This was a new author to me and I was hooked by the blurb. What a fantastic book. This author has a way of drawing in the reader with her well written and interesting main characters. I love any fake trope and this fake engagement come second chance was brilliant, I always struggle with time jump books but this one I really enjoyed!

I liked it. The characters constant hot and cold got a bit annoying but otherwise I enjoyed them. Time jumps are not my thing, but it was really one of my only complaints. Definitely wanted to love it more than I did though. 3.5 stars

Another Hardy brother that I love. Second chance, fake engagement and spice. I love that all the brothers are stand alones but love how they are all interconnected with family. Dex doesn’t know if he loves her or hates her and she wants to bring the love back.

This. Book…. Has my heart. Dex and Keelani were sweethearts, rebels, but in love, until one huge accident happens and everything changes. Kee sells her life to her record label in order to provide for her family and in return she leaves behind the love of her life to handle all the fall out. Many years later, they are finally face to face again and all bets and heartbreaks are on the table.

I’m 100% team Dex here, from the beginning. I was so upset that his family chose to hide the truth from him (why she left) for so long and saw him suffering all around. And it took me some time to forgive her as well, I know she was young and naive, but she had lot of time to deal with that. It was kind of nice to see her growth, though, to see her changing from a doormat to someone who can express her wishes and dreams.

Dex, I’m in love! Was he hard on her? Yes. Did she deserve that? Absolutely. But even with all his heartbreak and trying to mend his soul, he’d do absolutely anything for her, to protect, to love and to be his. His is such a dirty talker and also there’s a lot of steamy and greatness! Oh my, I want him for myself… actually, where can I order a Hardy brother for me, please?

Every scene with Dex and Kee together I thought it was great, it added something more to the plot and at times gave something new from them, sometimes vulnerable and others strength. I also enjoyed that there was some suspense in the story. Honestly I didn’t want to finish, I still need more from this couple! Highly recommend this series.

i don't even know where to start, honestly. i was expecting so much from this book, and i got nothing.

the characters were horribly written. it was constant hot and cold behaviours. everyone was pretending they had more power, but it felt like no one had any power at all. some scenes were cringey, and i did not like them. lots of things also felt unnecessary, ESPECIALLY the time jumps. it did not make sense to me. the smut also felt out of place. the book was mostly smut, but it came at places where it didn't fit (that's what she said), and it kind of ruined the book experience.

i just... it had my favourite tropes, and it crushed my soul because of how badly they were written.

I struggled to get into this story originally and had to go back to it.

I really enjoyed Dex and Kee’s story. Kee is trapped by circumstance and trying to do the best for her family, Dex doesn’t have the full picture and they part ways.

Years later Kee is contracted to perform at one of Dex’s casinos and they slowly find their way back to each other. The one thing I didn’t like about the story is that all those years later Kee is still a virgin while Dex has been living it up.

This is my first Shain Rose book, she has been on my TBR for quite some time, so when I was approved for the ARC, I was excited. I realize that I'm not a fan of her style of writing, too wordy, pacing all over the place. I feel like the scene is jumping from one to another, with little to not enough explanation about the environment or setting up the background scene, it's bizarre to me.

I'm not a fan of the characters either, especially the heroine, she is such a pushover. Working as a star for 15 years and still doesn't have enough money, due to her gambling father. And yet, she let her father use her for that long, it's not even bout the money, she let everyone step all over her, including the hero. The drama and angst are really OTT, I feel like between their first and second separation there's nothing changed, so why bother at all? This was exhausting to read, and I didn't enjoy it. I was planning to DNF'd in, but I'm already at the 40+% mark, so I pushed through, oh well...

Thank you to victory editing netgalley and page and wine for an arc of this book.

I really enjoyed this book, having read the first 2 books of the series I was really excited to read all about Dex and Keelani. Just from the snippets we got from the previous book I knew their story would be gut wrenching and it was but I loved watching them fall back in love (like they ever fell out). Dex was so possessive and truly cared about Keelani and you could see he just wanted the best for her. They both just needed to get over the past and work together to rebuild a relationship.

I know some people were unsure of Keelani but I really enjoyed her, she may have been a slight pushover but it was just because she wanted to help her family. I loved seeing her relationship with the other Hardy brothers and her friendship with Dimitri was so adorable I'm glad he stuck by her side throughout the years.

Can't wait to read Dimitris book! All 3 books so far have been amazing

Whee! Between Never and Forever is SPICY and sweet! Kee and Dex were teenage sweethearts that broke one another' hearts. Keelani is now a pop superstar and Dex is one of the richest men in the country. As they cross paths again, all Dex wants is to get over Kee once and for all. But fate has much more in store for these two! This was a hard read as it tackled some tough topics, but it was also fun to watch Kee and Dex find their way back to each other. Loved it!

OH MY GOSH, DID I LOVE THIS BOOK! Shain Rose has done it again!

Dex Hardy part owner of Hardy Enterprises, has been madly in love with Keelani for years. Keelani happens to be Dex's best friend's sister and the girl of his dreams. So when they are reconnected again he doesn't know what to do after finding out Keelani is engaged. He offers her the chance to be married to him for six months instead of marrying a man she doesn't love.

I really loved this book. The angst was a lot but deserved and honestly, I wished Keelani would have fought harder for her. He deserved to grovel. But a great book either way!

OH MY GOD THE ANGST IN THIS STORY??? I LOVED EVERY SECOND OF IT. i knew that when i got a glimpse of dex and kee in the past story that i would lose my mind and fall in love with them. their story was beautiful, watching a couple who as much as they wanted to not be in love with one another and who hurt each other deeply- just watching them rekindle their love? i just enjoyed this story so so much.

i need me a man like dex, i need me a hardy brother badly.

i relate to kee so much, she is someone who always put others first before herself to the point where she just wasn’t happy and i love that her friends and dex helped her see that.

5/5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

ALSO I CANT WAIT FOR THE NEXT FEW COUPLES. OLIVE AND DIMITRI?? I NEED IT BAD.

The overall story was interesting. The 2 main characters were very interesting. The positives of the book are the returning characters, the long history of the 2 main character’s, and the dangers of drinking and driving. This was a good addition to the author’s catalog. Overall the book was okay, I enjoyed the first 2 better.

Shain Rose is a new author to me, I wasn’t aware of this series until I read Between Never and Forever. A story of second-chance love, Keelani and Dex show just how love can survive through distance and years. I do like this genre!

Keelani and Dex grew up together and became so much more than friends until her singing career took off and a car accident left them broken. Keelani left to further her career and help her family. Dex went on to become a billionaire and owning a casino. Years later, Kee is set to perform at Dex's casino due to contractual obligations. Her record company is forcing her to do things she doesn't like but she needs money for her mother's medical bills. Dex has tried to get over Kee but he can't forget her. A fake marriage proposal may allow the couple to get over the past and each other. Problem is they can't stop their obsession with each other. A great read, looking forward to Dimitri and Olive's story.

"Between Never & Forever" by Shain Rose is an angsty rollercoaster ride of love, betrayal, and second chances.
Dex Hardy, the brooding billionaire, and Keelani, the once-up-and-coming popstar, share a tumultuous history filled with teenage love, tragedy, and misunderstandings. As they reunite years later, sparks fly amidst a backdrop of revenge and manipulation. Dex's character is captivating, but he’s also hiding a deeply wounded soul. While Keelani's journey from a one-dimensional persona to a more empowered woman is compelling, I wished for more development in her character. Despite this, the story is filled with intense chemistry, wicked banter, and suspenseful twists.

Overall, "Between Never & Forever" is a captivating read that will keep you hooked until the very end. And I’m excited to see if we get Dimitri’s book next.

Very grateful to the publisher and author for this copy, opinions are my own.

The emotion in this book is very heartfelt, and the romance starkly passionate. You will feel the struggle that these characters go through, but more than that you see their growth and journey together and finding different ways to heal and become more empowered in such a precious way that felt so relatable.

If you love a good, angsty romance then this one is for you! Soooo much angst and tension between Sav and Levi. I love the friends to lovers and second chance tropes, and this book hit me with both so I was sucked in from the start. I’m not normally a fan of the single dad trope, but this was done well and didn’t detract from the romance, I will definitely be reading more from Brit Benson. Thanks Netgalley and publisher.

Billionaire, second chance romance set in the Hardy family world. I liked being back in this world. The interactions between the Hardy’s are so funny, especially when the twins are involved.
Dex, (Dexton, love that name) and Kee were teenage sweethearts before they broke each other’s hearts. Can a decade and a six-month forced proximity force these two to admit their real feelings? Dex is the typical Shain Rose possessive H that I love. Kee, on the other hand is trying to figure out who she is after letting others decide her life for her. Their romance was angsty and painful and I loved the ride they took me on. Seeing other SR couples was a bonus too. It reminded me how much I love her FMC’s.
If you like Catharina Maura, you’ll love Shain Rose. They both write very similar books, and they’re fantastic.

The story had everything I’ve come to expect from Rose; the funny cute romantic side, the steamy, sexy, and hot scenes, but also the deeper and more meaningful conversations that help form a real relationship. It’s definitely one of top fav reads of the month.

Thanks to NetGalley, Victory Editing group and Shain Rose for allowing me to review this ARC!

I have read a few Shain Rose novels and they are sweet and spicy romances that are quite enjoyable to read. This book took me quite awhile to finish, perhaps because I felt like I didn't quite connect with the plot and characters. The beginning of the story pulls you in but once the story comes to present time I felt like it got a little difficult to understand. I did like the banter between the main characters and would recommend to anyone who likes a spicy romance but the plot's meaning was slightly disconnected.
