Cute beach story but a little long for me. I actually had to read and take a break from this one because it just drug on in parts. Three girls take a vacation to find out it’s more like a vacation with rules and “parents” dictating what they can and cannot do. Parts of this book irritated me. I would not be tolerating the rules and crap when I paid that much money. So parts seemed far fetched but it was cute

In the tapestry of life, the pursuit of happiness often leads us to unexpected destinations. For Luna, Rory, and Jodie, a serendipitous convergence at a picturesque beach town kindles a bond of friendship, setting the stage for Beth Reekles' captivating novel, "Beach Cute." At the outset of their journeys, these three women find themselves at crossroads, grappling with life's uncertainties. Luna, reeling from a sudden breakup, seeks solace in the tranquil coastal retreat. Rory, yearning to break free from familial expectations, embarks on a quest for creative fulfillment. And Jodie, adrift in a sea of confusion, longs for clarity and direction. United by their shared longing for change, the trio embarks on an adventure that takes them beyond the sun-kissed beaches and charming cafes of their temporary abode. As they navigate the labyrinth of emotions and challenges that life throws their way, they discover hidden depths of resilience and strength within themselves. Through their interactions with the colorful cast of characters that populate the beach town, Luna, Rory, and Jodie gain valuable insights into the complexities of human relationships and the power of unity. They learn to embrace their flaws, celebrate their uniqueness, and find solace in the unlikeliest of places. Reekles' writing is a testament to the transformative power of friendship. With deft strokes, she paints a vivid picture of the extraordinary impact that genuine connections can have on our lives. Through the eyes of her protagonists, readers are reminded of the importance of surrounding ourselves with individuals who uplift, inspire, and challenge us to grow. "Beach Cute" is more than just a summer read; it is a reminder that even in the face of adversity, hope and happiness can be found in the most unexpected places. Reekles' novel is a delightful blend of humor, romance, and heartwarming life lessons that will leave readers feeling uplifted and inspired long after they turn the final page.

Rory, Luna, and, Jodie are three college students in desperate need of a vacation. Rory is trying to find a way out of law school, Luna is dealing with the recent breakup from her boyfriend, and Jodie is questioning even going to college.
.
This story was so cute and told in alternating POVs so we get a little bit of everybody's [perspective. Although their vacation was not what they had initially thought with a screen-free resort, the three of them quickly become close friends navigating the unexpected trip. I absolutely adored their friendship and how they each helped each other with personal growth.

This is a great summer read! It has all the required components of a perfect book to read at the beach or pool. A bit of romance, some mystery, and self-actualization. The storyline is a bit outlandish but that’s what makes it a great way to escape the real world!

Luna, Rory, and Jodie are three college students in need of a vacation. Luna is dealing with her recent boyfriend breakup. Rory wants out of her parent's law school plan. Jodie wants to ease into this college thing, maybe not even go. Told in alternating perspectives, the trio ends up at the same all-inclusive beach resort, devastated to learn electronic devices are not allowed. Unable to connect with their friends, family, and followers back home, they become fast friends, helping each other adapt to the resort's weird policies. Things get off to a rough start when Luna steals her phone and learns her ex-boyfriend may have already moved on, Rory causes a flood which leads to the girls being moved into a dilapidated villa, and Jodie deals with the possibility that the hot bartender is only interested in her for a one night stand.

It's a cute story of girls realizing that electronics and social media isn't all its cracked up to be. True friendship can only be found in the real, face-to-face world. The week ends up being a week of growth, each girl growing in self-awareness and realizing that even though they may not have the qualities of the other girls, their own unique qualities are equally important. It's a whirlwind week of crazy adventures. I was thoroughly entertained.
