This book is billed as a totally addictive and heart-pounding psychological thriller and it certainly lived up to that claim. From the first chapter I was completely hooked. The plot unfolded at pace and the short punchy chapters kept me entertained. I read this book in less than a day as I found I couldn’t put it down. I thought I had the perfect marriage. As our three beautiful children sleep soundly in the room next door, I think about our family holidays, our romantic date nights, and the day Rob proposed to me. In the last few months, I haven't complained about his late night meetings, or got jealous about his weekends away. I trusted my husband. But now I'm questioning everything.

This is a story of betrayal and revenge. The characters are well-developed. Rob is a womaniser, but he makes his wife, Jen, believe he is the perfect husband. But now she knows he's not as perfect as he makes out,

This fascinating read held my attention throughout. I loved the author's writing style, and the way the plot developed in this psychological thriller. The pace is fast, and the twists kept coming. Just when you think you know where this story is going, a curveball comes along, and you're off in a different direction, and nothing seems as it was.

This was my first book by this author, and I’ll look for more books by her in the future. I loved the short chapters that kept me wanting to read “just one more” chapter. I never would have guessed the ending. Many twists and turns kept me on my toes the entire time leaving the reader not sure which characters to dislike! Thanks for the ARC!

Wow, I loved this one! An absolute page-turning, outstanding story that you won't be able to put down! When I tell you my jaw dropped, it was like something from a cartoon!

I read this book in less than a day, with about 4 hours of total reading time and I had such a difficult time putting it down. Character development was on point, with twists you won't see coming! I made some guesses as I was reading and while I had a few things right, I was not able to figure everything out, which is one of my favorite things when reading thrillers. I loved the writing style, the short chapters, and the movement of the plot.

The plot explores the trials of marriage, secrets, betrayal, revenge, mistrust, forgiveness, quick-wittedness, and the complexities of having your cake and eating it too. They say the grass isn't always greener on the other side, but what happens when you are so self-absorbed and selfish that your opponent entirely outwits you?

Huge kudos to Ruth Heald for this gripping story, I will definitely be checking out her other books! And a huge thank you to Bookouture for letting me review this book as an arc!

Wow! What an emotional rollercoaster! One minute you're on one side of the fence about a character, the next minute you're on the other side! And this happens for more than one character! There are also many twists and turns. Just when I thought I had it figured out, more twists threw me for a loop! This is a great, fast read!

Oh what a tangled web we weave .... The love triangle is crazy and keeps you on your toes .. definitely a fast read/page turner. The last 60 pages or so you can't tell what will happen!

This was a fast-paced domestic thriller that I couldn’t put down. The characters were well developed and they felt real. Although I could see some of the twists coming, it was well written.
This was a good read for me and I will look for more by this author.
A completely gripping psychological thriller about unthinkable betrayal by those you love the most, perfect for fans of Lisa Jewell, Claire McGowan and The Perfect Marriage by Jeneva Rose.

Oh the scandal! Now this had me hooked. It took a wee bit to get comfortable with all the characters and all the povs but they were all very well written and brought to life. The individual povs certainly gave the characters dimension and humanity. The lies, love, secrets, revenge and more just kept creating the most jaw dropping moments through this book and I loved every second if it! It's well written and just so perfect for summer!!!

This wasn’t as fast paced as I’d hoped, but I still enjoyed it. It does get a bit confusing with the multiple POVs, and found myself having to check was pov I was reading a few times. It had twists I didn’t see coming and that’s why it got a 4. It was addictive and exciting. I would recommend reading this book.

This was a fun read that I finished over a couple of days; it kept me engaged with various elements. I enjoyed the character switching and the time point of view that changed almost every chapter. It made me want to keep reading to find out more about what was happening! The twists were brilliant, and I wasn't expecting them!

This was my first title by this author and I enjoyed it! Solid 3.75.

This one took a little bit to pick up for me, but unexpected twists throughout, and interesting character dynamics, kept me engaged until the end. Every time I thought I had it all figured out, Heald threw another curveball.

My Husband’s Affair explores themes of marriage, betrayal, friendship, love, and revenge. I enjoyed the complexities of each character and getting to learn their secrets and see certain events from their POV. I did find the ending somewhat anticlimactic, but all in all this was a fun read.

With short chapters that pack a punch, I finished this fast-paced thriller in one sitting.

Initially I thought I might DNF my first NetGalley book because the writing didn't seem like it was for me. It had a juvenile or inexperienced feel to it. But then I became so engrossed with the content of the novel that I didn't pay it much more mind. As the novel progressed and as the characters Jen and Amy grew, the writing seemed a little more experienced. Either that, or I had just learned to accept it.

I loved learning all the secrets involving Rob, Jen, Mia, Amy, and Natasha. This gripping story explores themes of friendship, marriage, fraud, crime, abuse, love, betrayal, justice, revenge, and family. Although I found it predictable, it will have you frantically turning pages until the very end. I wil give the author credit for making a predictable story still be fun to watch play out!

Foremost in her mind was her three beautiful children, the luxurious penthouse apartment she shares with her family. He had it all. Why would he want to leave her for another woman?
Things go downhill when she discovers who the woman is. When she finds another message from her husband: “Leave my wife to me. I’ll deal with her” she suddenly fears for her life. Jen will stop at nothing to protect her children and her life, and she devises a plan of her own to deal with her husband.
This book has it all. It’s by far the best thriller I have ever read. Gripping isn’t a good enough word to describe it. I had trouble turning to the next page, I was so afraid of what might happen next. My Husband’s Affair is going to be a huge hit!

This book explores themes of love, marriage, betrayal, and revenge, delving into the complexities of trust, mistrust, and suspicion. It is a gripping and suspenseful read that will keep you hooked until the end. I suggest this book for those who enjoy thrillers for sure!

This domestic thriller dives into marriage, friendship and betrayals. It kept me interested until the very end. And even though I figured out some parts, most of the twists were unpredictable.

The events unfolded slowly but surely. The characters were very complex and well developed, some of their actions were very thought provoking.

This book was great! Jen and Rob are married with three children. Rob is a successful estate agent. So when he comes home one night smelling like perfume, Jen think it’s probably from one of the many clients he meets with. But then Jen sees a text on his phone and accuses him of an affair. This book was fast paced and I couldn’t stop reading it. I wasn’t a fan of Amy until her, Jen and Natasha decided to stick together and be there for each other. I didn’t want the book to end, so many twists! I was shocked by the ending. This was the first book I’ve read by Ruth! I love her writing style and I can’t wait to read more books by her. This was my first novel by Ruth Heald and it did NOT disappoint. I loved her writing style, short chapters, and never-ending twists and turns.

This story is about Jen, a mother of 3 precious children, Rob, her “hard working” husband, and Mia, Rob’s loved obsessed mistress. After some suspicions early on, Jen’s two friends, Natasha and Amy, help play detective with Jen to discover that her husband is indeed having an affair and, of course, denying it and gaslighting her by saying she must just be stressed and overwhelmed with the kids because he would never stray. I had so much sympathy for Jen, she’s at home taking care of the kids, preparing his meals, and making sure the house is immaculate, while her lousy husband is off having a separate life. I wanted her to have her revenge. But with a few red herrings, Jen is suspicious of the wrong girl or is she? I can’t say more because I don’t want to give anything away, but once you learn more about Mia, trust me, you won’t like her either!


You think you've read this story before, but Heald pulls off one twist after another and does it flawlessly. The characters were so well developed and this story had underlying secrets, scandal, affairs, fraud, betrayal, lies, deceit, and murder, weaving into a perfect twisty web. I was hooked from the prologue and it never lost my interest. You MUST grab this when it comes out on April 10, 2024!

This book was full of twists and turns! Every time I thought I had it figured out, I was wrong. I really enjoyed this book!!
