This was our first How to Catch a… book and it was really fun! I loved the illustrations and the story was great too. It had a really good rhythm that was fun to read. I thought it was neat that we couldn’t see the fairy godmother from the front throughout the book until the picture at the end because it almost felt like we were part of trying to catch her too!

Thanks for trusting me with your book in exchange for a review.

This is my first experience with the How To Catch.. series and I can see why it is so popular with K-2nd(?) grade kids.
The illustrations are so eye-catching. Kids will see something new each time (so much detail!). The rhyming scheme flows really well and I see this being a heavy rotation bedtime read. The "traps" are clever and create a lot of havoc which kiddos will relish.

Overall, another great one for this series. Keep 'em comin'! Cheers!

My young son loves this series of books. He always thinks they are so funny. He loved all of the different traps the kids made to catch the fairy. The illustrations are fun and engaging with lots of little details.

Another cute “how to Catch” book!
My daughter LOVED that it was a fairy!
We read this book 3 times in a row as soon as we got it, and each time my kids noticed something new in each picture.
My 3 year old son, loved it just as much as my princess story obsessed 5 year old daughter.
Highly suggested if your kid is a fan of any of the other How to Catch books.

My kids love the How to Catch series, so obviously we were excited to see this one available to read early! We own many of the books and have given them as gifts to friends and family! The drawings and story were so fun, as usual, but something about it didn't feel as "connected" as some of the other books. Almost like there weren't enough traps? It wasn't my kids' favorite of the series, but they still had fun reading it!

4 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Just as the other books in this series, the main character is on the run from children trying to catch them! The school kids are trying to trick and trap the fairy godmother (who just graduated from fairy school) on her first adventure in her career. There’s bubbles, glitter and a lot of fun packed into these pages. I really enjoyed the artwork and colorful depictions of each potential planned trap — this addition to the series will definitely be another hit with children.

Thank you to NetGalley and SOURCEBOOK Kids for an advanced read copy of this book.

My kindergarten daughter loves the How to Catch… series and we were so excited to be able to preview this book. The illustrations pop with bright colors and the characters faces are all very animated as in the previous How to Catch books. The book follows a fun rhyming pattern and kept my daughter engaged throughout the book.

This book would make a great addition to a K-3rd elementary classroom library. My elementary special education students will love this book as well!

The art is by far the best part of this book. My little one loved inspecting the pictures and giggles at all of the mayhem that was caused by the children. It’s already been requested that we read it again before bed.

*I received a free copy of this book and I’m leaving this review of my own volition.

Kids love the How to Catch series and this one won’t be any different! I loved the rhyming of this and the illustrations. It was also a cute story about helping these children. I bet kids will really like this one!

Thanks so much to netgalley and sourcebook kids for the arc of this one in exchange for an honest review!

I loved this book! I really enjoy the “How To Catch” series. I can’t wait to get a hard copy of this book!

I do have one feedback regarding formatting, in the app, it was separating the pages that belong together. For example, the two pages are a continued illustration but the other half was on the back of the page. Just wanted to make the editors aware.

Ahhh, I love this series! The fun, bright illustrations and nicely worded rhymes make this storybook enjoyable to read. I also really liked how goofy the fairy godmother was 🤪, she may not have had it all together but she really had heart!!

I received an ARC of this book through netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

This series of books usually lands solidly in the three star range for me. But they are crazy popular with the younger crowd. This book was an exception for me, but it won't be for them. I found this book to be delightful. The rhyming landed just right and I loved the tenderness with which the fairy godmother treated the kids. I'll definitely be ordering this one for my library and maybe for my personal collection as well.
