She's smart....

Which I like that Reece is intelligent, a child prodigy (but couldn't figure out something simple?). Thomas is slacker, entitled and her soon to be boss. For now, she's training him on the robotic world. I liked that Reece had her own robot sidekick. Cute. So, props for smart ladies in STEM/STEAM (don't forget the arts).
Not sure when these endless billionaires are coming from (mostly inherited money, natch). But good for Reece.

If you would love to have an AI robot sidekick - read this book!

Reese is a young robotics / AI PHD. She is an absolutely GENIUS.

She finds out that she has to babysit her bosses son, Thomas, who is going to take over the company. He’s a billionaire who has a business degree and has no idea what he is getting into in the Robotics world.

Their “meet cute” was hilarious! I definitely laughed out loud.

I really did enjoy their relationship and thought both characters were strong and deserved a happy ending.

This book was a little too “insta love” for my taste - but it was delivered in a great way!

Super cute fun enjoyable read!

No idea how Camila consistently always writes romance novels that are funny, heartfelt, modern and enraging!
Our heroine Reese is a kickass robotics rocket scientist, who was a child prodigy. Reese works at a robotics/AI manufacturing tech company in a senior role, and has already developed a cute human like robot (somewhat similar to R2-D2 from Star Wars) and Thomas is the tech company's owners Son, who Reese has to onboard and groom. Thomas and Reese are instantly attracted to one another, and the cute robot plays Cupid!
I must admit I didn't quite engage with the Hero Thomas, and felt he was a slacker nepo-baby initially but somehow Camilla redeemed him.

Reese and Thomas have to work together for the next three months so he can learn how her department works beause he will take the place of the CEO and she has to be his babysitter . Working together he charms her and they grow closer . I loved her droid K-2P .
I received this book from netgalley and the publicer as an ARC . Thank you . All thoughts and opinions are my own .

Ah this was a cute one. Reese is a super-smart Head of R&D at Mercer Robotics and Thomas is the billionaire son to the CEO who is about to become her new boss. Sparks fly, but the situation seems hopeless, given that Mercer has a strict anti-fraternization policy,

Things i loved:
1. I LOVED that the sidekick best friend was a robot named KP2. Like how are we living in a time where robot friends aren't already a thing? This robot was SO cute and his banter was just hilarious. I think he was my favourite character.
2. I was rooting for both Reece and Thomas and really liked their characters.

Things i loved a little less (some spoilers ahead):
1. Didnt love the insta-love - it just never seems organic when characters are saying their I Love Yous after knowing each other for about legit 10 days
2. Was a bit annoying that this super smart Head of R&D didnt see that there were cameras all around her offices
3. Why are these billionaires always happy to just drop their entire lives and family businesses for a girl. Like, its romantic and all, but there has to be a happy medium. Also, where can i find this billionaire for myself.

Favourite line:
1. Everything said by KP2 (i am honeslty obsessed with the little robot man)
2. "Thomas leaves, to get a desk, to pack his things, to comb his perfect hair"

This was such a cute read! I really liked Isley's writing style and this was really easy to read. For some reason I didn't really connect with Reese but Thomas was really cute and charming, and I liked the chemistry between them from the get go. Special mention goes to the wonderful K-2P robot, what a great character! The start of the book was pretty slow and personally I like that things progress a bit faster, but if you're a fan of a really slow burn and STEM romance, then you will probably like this.

Let me just start off by saying that was a hilarious meet cute. Could not have gone better, though I’m sure Reese would disagree. These characters were so much fun. Plus witty banter with flirty undertones? YEESSSSSS. I was giggling and snuggling under my blanket while being absolutely thrilled with the dialogue.

Plus come on, any opportunity to throw in a one bed situation like *whoopsies, whatcha gonna do?* are generally gold. I think it worked really well here with the plot and characters.

The one thing I was a little on turned off on was the whole “no one wants me, no one ever chooses me” blah blah blah. We get it. And I’m not at all discounting the feeling or the importance to the character/relationship/story development, I’m just thinking it doesn’t need to be mentioned as heavily (being sentence after sentence after sentence about how no one wants you).

But on to more exciting things, I need myself a K-2P. Do we think that’ll be available by 2025 or…? A sassy, gossiping, lovable little mascot/drone mix, it was by far a favourite and memorable side character. *amused beep*

I’m not sure how others will feel about this, but one thing I really appreciated as well was the maturity and tact these two used when facing their conflict. They were adults and they talked about things LIKE ADULTS and they made a plan and figured life out. LIKE ADULTS. This is not a erotic office romance where boss is doing a subordinate day in and day out around the office. It’s real (fictional) people with real world concerns. Just my two cents.

This world was a lot of fun. While I may have been more Thomas than Reese on the scale of engineering and robotics knowledge, I still felt like I could follow along and not miss anything.

Final thoughts:
- Reese + Thomas for president
- K-2P is welcome at my place anytime for sleepovers
- Maria sounds a little exhausting at times but a friend who will always have your back
- See you never to the accidental email attachments guy. No spoilers. 😉

This was a pretty fun read and I adored K2P.
The insta attraction always doesn't do it for me though. It felt they kept bhinking about how good looking the other was and other conversations were more muted

I have to confess the science in this book was way over my head, but the romance was sparkling and witty. You can't go wrong when you have your own personal robot/droid named K2-P who adds humor in every scene with his sassy and highly opinionated commentary. I found myself almost falling in the floor laughing at times. K2-P was actually the star of the show.

Reese Campell is only 28 years old with her Ph.D. She is head of Research and Development at Mercer Robotics. Her brain and IQ are too big for me to even comprehend. Her high intelligence has served her well in work, but not so well in the romance department. When she is informed by her big boss (as she calls him) that he is getting ready to appoint his son, Thomas Mercer, over her division, she is a not a happy woman. She has no desire to move up, but she does not feel that Thomas is qualified for the position. Thomas knows nothing about robotics, engineering, etc. He has a business degree. She has been tasked with teaching Thomas what he needs to know. She feels like a glorified babysitter for a rich and snobby man who has done nothing to merit his new position. She is a little shocked at the nice-looking man that walks through the door. However, she does not hold back. She tells him exactly what she thinks of the situation. You have to love her candid observations. She just tells it like it is. Thomas takes it in stride and actually agrees with her.

Thomas and Reese are so perfect for each other. It was immediately apparent to me from their first meeting. Thomas respected her and her knowledge. He really did want to learn, and he was very honest when she was talking above his head. It was an entertaining book with so much wit, as well as some sigh-worthy moments. It had a clever plotline and engaging characters, which included the main characters and supporting characters. Everyone played their part well. Star Wars lovers will delight in this story with so many references to the Star Wars franchise. This was a good and light-hearted romance.

3 stars

I liked the story overall, my favorite character was K-2P. I feel like the story was rushed a bit though. The main characters fell in love too fast and without even really getting to know each other. I wish there was more development in that aspect but overall a quick and fun read. Never read any other books from this author but I’d be open to reading more by her.

5 shining stars! A lovely book!

The Love Algorithm sounded like an interesting book because it's refreshing to read about smart women. The main character of this book is Reese, who works at Mercer Robotics. Reese is not very happy when she learns that she will have to introduce the department to the Big Boss's son Thomas, who will be visiting their department for several months.

Forced proximity! Anti-fraternization policy! One office! Butterflies in stomach! And when you add a little undeniable chemistry to this, one jovial droid and the boss's son, who has an all-too-good backside, a great workplace romance is ready. It made me really happy that Thomas didn't have a problem with Reese being so smart!

I absolutely loved this book. The story was immediately captivating, the characters were likable. The book made me feel good. This is the third part of the series, but worked very well as a standalone.

What to expect:
* Dual pov
* Forbidden love
* Forced proximity
* Hea
* Millionaire
* Office romance
* One bed
* Opposites attract
* Super cute secret love notes
* Slowburn
* Third act: NO break up
* Weddings

Well that dedication though! Yes and yes! I want a same droid as Resse built for herself. I mean who wouldn’t want that ha? As usual camilla came again with an amazing book; The Love algorithm.

Reese, a brilliant mind of Research and Development in Mercer Robotics, finds herself facing an unexpected twist in her career and that was babysitting the CEO's son, Thomas. But she didn’t know what was to come in her way.

This book is charming and witty it made me giggling swooning throughout the book. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a feel-good romance.

Yay for Thomas’s story! Finally! When I first ‘met’ him in Blake and Gabriel’s book, I thought he was a hilarious character because of his humour. In this book I got to see his flirty, charming and sweet side of his character. He’s a really loveable guy. So thinks Reese. She’s an extremely smart and successful nerdy girl personified and kind of the opposite of Thomas yet their chemistry was undeniable. Sometimes Reese’s behaviour felt a bit childish with all the nervousness around Thomas and the fleeing from situations. Apart from this I really liked how their relationship evolved in a slow burn. Also, K-2P was an amazing addition to the story. He was hilarious with the banter and the attitude and I loved how he bonded with Thomas.
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for providing me a copy of the book.

💭 MY THOUGHTS: This book was so sweet and cute - the perfect airplane read. It’s the third book in a series but reading this as a standalone totally worked!

Reese and Thomas have insta-chemistry and all my favorite tropes. He’s a billionaire and she’s a robotics genius. They both see past one another’s labels and give the other person what they’ve been missing in other relationships.

I also really loved K-2P who is Reese’s robot! I wasn’t sure how a robot would play out but he was a quirky, fun sidekick that had fun interactions with his humans.

Another amazing book from Camilla Isley. Thomas and Reece are adorable and I love a good office romance. They were instantly infatuated with each other but couldn't do anything about it. Personally, I love the waiting. It gave them the time to properly fall in love with each other.

I received an arc through netgalley.

DNF at 10%

I was so interested in this story when I requested to read it - a STEM novel and I've read Isley before and knew I enjoyed her style.

However, I could not get into this. I felt it was boring and could not continue past 10%. It felt wordy and dragging.

I could not out this book down!
One thing I love is a workplace, cute nerdy romance and this ticked all those boxes.

At 28, Reese has worked hard, and given up a lot to get her career where she has it. And she doesn’t want Thomas, the billionaire son of the CEO doing anything that could jeopardise it. Even if he has smouldering eyes and leaves her cute blue post it notes to read.

Reese can’t let an office romance, especially with her boss, take away everything she’s worked for. But when she no longer can deny the crazy chemistry between them. What can she do?

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

So, I love a friends to lovers trope, especially one where we have side characters from a previous book! Literally my favourite thing! The Love Algorithm had a really great set up and I really enjoyed the fact that it wasn’t just saturated with smut… it was cute and funny and witty and just made me laugh and smile throughout!

Thank you Netgalley, Camilla Isley and Boldwood Books for this advanced reader copy in exchange for an honest review. The Love Algorithm comes out on the 26th April and I would really recommend getting your hands on a copy!
