The small town of Christmas Mountain, Montana may be losing their Country Club when it's bought by people who live in California. If that happens, Nina will lose one of the jobs she needs to support herself and her widowed grandpa. Can she and the town convince the son of the developer to leave the Country Club alone?

I loved the way Nina met Grayson--mistaking him for a furnace repairman--it was so funny, she didn't give him a chance to tell her he didn't know anything about a furnace. I liked how much Nina cared about her grandpa and her friends but she needed to learn to let them help her. I thought she and Grayson were adorable together. I liked all the descriptions of Christmas in a small town.

A Gingerbread Christmas by Susan Hatler is a sweet sort of opposites attraction story but only as far as the work decision that the two main characters are facing. Grayson is in town to help evaluate the possibility of where Nina works to be revitalized or torn down and something new instead. As far as the type of people are concerned, they are much the same. They are both loyal, dedicated, kindhearted and honest. I like them, I liked them a lot.

A heartwarming story with the right amount of drama, angst, romance, and surprises making it a memorable Christmas romantic story.

4.5 Stars
The publisher/author gave me a complimentary digital ARC of the book which I have voluntarily decided to read and review, giving my personal opinions and thoughts.

A lovely sweet romance story.
Nina is so busy, carrying out 2 jobs and looking after her grandfather whilst also feeling the responsibility to save the country club from closure. Grayson is the man who helps her see the brighter side to life and encourages her with her gingerbread creations, helping her to see her grandfather wants to move into the retirement home and that her future is to be with him. A nice feel good, cosy read.

A Gingerbread Christmas by Susan Hatler.
A sweet opposites-attract holiday tale that will inspire you to believe in true love. Nina works two jobs to support herself and her grieving grandpa in their small mountain town in Montana. When the failing country club where she works is bought by rich city businessman Grayson she fears she’s about to lose her job. Although Grayson is in town to evaluate if the struggling business can be resurrected, he seems honest and kind, and is somehow getting past the walls she’s built. It would be wrong to fall for the one guy who could ruin everything for her, but the more time Nina spends with Grayson the more she finds herself unwittingly falling for him.
I love this author. I've read a few of her books and loved everyone. This book is no different. It made a nice change. 5*.

Nina works two jobs and cares for her grieving grandfather in their small Montana town. When wealthy businessman Grayson buys the failing country club where Nina works, she worries about losing her job. However, Grayson’s kindness chips away at her wariness. Can these opposites find a future together?

Nina is a highly extroverted character who has a habit of jumping to (wrong) conclusions. Grayson is sweet and laidback, a good complement to her energy. She’s forced to confront her tendency to project her own worries onto other people, overcome her fears, and connect to her loved ones more deeply. I love how this author manages to show this character development in a sweet Christmas novella.

Thanks, NetGalley, for the ARC I received. This is my honest and voluntary review.
