a place like this. It was the perfect holiday read that didn’t feel too hallmark-y.

Laughing All The Way brings readers to Evergreen Creek, where "snarky" influencer Noelle is tasked with reporting on the self-proclaimed Christmastown in an attempt to boost her social media ratings and keep her job.

The MMC Colin is the epitome of a hallmark book boyfriend. I loved his commitment to his families legacy and love for his town. It was easy to feel an emotional connection to his story. Evergreen Creek has a number of adorable townspeople, most of whom provide comedic relief that helps to keep this story light. The town is enchanting, and you can't help but feel connected to its charm.

This book is marketed as a Grumpy X Sunshine match-up with banter, & Hallmark vibes. I thought it was an interesting take as we are not often treated to an FMC playing out the grumpy role in this trope. Unfortunately, despite referring to the FMC constantly as a "Grinch," I actually didn't feel that she was portrayed as grumpy or snarky. This behavior was implied when referencing her previous videos, but we didn't get experience this side of her directly aside from the occasional eye roll.

Personally, I was hoping for some more pushback between the FMC and MMC. I think that if the book had been even 50 pages longer, it would have allowed for a more gradual connection to form in order to truly deliver a Grumpy FMC.

While Laughing All The Way may have missed the mark for me in terms of some of the tropes, I still think this story is a great choice for a reader looking for a quick, easy holiday option, with loveable characters.

Thank you to Netgalley and Mia Summers for providing me with a copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.

I really need a Hallmarky Chrismas book. I found it in this one. This Follows Noelle a video influencer and a skeptic about anything to do with the holiday. Until she comes to a small town and a Holiday Festival for her job.
Once she meets the Mayor Colin and the people attitudes change and the story turns happy. I loved this story.

I would like to thank NetGalley, Mia Summers and Sterling & Stone for an ARC copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.

Is it still acceptable to read a Christmas book after Christmas? I certainly think so.

3⭐- Noelle, an influencer who visits a small town to cover the local Christmas Market. Where she meets Mr. Perfect, who happens to be the mayor.
Will the Christmas loving mayor change the way Noelle views Christmas?

This book gave me such "Hallmark Christmas movies" vibes.
The story is a cute holiday read, the characters are likeable however the last few chapters felt a little rushed.

Thank you to the author, publisher and @NetGalley for this ARC in exchange for an honest review!

Christmas themed grump (or grinch) and sunshine in a Christmasy town?! Definitely felt like Hallmark movie material from the description.

Our snarky, grump influencer/‘reporter’ Noelle is sent off to add viewers and likes into the town thats all about Christmas because, well, her boss thinks thats fair.

Rightfully so, our town Christmas Cheer meister Colin is dubious of her intentions in their small but sweet town.

I loved all the Christmas themed events and their whole Christmas Festival, but a lot of the comedy and relationship felt flat. A solid holiday read.

I don’t often end up loving Christmas themed books even though I’m a sucker for hallmark movies but I loved this one. And yet again Mia showcases real life hurdles and obstacles in her characters life’s and doesn’t just keep it all rosy and perfect. I want a look back on this couple next year. Maybe a book around two other characters with them in the background.

This book is absolutely the cutest and sweetest story! The book is filled with so much warmth, love and all things Christmas that the holidays are the perfect time to pick up this book to read.

Laughing all the way is your classic Christmas rom com with all the festive feels you could hope for. I’m a sucker for an enemies to lovers trope and this definitely fits that description as the relationship between Colin and Noelle rapidly escalated.

I absolutely adored the relationship between Colin and Angela. It was so special and I just found myself wanting to read more and more of them.

I did enjoy the ending to this book however, I do think the last few chapters were a little rushed. There seemed to be so much more detail and development within the first 3/4 and not so much at the end. Despite this, I thoroughly enjoyed this read and would recommend to anyone looking for a festive pick me up!

Cute. Light. Adorable.

Sometimes Christmas romance rom-com Hallmark-ish stories just hit right. This adorable grinch type story about a grumpy influencer (her) sent to cover a holiday village with a gorgeous, young mayor (him) was just perfect. I thought the banter was cute, the town even cuter. I loved the grandma reindeer song being pulled into a metaphor for family unity. lol It was fun. Light and sweet, I enjoyed it!

A huge thank you to the author and publisher for providing an e-ARC via Netgalley. This does not affect my opinion regarding the book.

Before reading this story, I was filled with so much hope that I would find a cute holiday romance that would sweep me off my feet; unfortunately, that was not the case.

This story has a lot of potential to grip the reader into the Christmas spirit while allowing them to immerse themselves in the plot with tropes everyone adores. The story follows Noelle, a famous influencer who is known for her sarcastic and witty reviews, as she is assigned to experience the town of “Christmas Town, USA”. As someone who claims to hate Christmas and everything involved, Noelle makes it her mission to gain more views and increase her ratings as quickly as she can so she can return to her Christmas-less life. Hearing about the impending publicity Noelle may bring to his hometown, Collin, the adored town mayor, makes it his mission to show Noelle the beauty of Christmas while aiding in the town fundraiser. As their paths collide, the meaning of Christmas is explored and a spark slowly burns.

This story was set exactly like a classic Hallmark film with a classic small town and friendly community that is always there to help. Due to this, it was not difficult to imagine the setting and particular scenes. But, it was because of this that I believe the characters could have shined more. The author could have added a wealth of information by building each character into more than just words on paper but a person you want to root for. The use of dialogue could have been reduced more to allow the audience to go inside Noelle’s head and see her true feelings on Christmas instead of telling the reader without any build-up or context. Many times it felt as if the author tried to force certain emotions onto the reader by making the characters share personal information while crying when there was not much history between them to warrant such a reaction. As well, some of the side characters felt as if they were placed to just cause problems instead of being a friend to the main characters and assisting them in their endeavors. The romance between Collin and Noelle could have been so much more if their friends had just spoken to them while also adding more to the plot of finding the meaning of Christmas.

The story was very predictable, which is not necessarily a negative aspect since many readers enjoy the typical romance with a happy ending. This romance was just not for me. If the author had spent more time building up the characters and adding more to the plot, I honestly think I would have enjoyed this story a lot more. There were too many fleeting moments of attraction from both parties instead of an actual spark of interest. I liked the message of being with family and friends during the holidays but it would have been nice to see the main characters together as well.

This was a cute, quick holiday read! I loved the Christmasy, hallmark vibes of the small town and the grumpy x sunshine characters. If you enjoy Hallmark movies, small towns, social media influencer stories, and a little Christmas magic, you'll like this one!

This is a very, very sweet Christmas romance novel - almost as sweet as the boozy Christmas cakes Mrs. Claus is selling at their Christmas market! I absolutely loved the relationship between Colin and Noelle and how they grow and evolve throughout the book. I will say, if you are looking for a steamy novel, this isn't it. This is a sweet, sincere Christmas story that has a slow burn throughout that pays off at the end. If you are a lover of all things Christmas, jump on your snowmobile and get yourself a copy!

I was offered the opportunity to read this novel for free ahead of publication through NetGalley in return for my honest and unbiased review.

This was such a cute holiday read! I’m a sucker for shorter novels so this was up my ally. I love how even in less than 160 pages we could see major character development of Noelle. I was routing for Noelle and Colin the WHOLE time. I’ll definitely be recommending this to friends for their next holiday read!

Thank you NetGalley for this ARC. Some cheesy Christmas parts but happy ending like all romance books should have. I liked the healing that took place in Noelle as the story went on and the slow burn between Noelle and Colin. A little slow in the beginning but engaging once I got into it. A nice holiday romance.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

2.7 rounded up to 3/5.

Mia Summers' "Laughing All The Way" takes readers on a whirlwind journey through the contrasting worlds of sassy influencer Noelle and the small-town charm of Evergreen Creek, renowned as Christmas Town, USA. The novel features a classic grumpy and sunshine trope, providing a quick and entertaining read with plenty of potential.

Noelle, the sharp-witted influencer, finds herself on a mission to take down Evergreen Creek, whose self-proclaimed title as Christmas Town she sees as an opportunity to boost her dwindling internet ratings. Enter Colin, the youngest mayor in the town's history, caught up in upholding traditions to the point of forgetting the true meaning of Christmas.

The narrative unfolds as Colin attempts to show Noelle the magic of Christmas, with hot chocolate, Christmas cookies, and a charming late-night skate around a giant Christmas tree. However, the chemistry between the characters feels rushed and lacks the depth needed to truly engage readers. The grumpy and sunshine dynamic is present but could have been explored more thoroughly to enhance the emotional resonance of the story.

One notable drawback is the inconsistency in keeping the plot straight. The rush in storytelling leads to grammatical errors and a feeling that certain aspects of the narrative were hastily put together. Additionally, it's challenging to root for Noelle due to her abrasive attitude, especially as she attacks Christmas solely for the sake of boosting her internet ratings, without any deeper motivation.

A redeeming aspect of the novel is the classic mistletoe moment that brings a turning point in the characters' relationship. However, it comes across as a somewhat predictable plot device rather than a genuine, heartfelt development.

While "Laughing All The Way" offers a festive and quick read, it falls short in fully realizing the potential of its grumpy and sunshine trope. The character dynamics, plot coherence, and depth of emotional connection could have been expanded to create a more compelling and satisfying narrative. Despite its flaws, the novel does manage to capture the essence of the Christmas season, making it a decent choice for readers seeking a lighthearted holiday romance.

Social media videographer makes a visit to a small town/village over Christmas season to cover their local days long Christmas festival.

Could the Christmas loving mayor help the social media video star and grinch thaw her icy heart

This was a cute holiday read. Fun character banter through the story.

The last few chapters just seemed to be so rushed. We had a great unfolding of the story up until the drama and then the story moved at lightening speed and I’m wondering how we got from A to Z.

This was a quick holiday read that I really enjoyed. Think holiday rom com with a social media influencer and hot mayor of a small town all about Christmas. I would love if the author continued a series in this small Christmas town!

Welcome to Evergreen Creek—a town so well described by the author that you feel like you step into a Hallmark Christmas movie each time you pick this book up! Noelle arrives with the mission of increasing her social media followers and early on, meets the young, handsome mayor, Collin. They take on Christmas events, adventures and unfortunate circumstances and along the way, discover things about themselves and each other. Love is in the air in this fun holiday book!
