There was a lot going on in this book but I wasn't as gripped as I wanted to be.
It's a good read though with plenty of action

Who doesn't love to start a new series?! Twins Lily and Daisy couldn't be more different, one is quiet and the other is simply the opposite but friends they are not! Working their father's club, Daisy's head is turned by the manage, which spells trouble for one of the girls but which one? Pick up the book and find out for yourself.
A great storyline, page turning and another book to come! I can't wait to find out what is next for the twins.

Double Trouble by Stephanie Harte is a new gritty gangland series that was brilliant. Like all Stephanie's books they have always been a page turner and this one was no different. Its full of twists and turns that have you hooked from beginning and to the end!

Daisy and Lily Kennedy are identical twins and have different personalities. They are a singing duet and their life is about to change dramatically, when they get a gig at live night/music club called Eden, which is run by renowned Samson Fox along with manager Mackenzie. This club is hard to get a music gig in and once you are in you're in! Little did they both know they also found themselves in the middle of a drugs ring and it is currently experiencing some hard times. But, how much danger they are both in? especially Lily as she mysteriously disappears!

WoW Then, Bang it Ended! Nooooo I want more! Noooooo It can't end like that!!!

Excellent! and I highly recommend this book. Looking forward for the next book in this brilliant new series.........

I really enjoyed this book! The twins were interesting characters and hope to read more about them. Definitely more to the sad - why he behaves as he does.

I don't think I've ever read any gangland-related books told from first person perspective, so I found this interesting.

The story is told from several characters' points of view. Daisy and Lily's perspective - a pair of identical twins who have been pitted against each other by their parents their entire lives, McKenzie - a man
involved in the gangland dealings, but getting out of his depth in the club that the twins have recently started working at, and a few chapters from the twin's father's perspective.

The story is a slow-burn plot and written well and the ending is paced for the next book in the series to pick up.

A good read.

Personally this book wasn't as "gritty" as I expected. Pages of long descriptive text which I felt could have been expressed in much shorter terms. Story line was OK but again, felt the story took too long to come to fruition!
Only my thoughts and sure others will think differently.

This is the first book I have read by Stephanie Harte and it won’t be the last. I really enjoyed this book and being introduced to Daisy and Lily.

Daisy and Lily Kennedy are identical twins. They are singers and are managed by their father Des. Des was in a band when he was younger but they didn’t make it so he is desperate for the girls to be a success. He drives them hard and takes the majority of their earnings. Daisy and Des constantly clash and Lily always tries to keep the peace.

The girls get a regular gig in a club called Eden and Daisy is very interested in Mackenzie the club manager. Daisy has no idea that Mackenzie and the owner Samson are involved in shipping and dealing drugs and that they are dangerous men. The girls end up being involved in stuff they never imagined and things become dangerous. I can’t wait to read the next instalment in Daisy and Lily’s lives.

Oh My Goodness the beginning of this book blew me away.

The two main characters are twins Lily and Daisy. Kennedy. Being identical is the only thing they have in common. Lily loves to sing and be in the limelight Daisy rebels.
It was a great story but if you were expecting fireworks it unfortunately fizzled out.
I wouldn't say it was gangland-related, but it has its moments x

I am a big fan of Stephanie Hart and was happy to review her first book in a new series about twin girls lily and Daisy.

These girls are identical in looks but completely different in personality.

They are forced by there father to work in clubs, good book, not as gritty as I have come to expect reading this genre, but that could be me being an avid reader of gangland.

On saying that, I want to read book two, as I want to know what happens next

A exciting start to a new Gangland thriller series. The Kennedy twins Daisy and Lily are thrown into a seedy club by their controlling father Des who hopes they will fulfill his dreams of hitting the big time. Something he failed himself but Daisy the wild child gets herself into some deep trouble and when Lily is kidnapped, Daisy is the one who needs to save her. The beginning of the book starts with a bang and continues to hold my attention. I was a little bit disappointed that it was not as violent and blood shed that I have come to expect from gangland thrillers but the mystery and my like of the twins kept me eagerly flying through. I really enjoyed the plot despite the lack of violence which I am hoping there will be a little more of in the next book. The suspense was and still is taunting me. It ends on a spectacular cliffhanger to be continued in the next book.

Lily and Daisy are identical twins and sing at Eden’s nightclub that’s managed by MacKenzie. Daisy feels an immediate attraction for MacKenzie who comes across as a bad boy. There’s no love lost between the twins as Lily is a people-pleaser and her parents’ favourite whereas Daisy is stubborn and brings out the worst in their controlling father Des, but when three men kidnap Lily she’s determined to put grievances aside and get her back.

‘Double Trouble’ is the first in a new series introducing Lily and her younger identical twin Daisy who seems to court trouble wherever she is. As gangland thrillers go, it comes across as fairly predictable with none of the excitement normally found in books by Ms Harte, but I’ve found it enjoyable to read and it sets the scene perfectly for this new series. The story concludes with an exciting cliffhanger and I’m very much looking forward to seeing how the characters develop in the next book.

this was a really interesting concept for the twins element. The characters were everything that I was hoping for the overall concept was wonderfully done and enjoyed going on this adventure with them. Stephanie Harte has a great writing style and the characters felt like they were supposed to be in this universe.

I can’t remember the last twins thriller I read! This one has such an interesting premise. I really enjoyed it.

I am a fan of Stephanie Harte’s previous novels, so I was excited to receive Double trouble the first book in the new series about twins Lily and Daisy.
Lily and Daisy are identical twins but that’s where the similarities end. Lily is the reserved one and Daisy is the loud extrovert that always gets into trouble. Their father is always pushing them to get further into the music world, as he failed in his younger days. Both girls are beautiful singers. And will have a future but they are also blighted by their father as some of their earnings go towards the debt that their father owes.
The girls get a job at the Eden club singing and straightway Daisy is smitten with the clubs Manager Mackenzie. But Mackenzie is not all that he seems. He has a side Hussle which involves drug trafficking that gets not only him in trouble but one of the twins gets kidnapped because of him but he also disappears. Where is Mackenzie and what has he done with Lily?
This is good read and a great start to a new series. Not so much action in this storyline as previous but as It is only the first book it will probably develop in the next book. I felt although it tied up some lose ends it did end quite abruptly. 4 stars from me.

Daisy and Lily have been singing at a club for about a month when Lily is kidnapped. Everyone at the club has secrets, and when Daisy goes to the two men who are still on the premises when her twin sister is taken, she realizes they're both likely lying to her about not knowing anything. Daisy might dislike her sister, but she wants to know what happened.

There was a lot of exposition (which made me feel like most of the initial tension was lost) and I had some trouble following as the book jumped around a bit. There were also a lot of contradictions that I got lost in (mainly in, I think, Daisy's internal monologue).
I liked the premise and definitely want to know how things play out, I just ultimately couldn't get into the book.

This was an amazing book. I highly recommend it to everyone. Great characters and a great plot. I will be looking for more books by this author. The book is superbly written. Lots of twists, turns and shocking turns of events. Quickly becoming a go to author for me!!!! If you love to read a book and be shocked by the ending then check out this author for sure. You will love this book and this author

A good read but not as gritty as I was expecting. More of a thriller than a gangland. I enjoyed that the story is told from multiple pov which keeps the book fast paced and engaging.

It was certainly left on a cliff hanger............ there may be more to come, i wonder?. I couldnt wait to read this and i wasnt disappointed.
Identical twins Lily and Daisy have a singing talent and are constantly pushed by their dad Dez, to make money as he owes alot of money and thinks the girls are his get out card......
When they get a job at Edens nightclub as a singing act Lily is overjoyed, Daisy not so much. Their parents have always favourited Lily over Daisy, Daisy rebels...... An instant attractuon between Daisy and club manager Mackenzie could have dire consequences. Like what???
This is gritty, a great storyline, something that kept me hanging on wanting more. I would highlyrecommend. Great Job!!!!!!.
