Shari Lapena's latest is another thriller taut with suspense. It's about a murder in a small town in The United States, and the people surrounding the murder who are all suspects at some point. I will say, the person who in the end is found guilty was a huge surprise to me--hard to do! So I applaud the author for that. I was turning the pages SO fast. My main complaint is that this is supposedly set in the United States (Vermont) and there are several terms that are Canadian/UK--enough I started to keep track! Every time I came across one it kind of pulled me out of the story. Still a good book.

I did not like the ghost aspect of this book. The different perspectives were different, but I could've done without the ghost.

I always enjoy Shari Lapena's novels - but I will say, this felt incredibly different than what I've read from her previously. Told from the perspectives of those close to Diana, the victim of a chilling murder, Lapena pulls readers in with what feels like a insight into so many of the novel's characters. I will share that I guessed the twist early on - but still ended up feeling satisfied with the way in which the book ended, which I think is rare and impressive.

This book was excellent! It’s one of those rare books that keep you guessing amid the twists and turns and has a complete satisfying ending. This author has never disappointed me and I cannot wait to read more of her work.

I enjoyed The Couple Next Door a bit more than this one – the more mystery/thrillers that I read, the more I notice an often repeated premise.

That said, this is a good domestic thriller with interesting characters.

Set in a small town in Vermont where nothing ever happens, until it does.

The characters are well described and the story moved ahead at a decent pace. They do come across as quite naive for our present day however they are living in a small, relatively safe town.

I was hoping that I hadn’t guessed the killer – but I did!!

There was a supernatural element to this novel which I really loved - I would have enjoyed more of this part of the plot carried forward.

There were a few too many unanswered questions. Could a teacher now really get away with inappropriate behavior? Maybe we aren’t doing enough to keep our young people safe??

All in all this is a fun and quick weekend domestic thriller. Ms. Lapena is a talented writer and I will look forward to perhaps more insertion of the “supernatural” in her next novel.

I received an ARC of this novel from the publisher #Penguin Group Viking through NetGalley. It was my pleasure to read and review this title.

*Will post to Amazon upon publication

This book is a psychological thriller without the intensity of a rush. The plot is more mystery driven and I like how many things come to light in the wake of a death. This is written in multiple perspectives which was a little difficult to keep up with but I felt necessary for the development of the storyline. I will recommend to others.
Thank you to the publisher for an ARC through NetGalley in return for an honest review.

This was a solid thriller! At one point I thought every character was the suspect. It was told from various perspectives, but overall I felt it was easy to follow. I have been a fan of hers since "The Couple Next Door."

Fast paced!! Love the short chapters and every chapter ends in a clif hanger. A town full of secrets but justice is found in the end!

Shari Lapena creates psychological thrillers and this one is as creepy as the rest.
What Have You Done is set in a quite neighborhood where there is no crime. Until there is. When a popular young woman, Diana, is found murdered, suddenly the neighborhood becomes a hotbed of suspects.
I like the way that Lapena's book is full of cliffhangers throughout the book that keep my pages turning. I just have to find out more and more.

If you are looking for some scary escapism, this is it. (I find that when I get engrossed in a book my own stress disappears.)

Who doesn’t love a great Whodunit? The small town of Fairhill has a lot of secrets.. The death of Diana Brewer is bringing them to light. Is it her boyfriend? The creepy stranger? The sleazeball gym teacher? This one will keep you riveted and guessing up until the last page. I love
Lapena’s easy to read writing style and short chapters. She can do no wrong! I just reviewed What Have You Done? by Shari Lapena. #WhatHaveYouDone #NetGalley

I really enjoyed this thriller. It had a good amount of twist and makes you re-think your original “that’s who did it” a few times - stick to your gut, you’ll probably be right. The multi-POV kept the story interesting and the small town setting was ideal for the story.

What a thriller! Fast read that had many twists! I loved the setting because like all small towns, murders can happen and it rocks everyone’s world and relationships! When this is released it will be a great summer thriller to read on a beach trip!

I didn't love this, but I didn't hate it, either. I had a feeling that it wasn't going in the direction in which we're led to believe, but I didn't see the actual resolution coming, which I always love. As I am an eldritch forest goblin, it's a rare feat for a mystery to surprise me, so well done.

I read this book in one day - a definite can’t put down book. Lapena grabs you from page one and doesn’t let you go until the end! She puts so many moving pieces in motion - everyone becomes a suspect to the reader. Lapena’s books never disappoint! Thanks for the advanced copy!

Shari Lapena has done it again. The plot of her novels moves at a lightening speed, and readers anxiously work to unwind the twists of the plot. This book is no exception.

This is a solid thriller that hooks you right from the beginning. The chapters are short so you fly through it. Explores the idea that crime and killing can happen anywhere - even in the seemingly perfect,l and quiet neighborhoods.

Lapena, Everyone Here is Lying, has delivered another top-notch twisty thriller. Teenagers, Riley, Evan, and Diana are best friends. Seventeen and ready to take on the world, they just need to get through one more year in sleepy Fairhill where nothing. ever. happens. Content (for now) to hang out in the graveyard on Friday nights, drink vodka, and tell ghost stories, they even tolerate Diana’s boyfriend, Cameron. Only Riley knows Diana is not happy with how clingy Cameron has become, how he wants them to go to the same college, and how she plans to break away from him soon. Then a naked, dead girl is found surrounded by vultures in a field by a local farmer one morning, and none of them will ever be the same. Rumors and questions swirl and no one is above suspicion.

Lapena is the master of suspense, and she doesn’t disappoint with this one. Readers who enjoy domestic suspense, small-town crimes and twisty thrillers will flock to this one. Very highly recommended.

The body of a young girl is found in a farmer's field, setting off a tale with so many twists and turns that you'll be frantically flipping the pages to find out who the killer is.

Thank you to NetGalley, the author, and the publisher for allowing me to read this book in advance. WOW, what a book! As is usual, this book by Shari Lapena is absolutely gripping and a great read. The book starts with Diana Brewster killed and left in a field. The book switches back and forth between characters' narratives while the reader desperately tries to guess who killed Diana. There are many possibilities. I loved every minute of this book and really enjoyed the ending. Highly recommend!!
