This book offers concise answers to a variety of questions about the Bible and Christianity. While some questions presented may allow the reader to think more critically about a wide range of issues, I found many answers to be infused with the author’s opinions, which made it difficult to discern what was Biblical and what was a position held by the author. As such, rather than answering common questions about stories in the Bible or how a passage may be interpreted, the author selected several more controversial topics like abortion and evolution to discuss. Without concessions explaining the other side or a more comprehensive answer with a fuller analysis, the arguments were not as persuasive. On the same note, some answers included personal attacks and whether those were warranted or not did not strengthen the argument; instead I just had more questions about the credibility of the author. Finally, I have a difficult time accepting that any Bible answer book can be rendered “complete” as this title claims unless historical and cultural contexts are given and translations are resolved - or a story of Balaam’s talking donkey is analyzed, for example. There is certainly value in publishing this list of frequently asked questions about the Bible, but I urge any reader of any commentary to follow up with the Bible itself.

I appreciate the time the author has invested in providing this book as a Biblical resource. It is packed full of some great questions and answers. I would recommend it to readers with the disclaimer to study the Bible for yourself through prayer and other resources that are available.

This was a well thought out and in depth look at some of the deeper thoughts from the Bible that leave many with questions most aren’t willing to answer.

The Complete Bible Answer Book is not a book for light reading, but in reading it as I did, I found compelling answers and resolves to areas I was not sure about myself. Hanegraaff’s authoritative responses never demean the question but give thorough, well-researched answers to laymen and clergy alike. The book is an integral part of Bible study in a group or single, because most of us have a question about a Bible event that we need clarity on, and Hanegraaff has done, and continues to do, research for that reason. This is a must-have for your library.

First of all,, thank you netgalley for the ARC granted. It wasn't the quite type of narrative I was expecting , and yet, I coud appreciate some of the questions and answers from the narrative.

This book was a great resource the content in the beginning of the book was easy to follow and had excellent questions and the page to find the answer. I really enjoyed receiving this book to review. #netgalley

I really enjoyed The Complete Bible Answer Book. It covered many topics and questions, some of which I wouldn’t have even thought to ask. A great resource for those wanting to depend their understanding of the Bible.
