A thriller that kept me guessing until the end! Jessica is moving across country with her husband and her baby...or so she thinks she is. Until she gets there and finds that not everything is as it seems.

Gripping and engaging read and highly recommended.

Many thanks to NetGalley, Sterling & Stone, and the great writing team of Nolan King and Lauren Street for the opportunity to enjoy this exciting and suspenseful book that I devoured in a single day. I was really able to feel the frustration and confusion of main character Jessica Clarke and was very eager to discover how this story was going to play out. A lot of times I can guess the surprise plot twist at the end but this one had me guessing right up until the book's climax. I'd love to read more books from Nolan King and Lauren Street.

Replaced is my first read by these two authors and I found it to be compulsively addictive read. So cleverly written, this story explores themes around identity, deception, stuff addition and mental illness. An original plot with compelling characters and some crazy twists and turns, I was immediately drawn in and couldn’t put it down. The structure allowed for a slow suspenseful burn. I was a little bit disappointed with the reveal, but you just gobsmacked with that ending. Well played!!!

I look forward to reading more from these authors!

A hearty thank you to authors Lauren Street and Nolan King, NetGalley and Sterling and Stone Publishing for the opportunity to read an advance digital copy of this story. This is my honest review and the opinions expressed are my own.

From the very first page, this thriller captured my attention. While the suspense was moderate, the plot unfolded in an intriguing manner, turning me into an armchair detective as I tried to decipher the identity behind Jessica's replacement. I found myself yearning for heightened thrills and suspense throughout the journey to intensify the tension. Additionally, I felt that diving deeper into character development would have enriched the narrative. Despite these aspects, the book proved to be a quick and engrossing read, offering a fresh perspective on identity deception. To enhance future works, I suggest immersing deeper into the suspenseful atmosphere and providing more depth to secondary characters. Nevertheless, I was thoroughly impressed by the story's ingenuity.

Major thanks to Sterling & Stone and NetGalley for giving me the opportunity to read and review this book.

I really enjoyed the psychological thriller element of this book, it had everything that I was hoping for in this type of book. The characters were everything that I was hoping for in the genre. Nolon King & Lauren Street has a great writing style and it had what I was hoping for and thought the use of imposter worked well.

I recently had the pleasure of reading "Replaced" by Nolon King & Lauren Street, and I must say, it was quite a thrilling ride. From the moment I delved into the story, I was immediately captivated by the mysterious and suspenseful plot. The concept of someone stealing Jessica Clarke's life and the unsettling realization that her husband doesn't recognize her was both intriguing and chilling.
While the suspense in the story was moderate, I found myself eagerly trying to piece together the puzzle and discover who had taken over Jessica's identity. The twists and turns throughout the book kept me hooked, and I was on the edge of my seat as the story unfolded. The back and forth between the two Jessicas added an extra layer of tension and intrigue, making for a gripping read.
One aspect I would have liked to see more of is a deeper exploration of the secondary characters and a more atmospheric buildup of suspense. However, the book was a quick and engaging read that left me wanting more. The authors did a fantastic job of crafting a unique and unsettling story that kept me guessing until the very end.
Overall, "Replaced" is a thrilling and entertaining book with a great concept and well-executed twists. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a fast-paced read with a captivating storyline.

I was intrigued by the premise of this book and the writing was good enough to hold my interest.

Jessica Clarke has the perfect life with husband David. And now that David has a new job, and they've bought a new house, things are even better. What makes their life even more perfect is that they've just adopted a baby girl. All of one week, she's their joy, and they've named her Gwen.

Jessica, afraid of flying, drives a U-haul with her belongings from New York to Dallas. David has already flown to their new home with Gwen. Tired and exhausted, Jessica reaches the house only to find that the keys that David has given her don't work. What's worse, there's another woman, a lookalike of hers, in the house, and she's claiming to be Jessica Clarke, David’s wife, who is bonding with her baby, who she calls Bella. The worst thing is that David claims he doesn’t know her, that he has never seen her before.

Now David and the other woman have called in the police and Jessica is hauled in. How will she ever get her home and baby back?

The story is written in the 3rd person PoV of both Jessicas in alternate chapters. In order to ensure clarity for us readers, the authors refer to the first woman as Jessica, and the second as Jess.

It’s not hard to figure out the plot, but to the credit of the authors, they make us feel invested in spite of that. The action just doesn’t let up.

The only problem lies in their description of Baby Gwen/Bella. The authors clearly don’t know anything about babies. Earlier on, Jessica things she hears the week-old baby chuckling. When the baby is still just a week old, she is shown to sleep calmly through the night for many hours straight. In Chapter 44, the baby is still less than a month old, and yet she plays with blocks and stuffed animals while still an infant. Any parent will tell you that playing with blocks is not a newborn’s thing. The baby claps too. Either it’s an issue that will get corrected or the authors have no idea what babies can or cannot do.

Other than this, it was a fun read.

Imagine living a perfect life with all of your dreams coming true... marrying a supportive man, becoming a mother through adoption and being able to stay at home with your new baby... then your dreams are shattered one night when a women who looks exactly like you shows up on your front porch claiming to be you, being married to the exact same man and being the mother to your newborn child! Crazy right? What an interesting situation to happen to you and how do you even begin to solve it?

Jess and David were living a good life together in Texas. They had been married for 3 years, tried to have a baby with no success and decided to adopt. Now they have a newborn baby to care for. One night another woman shows up late at night on their front porch claiming to be Jessica (aka Amber) as well and is supposed to move in to this house today to be with her husband David and their newborn baby. (WHAT?!) After police involvement, Jessica leaves and so begins a thriller and mystery to solve why these 2 different lives have intertwined. We have stalking, shady motels, delightful strangers, a hitman and maybe even something else more deadly.

This is a fast p[aced thriller. Don't let the amount of chapters fool you. Each chapter is short and leaves you ready to move on to the next one! I will say play attention to your timelines and keep track of your names. Because you have 2 characters that look the same and have nearly the exact same story, it can be a little confusing at times to keep up with them. You ever get lost. You may just have a few moments where it takes a few seconds to realize which character you're reading about. The ending may be a little predictable, but I still enjoyed it! I've read other series from Nolan King and enjoyed those as well. This was a first read for me involving Lauren Street, so I may look into her work next!

Thank you NetGalley, Nolon King and Lauren Street for sending me this ARC!

This book kept me on my toes from the first page. I could not put it down and I want more! If you love Freida McFadden or Verity you’ll love this book! The characters felt so real and it was such a crazy, convoluted story that kept me wanting to cancel plans just to stay in and finish it. I can’t wait to see what more these authors put out.

This book was so good. From the first chapter it hooks you and up until the last few chapters you have no idea how it’s going to end and all tie together. I couldn’t put it down

Thank you to @NetGalley and Sterling and Stone Publishing for my free copy of “Replaced” for my honest review.

I LOVED this suspenseful, TWISTY, thrilling read! I could not put it down until I read the last page! It was a fast read too!

Jessica Clarke is on her way to meet her newly adopted baby girl and husband at their new home in Dallas, Texas all the way from NYC. All that she owns is stuffed in a u-haul as she navigates the lonely highways. She arrives at her new home where she discovers that she has been replaced by a new Jessica Clarke (Jess), her very own doppelgänger and her husband denies knowing who the hell she is!

Frustrated, confused and outright flabbergasted, Jessica tries to push her way into the home and their lives, where she is met by the police and danger. No ID, her personal belongings somehow stolen and everyone calling her Amber, which she claims was her name before she married 3 years ago.

Jessica goes on a mission to discover why her husband is denying her and who the other Jessica Clarke really is.

So many TWISTS and an amazing, very surprising ending! This book keeps you gripping the edge of your seat! HIGHLY RECOMMEND to ALL thriller lovers!!

Jessica is driving the U Haul from New York to Texas to join her husband David and their newly adopted baby Gwen in their new home. When she arrives, there is another woman there. David claims to have never known Jessica, and the baby in the house is NOT hers! What is a woman to do when the man she loves replaces her! In the gripping thriller, the answer is not what you may think!

This thriller got me hooked right from the first page. Though the suspense was moderate, the plot developed interestingly and I even became an armchair detective, trying to guess who had taken over the role of Jessica. I feel that there should have been more thrills and suspense during the journey to build up the tension. Further, I would have wished for the character-building to have gone a little bit deeper. However, the book was an easy and fast read with an interesting angle of a girl trying to be somebody else. In terms of improvement, I would recommend penetrating deeper into the atmosphere of suspense and elaborating more on the secondary characters. Nevertheless, I was impressed by the story.

Thank you to Sterling & Stone and NetGalley for allowing me to read and review this book.

Jessica finally has the perfect life a newly adopted baby a perfect husband and begins the trek from NYC to Dallas Texas . When she gets to her new house the key doesn’t work her husband doesn’t know her and there’s a woman who looks just like her in her house.. what are the odds they’re are 2 Jessica Clark’es? In a race to get her life back and her baby. Definitely a different kind of read that I really enjoyed the suspense of knowing who was crazier.

What an excellent read! You are driving across the country to relocate with your husband and Newley adopted child. Everything is going smoothly until you arrive at your new home. Your husband and child are inside waiting for you … except when you go to put your key in the lock, it doesn’t fit. You knock on the door, and a woman opens it, and she looks a lot like you, but obviously it isn’t you. Then you husband come up behind her and asks you what is going on (it’s late at night and you’ve woken their baby), but he says he doesn’t know you. You laugh and try to go inside to comfort your crying child, but they won’t let you in, worse then that the call the cops! You start questioning who that woman is in your new house with your husband and child, and why does he say he doesn’t know you? Why are the police saying your husband has always lived here? What is going on?
4 stars because i felt the story dragged on a bit in the middle and it got confusing with the Jess/Jessica, I didn’t always know who was speaking. Overall a great story with enough mystery and twists to keep me up reading past my beadtime.

Replaced follows the story of Jessica, who is moving across the country to be with her husband and new baby. The trip from New York to Texas was long and hard but Jessica knows when she arrives it will be worth it! Except when Jessica arrives late at night to the address given by her husband, another woman who looks an awful lot like her answers the door. Standing behind her, is her husband who claims to now know her at all.

This was a pretty good story. The concept is really good and there was a lot of suspenseful moments. The twists were great, especially near the end. I really liked the back and forth between the women. The only thing I found a little confusing, and yes I fully see why it is this way, is the fact they are both named Jess/Jessica. Once the story moves along a bit it is easier to differentiate between the two, but at the start it was a bit confusing. There were a few :what the heck is happening' moments when the husband was insisting that he didn't know the woman at his door. It was pretty jaw dropping at times.

I would recommend this book for a quick read with a few great twists. The pace at which the story moves is really good. I really enjoyed it and would like to read more from these authors.

Thank you to NetGalley, the publisher and authors for the chance to read this for free. This was my honest review.

I thought the plot of the book was good but it is hard for me to read in 3rd POV. I prefer to read in 1st POV.

I enjoyed this psychological thriller, although it’s the kind of story I normally wouldn’t read… I’m glad that I did as it’s a great page turner, that I couldn’t put down. I read it all in one day, it has plenty of twists and turns throughout with a surprising ending. The characters were intriguing, the story itself was so good and full of suspense and the style of writing was perfect.
This is the first book that I have read by either of these authors, I’ll be keeping my eye out for more in the future. I would highly recommend this book to anyone who likes to read this genre.
Thank you netgalley and the publisher for the opportunity to read this book in exchange for a honest review.
