Thank you for this ARC. I can honestly say that I loved every single one of these books immensly and will pick up copies of each so that I may keep reading the stories. This is Me Trying was a suprise favorite, and I loved Most Ardently and A Tempest of Tea just as much as I thought I would.

An amazing compilation with sneak peeks of books coming out in 2024.
This book allows you to get a feel for what the books will be about without providing too much information. The books chosen are amazing and definitely going onto my tbr!

I am so happy I was able to preview these stories! I was already a fan of the author who wrote Ace Of Spades but super excited for her latest work. As most of these are soon to be released, i have taken the initiative to pre order several of these based on the teaser. I do also know that one or two will be featured in book subscription boxes. So excited for special editions amd full stories.

I AM SO EXCITED FOR THESE UPCOMING RELEASES! Can we talk about all the queer rep with these selections?! It brings me so much joy - and I talk about it all of the time.
What a great upcoming reading year!

The Fierce Reads Winter 2024 Digital Sampler is another winning sample of books. I like using these in my classes so that students can get a taste of different titles to see which one they want to read and/or explore as a mentor text for their own writing.

This was a great way to be able to decide if I was interested in these different books. Each author's work is shown by the first three chapters being here in this sampler. A few that I had wanted to read I was able to decide I could wait on. While others are I have to jump back into as soon as I can.

Rating: 4
Genre: Mixed
Thank you Macmillan Children’s Publishing Group for providing an e-copy through NetGalley

This was an exciting sampler with many good reads! Out of the twelve books above, here are the two that I recommend (Bias: I tended to like fantasy over realistic).

A Tempest of Tea by Hafsah Faizal
Immediately hooks you from the start. The dual point of view is fantastic, and I already loved the contrast between the two main characters Arthie and Jin. The sample was so engrossing that I picked up the book and read the whole thing. 4.25/5

Where Sleeping Girls Lie by Faridah Abike-Iyimide
Chilling and dark. This author knows how to write a good thriller set in academia, with dark secrets around every corner. I want to know more about Sade and her haunted past. I picked it up the day of publication and am hooked.

Honorable mentions: I’m interested because of the premise, writing, or characters, so I will take a look and see how they are:

The Last Bloodcarver by Vanessa Le: Intriguing hook, Vietnamese fantasy.
Dear Wendy by Ann Zhao: Funny and endearing romance about fake advice.
Song of the Six Realms by July I. Lin: East-Asian fantasy with an exciting, romantic premise.

Thank you for the sampler!

Screaming, because this winter was fire when it came to YA fierce reads. I loved ALL of these, and usually I have one or two I'm not in love with when I read these samplers, but these were all great. I am especially looking forward to Lundy's book.

Thank you for the digital sampler!

Wow! All of these authors were so talented, and I honestly fell in love with these teasers.
A Tempest of Tea was my favorite, and I can't wait to check out the book from my library! I was not sure I would like to read a sampler, since when I get into a book, I go full-on obsessed, but this really showed me some authors I can't wait to read more into (Marissa Meyer, I'm looking at you!)
Thank you, NetGalley, for providing me with these incredible samplers, and for introducing me to some people I hope will become my favorite authors!

Thanks for NetGalley for providing access to this sampler! Something like this — a teaser for several books — would fit perfectly for First Chapter Fridays with my high school students to introduce them to new texts. I'm excited to read several of these titles in their entirety. I've already purchased With A Little Luck, and I look forward to getting Most Ardently and A Tempest of Tea soon (and perhaps others).

Thanks to NetGalley for allowing me to read these short samples of various books before they are released. There were some titles that I cannot wait to read more of, I am looking forward to purchasing some of these books so i can fully binge read it in hopefully one sitting!

Thank you for allowing me the advanced readers copy of this novel! I really enjoy reading these little excerpts of books that are going to be released soon. I definitely found a few that I can honestly say that I have added to my TBR pile, and I can't wait to read the whole novel when they are released!

I'm always a big fan of these samplers, and this one was absolutely fantastic! Fierce has such excellent YA titles. The YA genre has become so good and some of these titles, I am just dying to read. I especially look forward to the books by Faridah Àbíké-Íyímídé and Ciera Burch.

Thank you NetGalley and the publisher for providing this ARC. All thoughts are my own.

I really enjoyed this edition of Buzz Books 2024! I am particularly looking forward to Ali Condie’s The Unwedding so that sneak peek was fantastic. In general, my favorite section was YA. This was my first time hearing about The Girl With No Reflection and It Waits in the Forest. I’m now looking forward to reading them both! In the adult section, I was interested to read Docile, Bound to the Shadow Prince, and The Return of Ellie Black. Thank you to all the authors, publishers, and Netgalley for a free ARC in exchange for honest feedback!

An excellent look at upcoming books for early 2024. Left me wanting more of each. A great blend of genres and both debut and beloved authors. I immediately put all of these on my TBR and can't wait for them to come out!

This is a collection of excerpts of recent releases that did help to peak my interest in some of these that I had not heard of before.

MOST ARDENTLY by Gabe Cole Novoa
- I LOVED Most Ardently! I’m in the fortunate situation that I knew more about this book than just the sample since I’ve actually read it, and my goodness was this just a beautiful and amazingly written novel! 10/10 would recommend!

JUST SAY YES by Goldy Moldavsky
- This seems like so much fun! It’s my first introduction to the book and the author, so I can’t say too much more about it, but I’m definitely adding this to my TBR to read the full story!

WITH A LITTLE LUCK by Marissa Meyer
- LOVE Marissa Meyer. Period. I’ve already read and reviewed this one, though, so nothing new here!

A TEMPEST OF TEA by Hafsah Faizal
- Highly anticipated, beautiful sounding story. I’m really excited for this one and can’t wait to actually read the whole thing!

DAUGHTER OF THE BONE FOREST by Jasmine Skye
- Eh, I’m just not sure if this one is for me. I couldn’t really get into it and I wasn’t that interested in the plot to begin with.

WHERE SLEEPING GIRLS LIE by Faridah Àbíké-Íyímídé
- I’ve had this on my TBR, but honestly I don’t know if I’m actually going to sit down with it. Thriller/horror/mystery aren’t typically my thing and I also had a tough time getting interested in this one.

THE LAST BLOODCARVER by Vanessa Le
- Haha, I was interested solely based on the comparison to Cinder. Hopefully it pans out! This is such an interesting story idea and I hope the writing really brings it to life. So far, I feel like it’s very promising!

SOMETHING KINDRED by Ciera Burch
- This story in general just wasn’t for me from the start and I didn’t really get pulled in at all while reading the sample.

THE ONE THAT GOT AWAY WITH MURDER by Trish Lundy
- Honestly, the title alone kind of turned me away from this one. But, I do have to admit that I’m actually kind of intrigued by this premise. I might just stick it out and read The One that Got Away with Murder — though admittedly I’m more interested in the story behind the brothers than the main character so far.

THIS IS ME TRYING by Racquel Marie
- My goodness, this story is gonna have me in tears.

DEAR WENDY by Ann Zhao
- I love stories that have this trope of knowing each other and connecting in one vein where they’re also rivals or enemies in another. I can see myself just diving into and loving Dear Wendy SO much.

SONG OF THE SIX REALMS by Judy I. Lin
- I think this is something I would have adored as a teenager, but probably isn’t as much in my realm of loves as an adult. It’s not that I think it’s bad or anything, but rather that my interests have changed over the years. I will, however, definitely keep this in mind for future student recommendations!

I loved this. A digital sampler gives a reader just enough of a taste to pick out what books they would like to read. I for one, am a big mystery/thriller/fiction lover, so I was able to pick and choose several books to read the first few chapters of.

The books I picked out where The One That Got Away with Murder, Where Sleeping Girls Lie and Something Kindred. All of which I now really want to and plan to read the entire books off.

Digital Samplers are a great idea to generate reader interest for future book purchases. I loved being able to sample some of the books coming out this year!

Thanks to The Teens & YA division of Macmillan Children's Publishing Group for a great taste of future reading!
