What a sublime end to an awesome series. This is number four in the Maddison Kate series, and honestly I loved it, the others built to this story, but this one brought it to a beautiful conclusion. I know not everyone will agree as there is someone who we don’t know the identity of, but I think I have an idea of who it is. I plan to go read the series to find out if I’m right. MK has just grown into a marvellous young woman through the pages, someone who knows what she wants and is willing to go to great lengths to get it, the darkest lengths she will go to, to keep her people safe they will make you care so deeply for her. I adored the way this author started and ended the story in the Laughing Clown, there was a certain element of being wrapped up with that, there are parts that could have gone into better details, but overall there was a good pace and structure to the story.

Thank you Tate James, NetGalley and Bloom Books, for providing an eARC in exchange for an honest review! All thoughts are my own and left voluntarily.

Because of all extra action scenes and overall change of scenery, I upped my rating from 2.5 to 3. But here, here! I can basically copy paste my review from 'Fake' and I can make some small adjustments. Ok let's go (again):

This could easily be trilogy. Too many unnecessary and dragged out scenes.
Because of how addicting and easy to read this was, I actually had somewhat good time reading it. You know, the same feelings I got when I read other author's duology. It was so absurd and dramatic, that it became like a comedy to me. This is the same situation with MK series. So many situations and characterizations could be improved, but what did we get? Let me tell you:

1. Repetition, repetition, repetition.
2. Plot is somewhere between all the nonsense and cheesy interactions. With a dash of *drama*. Stalker and hitman plot was so dragged out. UPDATE- reveal and final dealings with the the stalker/hitman. felt rushed. Like, we have some watered-down plot for 4 books, but final culmination was done basically in few minutes. Bam bam bam and we are done. Oh joy!
3. Since the beginning, I never was MK fan. I don't know why, but I just don't like her that much. I don't get her why a lot of people label her badass. I guess I have different ideas about that. I experienced so many cringe moments with her, that I had enough of it for the rest of the year. Her ''I will get my revenge / I will show you my wrath / I will never forgive you'' threats were just that. Pranks with salt or hair dye, some 'stern words' and then after 2 sec - sexy time. Have a backbone for at least 2 chapters and stay true to your word, and not jump someone's d**k right after you say ''ohh, I will hurt you as much as you all hurt me''. You can't get both. girl! UPDATE - MK is still dumb :D I'm sorry. There were so many moments throughout 4 books and even in the final, that made absolutely zero sense. Oh, I have big target on my back + I have a stalker, what shall I do? I will probably be in the house with bunch of guards, her harem or whatever. Nah fam, she goes ice cream shopping with Steele (in previous book had a photoshoot with Archer, where their photos were on billboards), goes to investigate crime scene at the house, because what - they don't have their own people who they trust, sure.. Like there are so many moments that goes against the logic!
4. Still don't care about Archer. He could as well be a ghost. UPDATE - still don't care :D
5. I wanted to scratch my eyes every time when I saw words ' girl' , 'babe' or use of full name (honestly, I don't know why it bothers me but it does). I lost the count of my 'fav' words throughout the books.
6. We actually know so little about boys - pretty much all that you will remember is: Archer - angry fighter, who likes rain, Steele - pierced musician who's pro with guns and Kody - trainer who likes pizza and word 'babe'. Like, ok. I feel so attached. UPDATE - we got like 0.2% more info on them. I call it *progress*.
7. 'Twists' that does not make sense/were not necessary.

Perplexing - I wanted to give up on these books, but I still wanted to see how this will be wrapped up. Masochist much, I guess.

I will need to make a meme post about this.

Another amazing story by Tate James. I swear I need to get these in print now so I can reread them forever. So amazing and where are our special editions with the sprayed edges? This so far is my favorite of the series so far.

Madison Kate is a wild ride. She’s definitely a badass but she sometimes isn’t quite aware of her surroundings. I think this book showed her best side. She’s a lot more open about her feelings and her decision to make closure to her dark side. Great ending to this series!

Thank you NetGalley and Bloom Books for the arc of this book.

When I tell you I am obsessed with MK and her boys...OHEMGEEEEE
I have loved every single moment of this series; I've fallen in love with not one, but THREE leading men, I've sat with my mouth wide in shock as all the twists and turns have been revealed, and I have laughed, sobbed and swooned at every turn of the page.
Archer, Kody and Steele are a perfect match for MK - each one of them gives her something that has been missing in her life. I adore how she stood up to them and pushed back on their antics when necessary.
This series has become an absolute favourite for me and I can't wait to tell everyone all about it.

Thank you to the publish and netgalley for the arc of this book. This is the final book in the Madison Kate series and it did not disappoint. I could not put this book down once I started reading, which was theme with this series. I am going to keep this as a spoiler free review. This book was the spiciest of the series. It also gave a deeper level to the relationships between Madison Kate and her boys. This books did a great job of wrapping up all of the unknowns in this series while having some very spicy moments. I greatly enjoyed this series and will absolutely be reading more from Tate James.

The Fourth book in 4 book serial, not a stand alone, a tearjerking pageturner, 5 stars , bingereading this serial left me breathless and happy that I made it to the bloody conclusion.
KATE is book 4 of 4 in the MADISON KATE series. The blurb below may contain spoilers for previous books, and I urge you not to read it until you've finished HATE, LIAR and FAKE.

Blurb:

“I never miss.”

Riot Night changed my life.

Coming back to Shadow Grove turned it on its head.

I’ve been hunted, stabbed, stalked, tormented, and used. Hate fueled me, lies tore me apart, and in the end everything I thought I knew turned out to be fake.

Except… Riot Night also brought Archer, Kody, and Steele back into my life. No matter how much I’ve fought it, hated it, been lied to or discovered the deceptions—I want them in my life.

No one owns me.

No one is taking them away.

This is my life, dammit, and these guys are mine to keep.

If a war is what it takes, then a war is what they'll get.
