My sincere thanks to Boldwood Books and NetGalley for the opportunity to read Sunny Sundays at Primrose Hall by Jill Steeples. I give my unbiased opinion of it in the following short review.

I did not realize that this book was the fifth book in a series when I started it. While I was able to read it and understand the immediate story being told, I would have enjoyed it more knowing the backstories of some of the recurring characters. For example, one of the main characters named Tom apparently learned he had a younger brother in the previous book and is now working with his brother Jackson at the Primrose Hall. I would have loved to know more about their story because I would have understood their dynamics better. That being said, this was still a nice story about family and friends and how they come together to help one another in tough times. There is a slightly slow burn romance between Tom and Sophie that was cute. Tom's brother Jackson and his fiance Pia also have a significant side story that was also enjoyable even though it was a bit frustrating.

Overall, I liked the story, but I think I need to go back and read at least the book before this one to satisfy my curiosity. I will recommend this book because I loved the characters the author created as well as her writing style. I will encourage readers to begin with earlier books in the series.

Jill Steeples has a wonderful talent for writing stories that draw me in and make my heart a little warmer and a lift bigger each book. She writes thoroughly human and relatable characters such as Sophie that it’s not possible to not love them. Her community of characters are people I would love as neighbours and friends.

The relationship between Sophie and Tom is what I loved the most although there’s real drama and emotion going on with Jackson, Pia and beyond our main characters , and that story is wonderful, I couldn’t wait to be back to a scene with both of them in, it’s so cute and awkward so very charming. This kind of charm, warmth runs throughout Sunny Sundays at Primrose Hall, another reason I love Jill Steeples books so much, you can feel the care and love for the story and its characters shining through.

I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

An absolutely brilliant book!
I've never read any of Jill Steeples' books before so she was a new author to me. I was hooked from the first page and couldn't wait to find out what happened next. Although this is the second in a series it doesn't matter if you haven't read the first as it can be read as a standalone book too. I can't wait to read the next instalment of the series after this one and will definitely be going back and reading the first one too! If you love animals, books set in the country and romantic fiction then I highly recommend this book to you. Perfect for fans of Heidi Swain, Trisha Ashley and Jessica Redland! Grab your copy now you won't regret it!

The Primrose Hall series of books have a likeable set of characters and a lovely sense of family and community. Not that everything goes smoothly all the time, In this fifth in the series, Pia has some serious challenges to face and Jackson's brother, Tom, has to step up to the plate. Working to help out at the Hall, he meets Sophie, who has had a difficult time and is trying to re-establish her life on an even keel.

It is interesting to see how attitudes change as the story evolves, especially Jackson's who has stood back, emotionally, from his newly acquired brother. I can absolutely visualise the Hall and its neighbouring countryside. Characters from previous stories appear from time to time, so it is good to catch up with their lives. I am hoping for another in the series as I think that Pia's story still has further to go. This is one of those series which leave you feeling uplifted, looking on the bright side.

In short: Family, friends, romance

A nice, quite quick read.
The author has a great way of drawing you into the world of Primrose Hall and everyone associated with it.
I enjoyed this book and getting to know all the characters (it is part of a series, but also works as a stand alone) although I must say I was a little disappointed by the ending. I just felt it ended a little abruptly. I was ready to enjoy some more of their lives, watch the different relationships blossoming, then suddenly felt a sense of the book summing up and suddenly it was the last page.
I appreciate there will be a follow up, finishing off this series, I just felt it could have done with just a little more at the end.
All in all a nice read and I’ll be keen to see how the series ends.

Primrose Hall and the community there
Are inspirational and everyone shows they care.
I welcome the opportunity to visit once more
To discover events, romances and places to explore.

This time there’s dramas and new folks, too,
With lots for everyone to work their way through.
Fresh starts for folks who have broken apart,
Maybe with the chance to heal there hearts?

A lovely read, with some worrying twists
And romance, family drama and events not to be missed.
When help is needed, there are supportive friends and family,
Helping each other through whatever the calamity.

A gorgeous read with characters who feel like friends
Making you regret when the story ends.
I love reading this series and can’t wait for more
To catch up on them again and new folks to explore.

For my copy of this book I say thank you
As I share with this, my honest review!

The Primrose Hall series is an absolute favourite of mine and it wraps itself around you like a warm hug, giving you all the fuzzy feels.

Sunny Days is the fifth installment to this charming series and although is easy to read as a standalone, I would urge you to start at the beginning, you don't want to miss out!

We become reacquainted with some old faces and meet some new. Its always a treat to revisit Primrose Hall and have a catch up, but saying goodbye always comes around too soon.

It's feel good fiction at its finest. It's enjoyable, heartwarming and always an absolute delight to read.

In the latest book of this delightful series, the focus shifts to Jackson's brother Tom, who aims to prove himself by running the Sunday craft sales at Primrose Hall. Sophie, recovering from a controlling marriage, sells her jewelry there, hoping to make it her full-time venture. Despite their reluctance for love, their friendship blossoms into something deeper, albeit slowly due to past scars. When tragedy strikes, Tom supports Jackson's fiancée Pia, strengthening their bond. Alongside other challenges faced by the characters, Tom's assistance proves invaluable. While the book can be enjoyed as a standalone, its richness is enhanced by familiarity with the series. Jill Steeples' storytelling is captivating, with well-paced narrative, vivid setting, warmth, humor, and authentic characters.

What a delightful read. This is a book to cosy up on the couch with, cup of tea in hand. I love the characters and the setting and adore Sophie and the new life she is forging ahead with.

I haven't read the other books in the series and think I must find them but having said that I didn't feel I needed them to read this one. This is a lovely, heart-warming and easy to read book that is charming. Need I say more. I am off to the library to see if I can now find the other books to read!

Thank you NetGalley and Boldwood Books for giving me the opportunity to read and review this book.

Sunny Sundays at Primrose Hall by Jill Steeples.
Primrose Woods Book 5.
The Sunday craft fairs in the renovated stables are a popular draw for the locals and tourists alike, enticed by the beautiful surroundings of Primrose Woods as well as the irresistible goodies on display. But for Sophie Wright they’re a chance to forge a new life and a new business. After leaving behind a turbulent relationship, Sophie is starting again – and romance is the last thing on her mind. Drop dead gorgeous Tom, Lord of the Manor Jackson’s newly-discovered older brother, is loving being a member of the Primrose Hall community. Content to muck in where he can be helpful, he’s just happy to be part of the family. But when tragedy strikes, Pia needs Tom more than he ever expected. And when Tom needs a shoulder to cry on, Sophie might be the perfect person to help – if only she hadn’t sworn off romance for good…
This was a really good book. I did like the cover. I did like Sophie and Tom and how they were together. Well written and I got into it straight away. Short chapters so I read it quickly. I loved how Pia and Jackson were. I'm looking forward to the next book. 4*.

This book is part of the Primrose Woods series. It can be read as a standalone novel but it is a lovely series, so I suggest reading the previous books first.
This book is set in Primrose Hall. Pia and Jackson have a busy schedule ahead of them, when there is a couple of serious problems. Tom has to step in and step up.

My Opinion

No matter what time of year, it is always pleasant to return to Primrose Hall. This is the fifth book in the series and whilst it could be read as a standalone it would be beneficial to read the books in order. Jill Steeples writes a kind, light-hearted book that really cheers up a miserable day. Jill has written a slight tragedy into this book but it all just shows how the residents can come together to help when needed.

This is another stunning book to add to the Primrose Woods series. Why not pop along to the latest craft fair? I am sure you will find something you like.

Rating 4/5

The Primrose Woods series is one I can always get into. I've read all in the series and always eagerly look forward to more additions to it.
The beautiful setting of Primrose Hall is front and center in this charming and uplifting book. Sophie has struggled through a bad relationship and finally she's out of it and ready to start anew. Primrose Hall has weekend craft fairs and it's the perfect opportunity for Sophie. She finds the customers warm and welcoming and the others at Primrose Hall just what she needs.
Tom newly found brother of Jacks, Lord of the Manor has to earn the trust of those around him and he'll do whatever it takes. As Sophie and Tom spend more time together, they just click, too bad Sophie isn't interested in a new romance yet.
I enjoyed catching up with the characters in the past book in the series. When Jackson is in an accident Tom is able to prove his worth and earn the trust of others as he spends a lot of time helping out. Full of love, laughter, tender moments, friendships and a slow burn romance. Life doesn't always turn out the way you expect, sometimes it's better. Fabulous relaxation read that has me wanting to visit Primrose Hall now and have tea with its occupants.

I was given a complimentary copy of this book.
All opinions expressed are my own.
