This was a really good book. The illustrations were well done, and the information provided gives a lot of insight into the nations that are discussed in the Bible. A good one to read through with kids, and also to pair with Bible reading.

The Bible Atlas: A Pictorial Guide to the Holy Lands by DK in an informative introductory book of the Holy Lands for all ages. I like how the brief overview was easy to understand and brought out basic Biblical history. I think The Bible Atlas: A Pictorial Guide to the Holy Lands would be a great resource for those working in Ministry and Christian Education settings. I highly recommend it! Thank you to NetGalley and Publisher for the opportunity to read this book. My review is also on Goodreads.

Good update and the photos looks great on a kindle. I was hoping there would be a page dedicated to women of the Bible? Or more focus given to women, but as a general Bible Atlas this works well.

Loved this! It was such a helpful resource. I immediately went to Amazon to purchase it so that I can always have it and see the pages with more detail than on my iPhone. I can’t wait to share this with my children.

What a great resource! I know this is technically a kid’s Bible Atlas but I used it for myself and teens too. I loved following the biblical figures through their journeys and seeing them mapped out. I wish I could print some of these pages and put them in the back of my Bible (like some older Bibles have). Highly recommend.

The Bible Atlas is another home run from DK books! This atlas is everything I'd want for my kids and myself as an aid in studying the Bible. It's full of useful information and incredible graphics, illustrations, photographs, and of course, maps! Seeing the geographical locations of many common (and some not-so-common) stories from the Bible truly help bring the Bible to life and bring an overall better understanding of the Holy Lands and surrounding areas.

A huge thank you NetGalley andDK Publishing for this eARC copy in exchange for my honest review.

Awesome Resource

So often, when I read the Bible, I have some difficulties visualizing the areas mentioned because I only have current maps and such to help me figure out the areas and their connections to events. The Bible Atlas does a fantastic job of showing the areas and providing information that helps understand events from the Old Testament, the New Testament, and beyond. It is an awesome resource that provides so much information that will enhance your study of the Bible.

Thank you to NetGalley for providing me with a copy of this book. All comments and opinions are voluntary and completely my own.

I will recommend this book for patrons who are interested in biblical history and geography. The atlas did a beautiful job laying out biblical stories and holy cities with illustrations and narratives, then pairing these with photographs of the actual site.

Readers will enjoy the beautiful visuals and the familiar stories are approachable for the youngest readers.

We are years removed from the events recorded in the Bible. It can be hard to connect what we read with the areas involved. The Bible Atlas works to help bridge that gap. It is filled with colorful pictures and illustrations that allow readers to see what the Bible passages are talking about. Maps are included to show where everything happened and the travels of people from one place to another.

It is aimed at older children, but I think adults can find it just as useful. It would be a good book for families and teachers to use. Everything is clear and easy to understand. The information makes it simpler to see where the Bible took place.

I received a free ARC of the book from the publisher through NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

This atlas provides maps, paintings, photographs, and illustrations following stories from the Old and New Testaments of the Bible in addition to some wider historical facts. The stories are presented as short summaries that are still quite thorough. The A-Z of Bible places is incredibly helpful. This is for anyone interested in the geography of the Bible, and especially for youth groups and kids in confirmation class.

Thank you NetGalley and DK Publishing for this advanced copy. All opinions are my own.

This book may have been created for young readers, I think it is suitable for people of all ages. When I read the Bible, I constantly am googling locations or maps. The Bible Atlas was very informative and completely accessible for young learners. There were lots of pictures on every page that kept the text engaging. There were illustrations, classic works of art, and HD photographs of archaeological sites.
The maps showed journeys and highlighted various Bible accounts from locations along the way. This atlas gave in-depth perspective to the Biblical text.
The photographs of ancient sites that have been found in recent years were exciting, and really helped me feel connected to the ancient stories.
I would recommend to is book to families studying the Bible with children as well as Christian home school families who want to teach ancient history from a Biblical perspective.

The Bible Atlas has a brilliant and beautifully intuitive, chronological layout. Its pages contain so much more than simply maps. The illustrations are very well done, mixed with photography and artifacts, as well as digestible versions of the stories associated with the various locations across the Middle East. Most unexpected, but also most interesting to me, were some of the illustrations of the buildings such as the Temple of Solomon, depicted with the interior and exterior as well as accompanying photographs of the remaining ruins. This is a very well-done informational text that supplements the biblical stories well for any age.
