Best Aspect: I didn’t know sports commentator, but since my son is an Eagles fan, I gave it a go. Enjoyed th stories since many took place close to where I live.
Worst Aspect: Crude and arrogant in many parts, but he seems to comphend his past wrongs.

As a lifelong Philadelphia sports fan, I grew up with the voice of Angelo Cataldi in my home. Whether it be through his radio career at WIP or on his local sports show The Great Sports Debate, my family had the stations tuned to Philly sports. I am so glad that Cataldi read his own audiobook, because for the rest of my fellow multi-generational Philadelphia sports fans, it is a voice we all easily recognize, and no one could tell his story as well as he could.

While the book was full of humor, anecdotes, and behind the scenes details not previously known in some popular Philadelphia sports moments, I did stop to think every so often that if a person was reading this book with no prior knowledge of Cataldi and his career, or a general knowledge of Philadelphia sports, they may have become confused with the jumping around to different times. This would be my only critique of this book.

As for the rest, I thought Cataldi did a fantastic job of going through his career, reminiscing on events and giving his thoughts on experiences as he looked back. The audio of this book was the true highlight - while I am sure I would have still enjoyed the print version, hearing Cataldi bring his unique voice to his own story just made it that much better. I am sure any Philadelphia sports fan would agree it also brought a strong dose of nostalgia.

Thank you to NetGalley and HighBridge Audio for an advanced copy of this audiobook!
