I love any book I read by Christina Lauren and this one did not disappoint! I love the witty banter between characters. I love how descriptive the author was when describing the island and the characters! I loved Reagan, Liam, Anna, Charlie, and Blair’s! I was not a fan of Alex but every story needs a bad guy and hated Ray! But every story needs a bad guy! I couldn’t wait to find out the mystery surrounding PISA. Over all the minute I started reading this book I could not put it down!! I highly recommend it to anyone who loves romance!!!

Christina Lauren does it again. This romantic comedy has something to appeal to all romantic troupe lovers. There a little bit of billionaire romance, a sprinkle of grumpy sunshine, and a dash of comedic relief. This book was one that was difficult to put down and had you from the beginning.
The story is set between California and a tropic island paradise with less than perfect people. It truly shines a light onto the evils of money as well as the ways to overcome family drama and corrupt business. Liam, our leading man is easy to fall in love with his kind and protective demeanor towards our creative Anna. Anna is able to show Liam a unconditional love that he hasn't experienced before. While Liam is faced with choosing his future of money, family, love. or himself he grows and develops into a well rounded character worthy of love, but will Anna be able to overcome their difficulties?

Love Christina Lauren! Love this book! Love the deeper themes of this book and how the characters balanced each other out. I’f you couldn’t relate to one, you could definitely relate to the other. Great read!

Disclaimer: I am not a big romance reader, and need substance/reality in a book. I enjoy Christina Lauren's books, and dare I say that this is my favorite. I smiled throughout the book, and even teared up at one point. This is a story about two UCLA students who marry as a way to live in married housing and go their separate ways. Due to Liam's family/financial situation, they are brought together again that leads to a forever relationship as they navigate Anna's career and Liam's complicated career and family life. While I cannot relate to the incredible wealth described, the story was realistic, especially as Anna and Liam explore their feelings post paradise.

I have been a huge fan of Christina Lauren for a long time and they always deliver. This book was so easy for me to read and had me swooning one minute over Liam and cackling over Anna. I had high expectations with this one and it definitely exceeded all of them. If you’re wanting a marriage of convenience with strangers to friends to lovers thrown into a White Lotus-esque setting, then you’ll love this book. I’m still obsessing over Liam and Anna and how perfectly their story was told. As always, another amazing book from these two!

This was a fantastic book and my favorite Christina Lauren by far. The characters were great, and I particularly loved Anna's chapters. She was a refreshing protagonist and all of the conflict felt earned and real. A great read!

What an absolutely phenomenal book by this incredible writing duo. Christina Lauren’s writing style continues to grow and evolve, constantly outdoing themselves. This one has similar vibes to The Unhoneymooners (fake marriage, Island setting), but where The Unhoneymooners is a rom-com, this one is more romance with depth and family drama.

Liam and Anna are two incredibly well-written leads. Liam has a heart of gold, but comes from a wealthy family full of cold hearts. Anna comes from a single parent home where money was always in short supply. Both are strong characters that bring out the best in each other. I loved the slow build of their marriage/relationship. The way their feelings build was perfection.

I loved the rotating dual POVs, which readers have come to love in a Christina Lauren novel. This always keeps a story line moving, and this was no exception.

While this was a love story, it was so much more. There were so many raw emotions poured out on these pages & you felt like you were right there with them as they navigated through them. I was cheering them on as a couple and individually. These two quickly worked their way into my heart & I’ll have a hard time letting them go.

This rom com had me laughing out loud! I loved Anna and West’s relationship and overall maturity. Another great, fun Christina Lauren story. The pop culture references were fun (Indiana Jones! White Lotus!) but likely won’t age well in the long run. Regardless, so fun and I loved it!

Only one real complaint - Why is Goddamn the sexual innuendo go-to? I thought it was a typo! Noooo thank you.

I love Christina Lauren’s books! I can always count on them to be fun, flirty, mood lifters. The Paradise Problem is so exception! It has it all- brooding male main character, creative/quirky female lead, family troubles, tropical paradise, fake dating (marriage), etc!

While I enjoyed the storyline, I struggled a bit with the romance. There was definitely chemistry, but it mostly revolves around sex. Towards the end I caught myself skimming the sex scenes to find out what happened with the family conflicts. I also found her nickname for her husband’s genitalia a bit silly. All in all, I did enjoy this book and it’ll be a perfect easy summer read!

Loved this one by the dynamic duo Christina Lauren. It was steamy and the main characters were so easy to love. I got some major Crazy Rich Asian vibes from the over the top wedding chapters. Such a fun and easy read.

I really liked this book. Anna was funny. and Liam was likable as well though admittedly didn’t have much of a personality.

Some of the parts about the fathers business were confusing to me . and I am not sure if the epilogue had an error but they kept saying “Liam and his Goddamn” but not following up with anything

What is not to love with a Christina Lauren book? I can see Paradise Problem becoming a popular choice for pool and beach bags this summer. All of the favorite parts of a beach read - fake relationship. meddling family members, steamy love scenes, exotic locale, and true love! Christina Lauren seamlessly blends two author's voices into escapist fun. I will be recommending to fans of women's fiction and rom-coms (but readers will flock to this one for the beautiful cover, title, and author's name). I look forward to the next one from Christina Lauren.

I really enjoyed The Paradise Problem! This book has a little bit of everything, billionaire romance, marriage of convince, fake dating, forced proximity, the one bed trope, etc. I loved this cast of characters! I thought they were all written so well. I especially loved the banter between the two main characters, Anna & Liam. I loved the setting in this book and how vividly it was described. I felt like I was on the private island with these characters.

For the most part I thought the book was very well paced. I liked the fact that there were no loose ends, but in the epilogue, it felt as if the authors were going down the list of every storyline they needed to wrap up. It just felt rushed. I finished the book wanting more from the ending.

Overall, The Paradise Problem was a great read. I have posted a review on my TikTok account.

Christina Lauren have done it again! I couldn’t put down this book down! It had great tropes: marriage of convenience/fake dating, dual POV. I really liked West and Anna’s characters, their banter, and the family drama that went on in this book. Christian Lauren are an autobuy/request author for me and I already can't wait for the next release!

Fun and entertaining reading from Christina Lauren! I am never disappointed with any of their books and this is no exception. Anna and Liam are in a college marriage of convenience (which she thought was over at graduation) for cheap housing. Fast forward a few years later and the marriage was legally over! Surprise! I loved the drama and sweetness that ensued as Liam asks Anna to take their fake marriage to his sister's wedding. I loved this book and will re-read this summer in my Paradise!!

Christina Lauren is one of my favorite authors, so I was beyond thrilled to get approved for an ARC of THE PARADISE PROBLEM! Every time I pick up one of their books, I know it's going to be compulsively readable. This one was no exception. It regularly kept me up until 1 a.m. saying, "Just one more chapter..."

A few years ago, Anna and Liam got married so they could both qualify for family subsidized housing while at UCLA. They had a marriage in name only, and were roommates but never got to know each other. (This was one thing that nagged at me — if you're sharing space with someone, wouldn't you get to know them a *little* bit?) Anna was under the impression she signed divorce papers right after graduation... but she was wrong.

Liam shows up on her doorstep to tell her they're not divorced, and she needs to come with him to his sister's destination wedding on a private island in Indonesia. Oh, and they have to stay married for five years due to a clause in his grandfather's will that won't allow him to inherit hundreds of millions of dollars unless he's married. There's a lot going on here, and all of it is bonkers! I ate it up with a spoon.

This book is like Succession meets The White Lotus, but without the darkness of both those shows. Liam has a terrible family, but they're just regular terrible, not sadistically terrible. They run a huge grocery store chain, which was a fun detail. Despite his family's massive amounts of money and lavish spending, the book isn't a celebration of wealth — quite the opposite. I appreciated that.

Anna and Liam were great characters with tons of chemistry. And if you've been missing spicy CLo, you'[l be VERY pleased by the heat level of this book. I wouldn't say THE PARADISE PROBLEM is my favorite CLo book (for me, THE TRUE LOVE EXPERIMENT will be hard to top), but I had a great time reading it.

The reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that the pacing started to drag about halfway through. It felt like they'd been on the island forever with not a whole lot happening. Things picked back up again around the 65% mark, but I had to push through a few chapters to get there.

Christina Lauren does not disappoint. I love the comedy and banter created between the characters, the slow burn, and the "Crazy, Rich, Asian" vibe going on in the story. Such an fun, easy read.

I stayed up til 1 am to finish and annoyed the hell out of my husband the entire time because I couldn’t quit giggling like a little girl at all the cute banter.
Also, you *know* a book is good when I stay up late to read, because absolutely nothing is more important to me than my beauty sleep 😴

Anna and Liam meet in college when they both are in financial stress and needing an inexpensive place to live. The solution is to get married, so they can live in affordable family housing on campus. In the two years they were roommates, they hardly ever saw each other and were barely more than strangers. In fact, Anna thinks Liam’s name is West Weston the entire time, never realizing how silly that would be.

Fast-forward a few years and Liam seeks Anna out to continue their fake marriage arrangement. Liam is attending his sister's wedding and his wife is expected to be there by his side. He needs her to play along, so he can inherit millions of dollars from his family.
Anna thinks this is an easy task, until she actually meets Liam’s family, and realizes just how dysfunctional and chaotic they are.

Full of adorable flirting and hysterical family dynamics, The Paradise Problem had me grinning from ear to ear! Below the surface level there are thought-provoking sections on the importance of money, what is actually valuable in life, and biological versus found family.

Hopefully Christina Lauren goes on a book tour and I can snag a signed copy of this one, because The Paradise Problem is without a doubt one of my new favorites!

This is in my top CL reads! Liam and Anna got married to live in family housing at university. He has an inheritance contingent on a marriage lasting 5 years. It’s been 3 years since they’ve been roommates but Anna is down on her luck. Liam needs his wife to come to his sister’s wedding to prove he hasn’t been lying. They go to Indonesia and chaos ensues. Liam’s terrible family is obsessed with their wealth. I loved the fake relationship between Liam and Anna. It was funny and swoon worthy!

This might be one of the best this summer!

A marriage of convenience between Liam (West) and Anna, turns into a dramatic family wedding island vacation gone way wrong. I couldn’t put this book down - I needed to go to bed an hour and a half ago, but stayed up because Christina Lauren know how to right a story that draws you in. I loved Anna’s quirks that balanced West’s more calm vibe; adored how open and vulnerable they were with each other (all the feels here), and the romance and spice were perfect. The family dynamics and drama were so entertaining, but I loved the growth in certain individuals. I binged this in a day and a half (I had to work today - only reason why it took so long).
