This is fast becoming one of our favourite outdoor education series.

In the latest release, we find out all about what to bring, do and spot on a nocturnal adventure. With top tops, scavenger hunts and stickers, we found out in depth information about owls, raccoons, crickets, stars, moths, amphibians and the night sky.

Discussing shooting stars, the planets and bioluminescence, we learnt so much and had shadow puppet fun too. With games to play to encourage fully immersive learning, this is another brilliant edition jam packed with information.

Another great addition to the series, Backpack Explorer: Night Walk leads elementary aged kids through what happens after dark. From the moon and constellations, to nocturnal animals, this book stands up to the wonderful natural world explorer premises. of the previous books in the series. This one is not my personal favorite BUT it may be yours so it is most definitely worth picking up!

Fantastic activity learning book for any age or country of origin, really. There are sections on the night sky, nocturnal animals and lots more, complete with fun learning tools like magnifying glass and ways to see animals and flora that have bioluminescence. Fantastic learning tool!
There are activities for learning and stickers (if the book is gifted to one person). It also encourages interaction for the reader with both the giver and the environment. I want one!
The illustrations are delightful, imaginative, clear, and colorful.
Well suited for reading WITH someone of any age including ESL, and great for gifting to anyone, and even to a school or teacher or your public library!

A marvelous book!

Just like the other book in this series, it's a great book that encourages exploration and provides a lot of good information. The art style and layout of the pages are great. There is really nothing bad to say about the book. It's great. I would highly recommend getting it for your child - especially if they are mildly curious about the biological world around them.

This is a book packed with interesting information about nocturnal animals as well as flowers that bloom in the night. It also features various fun activities for children to do at night in nature. It is a fabulous book.

We loved this book! It wasn’t all relevant to us given that we live in the UK but that seem to deter my children. We loved learning about and copying the animal sounds and the hunts for different noises and things to see at night. My oldest is 5 and he found it all really interesting, I’m sure in a couple of years he would even more so. My husband and I learnt a few things too and enjoyed learning about night blooming plants and glow in the dark. Really great book and I’ve not come across anything like it before. We are desperate to camp now

This is a fun book for any kid who likes exploring the outdoors. With a night time guide to sights and sounds and some activities too, this book has it all.

This was a fun book to read with my son. We have a fun tradition of doing what we call night “night hikes” when we go camping. So this is the perfect book for us. The book is full of fun information about things that happen at night, including animals that come out at night. I also really enjoyed the pages about the moon and the stars. I definitely recommend this book for families that enjoy exploring at night!
