Soraya excels at engaging her readers with relatable characters, making you feel like party of the family the characters are seeking. Reading with teary eyes can be quite challenging!

The Sapphires Daughter is the fourth book in The Lost Daughters Series. A dual time line had me captivated, following the two beautiful love stories. Soraya Lane does an impeccable job to intertwining all the books together. Soroya also has a wonderful way of sweeping you into the places she writes about, in this case Lake Geneva. A gripping, well written novel about self-discovery, love and loss I can’t wait to read the next book in the series. I highly recommended series. 5 stars

I didn’t realize this book was part of a series. It reads fine as a standalone, but now I’d like to get to know the other characters and see how their stories connect.

The story unfolds in two timelines. In 1951, Lake Geneva, Switzerland, Delphine is trapped in a loveless marriage. When she meets Florian, love grows, but a public relationship seems impossible. Love will find a way, though. Sadly, before that happens, tragedy strikes, and the only tangible proof of their love is the child Delphine carries – a child she cannot keep.

In modern-day London, Georgia is a successful businesswoman. She receives a summons to a law office, where she is given a small box that was found at a place called Hope’s House. What’s the connection between her family and a home for unwed mothers? The mystery deepens when Georgia opens the box to find a valuable pink sapphire, one that’s been missing for years from a tiara formerly owned by the Italian royal family. Her efforts to learn the stone’s history lead her to Switzerland and to Luca, the man whose family has been in possession of the tiara for decades.

I love a good dual-timeline story! Delphine’s story was beautiful but tragic. Georgia’s story offered the possibility of hope, something good to come from the pain of the past. Soraya Lane’s writing style just pulled me into the pages, and if I didn’t want to visit Switzerland before, I certainly do now!

At its heart, this is a story about love. The love between a man and a woman. The love a mother has for her children, choosing to preserve the life her existing children know and choosing to give her unborn child a chance at a better, happier life. I was adopted as an infant, and I’ve met both sides of my birth family. My heart ached for the choice Delphine was compelled to make, even knowing she was doing the best she knew to do under difficult circumstances and making that decision out of love for all her children. And I loved the discovery Georgia made about her family. Sometimes family secrets can bring happy surprises!

This may have been the first of Soraya Lane’s books that I read, but it won’t be the last. Highly recommended if you enjoy a dual-timeline story, an engaging mystery, family found, and sweet romance.

I've really enjoyed this series so far!
The starting chapters centre around the same premise, following a different protagonist who gets called to a meeting with a solicitor regarding an item left for her in Hope's House, a home for unmarried mothers who have their babies adopted. This opening scene threw me slightly, as it reminded me of very similar wording in another book in the series, The Cuban Daughter. Then it struck me. All the other women in the waiting room of the solicitors' office were other protaganists in the series! And I LOVED that. I thought it a truly wonderful touch. Although, slightly amused it's taken this long to realise!
The item, a pink sapphire, gets valued and it turns out it's part of Italian history, so she jets off to Lake Geneva to track down her heritage.
I adored this story, it had me hooked and I raced through this book. I love dual timeline novels, and this series has been fabulous, but I think this one is my favourite one so far.

This touching story unfolds between the past and present telling of a heartbreaking love in the past and the hope for a new one in the present. I fell in love with this one, embracing Delphine & her heartache with a life she couldn’t choose.

This is an incredible time slip historical novel.
Busy, modern woman Georgia has been summoned to receive a package that has come from Hope's House, a home for unwed mothers. Upon opening it she finds a stunning pink sapphire. She knows she must discover how this connects to her family and the significance of this gem.
I enjoyed being swept away by the author to exotic locations as Georgina travels to Lake Geneva to discover how the pink sapphire came to be in her family's possession. I was very intrigued as I read, the book held me captivated as I read, to find out the gem was part of a priceless tiara owned by the Italian royal family. What connection could her family possibly have to it?
An escapist read I simply couldn't put down, the backstory with its romantic forbidden love story. It's so emotional, one decision takes a second to make but the consequences will last a lifetime. I so wanted the outcome to be different. I am captivated every time I read a book by the author. I highly recommend this must-read book.

When she returns to pick it up, she finds out that it is very valuable and not only that but it also was part of a priceless tiara owned by the Italian royal family. Discovering this information takes Georgia to Lake Geneva. She must find out everything she possibly can about the beautiful gem she holds in her hand. When she arrives at Lakeside City, she meets Luca. Luca tells here that he has been searching for that missing sapphire for many years. They become the perfect team in uncovering the mystery of how the pink sapphire ended up at Hope’s House, a home in London for unwed mothers.

The Sapphire Daughter written by author Soraya Lane is an absolutely wonderful and engaging read. This story filled with mystery, intrigue and plot twists and turns makes it unputdownable. This author had me flying through the pages waiting to see what was going to happen next. The author describes Lake Geneva in a beautiful way. I could see the sun dance on the ripples in the lake. I could feel the breeze from the lake on my cheek. I loved the character of Georgia and the relationship that developed between she and Luca was lovely. This is the fourth book of The Lost Daughters Series. What an amazing series this has been. Each book is wonderful and satisfying read. I have loved each installment, don’t pass up this amazing series. It is definitely a must read.

Solid And Interesting Series Continuation. This is one of the more interesting entries in this loosely coupled series (that can mostly be read as standalone, but characters from prior books are showing up with more frequency in each book along with at least some spoilers about their own stories) in that unlike so many romance novels out there - even within this series - our lead female here truly doesn't actually need *anything* from the man who is about to rock her world. There is zero discussion of kids in this particular romance (yay for the child free! :D), so even that motivation for "needing a man" isn't actually in the text at hand. Her job in particular is rare enough to be intriguing, even as someone who has some knowledge of that field.

Instead, this tale yet again combines both of Lane's contemporary romance and historical fiction worlds (and yes, as such has a dual timeline), though the emphasis in this particular tale does lean more towards the contemporary romance rather than the historical one.

One of the more intriguing bits here is the continued foreshadowing of the tale that started the entire series - will Lane wait to *end* the series with that particular tale as well, or will we get it at some point in between? For now, only Lane knows. For the rest of us, it will be interesting seeing just where Lane takes this series next.

Very much recommended.

The Sapphire Daughter is a wonderful addition to the Lost Daughters Series by Soraya Lane. As with the other books in the series there is a dual timeline. The author writes this in a way so to enhance the enjoyment of the story without it being a distraction or causing confusion.

Two loves, one turned tragic and one that gives peace and a sense of finding home will leave you charmed and fascinated just as the other stories in the series have done. This is pure escapism reading where there is new life, hope and love at the end of the journey.

Georgia receives a beautiful pink sapphire and a news article written in Italian, a language she does not speak. She is in the middle of selling her company and sets it aside. After the sale she decides to find the sapphire’s story and her family history. What she finds is an incredible journey not only about her family but about herself. The story is told in dual timeline so the woman who gifted the sapphire tells her story as well. This is a wonderful addition to the series. If you enjoy emotional books about women finding themselves and becoming who they want to be you will love not only this book, but the entire series.

A beautifully written story that had me feeling like I was right there with the characters as their lives went through a roller coaster of emotions.
Family, heritage, love, loss, mysterious box, secrets, and tragedy kept me captivated and turning the pages wanting to know what happened next.

I love this series because Lane does such a good job of setting each recipient apart, but intersecting their lives.
Oh, and there’s a hunka hunka Luca, sigh!
I loved how besotted he was with Georgia.
Delphine’s story was sad. To lose so much was tragic but she did leave gems as clues.
Find out what Hope House meant to each descendant in the series. I’ll be drooling over Luca.

I loved The Sapphire Daughter, it is perfect for fans of Lucinda Riley. I loved how Georgia investigates the secret jewel finding out where it came from. The duel timeline of Delphine's story brought the research to life and the 2 love stories were very emotional to read about. I loved the trips to Geneva it sounds such a beautiful place.

I was hooked from the start and could not wait to find out what would happen next. Whilst this is book 4 in the Lost Daughters series I have not read any of the other books was able to understand everything in this book. I am going to go and read books 1-3 now

Oh my goodness! I have been in a reading slump and Soraya Lane just reminded me why I love to read. Her new book The Sapphire Daughter is being released on March 8th and is the fourth book in The Lost Daughters Series that she is writing. This is the third one that I have read. I am still terribly far behind and need to go back and read The Italian Daughter. All of these books are fabulous and they are the books that make you have a satisfied sigh when you close the cover.

All of the books take place in two different time periods. The backstory goes back to at least the 50’s and I think some of them are earlier and some later. There was a home for unwed mothers called Hope’s House. I was run by a woman named Hope. All of the stories in this series are about the children that were born at Hope’s House. I think that Hope was an outstanding woman of her time. One of those people we would all love to have in our lives. The characters that I have come to know and love in these books are all people that draw you into the story. Soraya Lane has a true knack of character development. I have not read one book by her that I didn’t like. She is the reason I love Historical Fiction so well.

Speaking of Historical Fiction, these books fall under 20th Century Historical Fiction. That is right up my alley! I get a little romance, some history and there is a mystery also in these books that the genre doesn’t mention. Of course, I love following the story and seeing how the mystery unfolds and is solved. I just couldn’t ask for anything more in a great book and maybe that is why I love this series so much. I couldn’t wait to sit down and write to you about this book.

I have read the other books in the The Hope series and looked forward to this one.

And I think the series has improved as its gone along - whilst bringing in the story of Hope herself.

This one centred round a pink sapphire, a tiara belong to the Italian Royal Family and Geneva.

It is again a dual timeline story which seemed to fit together more cohesively than in the previous books.

Again this is a much lighter read from Soraya M Lane and suits the genre of the books she is intending to produce.

It seems that not only do the boxes from Hope House hold the stories together but also a love story between the contemporary character and someone aligned to the object in their particular box.

All in all a great read and I look forward to #5 in the series.

This time, the contents of the box is worth a lot. But is it worth more than family? Not even blood family but those who choose you.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I found it hard to put down, as well as feeling sad whilst reading the story in both the past and present timelines.

It was well written, you feel like you’re in between the pages of the book with the characters. With so much happening, mystery, loss and love. You want to continue reading to find out what happens next.

This book took my breath away. It had me wishing for things to happen. Crying my eyes out in parts. Holding my breath in other parts. A love that couldn't be. A love that was. A love that will be. Lives forever changed. It all starts after a stay at Hope's House. Hope's House is a home for expectant mothers. A place where they can feel safe.

Told in two timelines and about two women who never met but are related. This is a rich and loving story with some very sad things happening too. But it's all for the sake of love. A true, deep, forever, love...
