Cute cast of characters, but not a fan of the two awful "deals" the main character is caught between. On the part of the teacher, it's HIGHLY unethical, and on the part of Honda, it's extremely creepy and coercive. I know this sort of premise is all too common in Yuri and Yaoi but within the scope of this volume, it's never addressed and it never becomes romantic. Shame because there's so little good Yuri manga.

Tropey and cute GL.. The characters are easy to root for, their relationship is tender yet still a bit silly. Overall, I would definitely recommend this book to someone who wants to try out GL for the first time. class rep & truant student as a fun pairing I do with the truant character waws a bit more rebellious given what she's been through. I also wished it move da bit further than kissing like some teen BL does. I like the dashes of fourth wall breaks. character art well done and I loved that all the girls looked different & unique. I will definitely look for a physical copy and rec to others. Excited for future volumes!

The story is cute, even if the premise is a little strange. The main character is endearing with plenty of cute moments to draw the reader in. But, there was something lacking a little. I'm not sure if it was a lack of conflict or tension.

TW: Dubcon depiction on consent

I was pretty unsure with this one. The premise seems like pretty interesting idea, the cover was intriguing yet a little concerning. I was not disappointed. The sweet romance between the girls blooms was so tender. I would have done away with the dubcon aspect that happened in the beginning. It was odd that the teacher had asked the main character to bring the love interest to school in order to get a high rank for any university that she wants to get into. Overall this was worth the read.

Sadly for me, this one wasn't a win. For me, it feels a little too fetishy, so it's a me, not the manga thing. The art was stunning, and the concept of the series isn't necessarily a bad one. It's just one that doesn't work for me like I wanted it to. I hope this one works better for you. Still give it a try!

This series is ADORABLE!
I got this book as an arc from Netgalley and have continued to read it separately afterwards!
If you like Yuri/GL and highschool romance, this is for you

I wasn't entirely sure what to expect going into reading this.

Ayaka agrees to convince truant student Sora to attend school and keep up her grades in exchange for a recommendation to the school of her choice. When Sora finds out, she makes Ayaka agree to grant her one request per day.

I was fearful that this could get very creepy, but so far, it's honestly pretty cute. I believe that Sora's actions are driven by her deep loneliness and possibly a past crush she may have had in Ayaka when they were younger. Most of the "requests" involve things like hand holding and cuddling with Sora after she opens up a little about her situation.

I am absolutely cheering for Ayaka and Sora to grow closer and develop a beautiful relationship.

Thank you again to NetGalley and Kashikage for allowing me to read the ARC!

This was a solid 1st volume, I quite like it and I'd like to read the rest of the series, I want to know how everything will develop. The characters were okay, the art was good and cute, however one think that irked me was the dubious consent and the manipulation. That made it a bit hard to connect with the story and made a little me uncomfortable. Overall it was good.

This one is a bit hard to rate. On the one hand, the story tries to delve into a the main character’s journey of self-discovery. Sakurai is a teenage girl who only cares about grades. But then she meets Honda-san and suddenly she’s asking herself questions. What do these new feelings mean? Am I attracted to this girl? But on the other hand, the manga explores the theme in a very weird way. Honda-san hasn’t been coming to school and Sakurai strikes a deal with her. In order to get Honda-san to take her exams, Sakurai has to play her games. And one of these games involves a kiss. The consent is a bit dubious, especially due to the big panel on page 34 where the main character looks frightened. I get it—not everybody understands their sexual preferences as a teenager and that’s what the manga is hinting at. I just wish we could have got a better developed plot. But Yuri is a genre in itself and this manga probably caused no concerns in Japan.

This was a short and sweet introduction to this romance. This first volume had tension, provided character introductions, and began the romance in an interesting way.

As someone who loves manga and spends a decent amount of time on webtoons, I loved this first volume. The story line of a lonely girl who is essentially abandoned by her parents and she is approached to come back to school by another student whose motivation is to receive a referral from her teacher.
I like all the characters. I like there is no hidden secret because the lonely girl finds out right away what the other girl’s motivation is and uses it to her advantage to get a daily request fullfilled. I would absolutely read more of this series.

Thank you Kodansha and NetGalley for the providing me with the ARC.

I will start off with the good things in this volume. The art is pretty cute for the most part. Character design is basic but pleasing to look at nonetheless. The amusement park chapter was probably the height of the volume and the best showcase of the characters personalities.

Onto the things I didn't love. Right off the bat, the consent is a little dubious. This is something I actually see too often in queer manga and I think is a real detriment to the genre. Not only was the ethical aspect questionable but it's also very insta-lovey, which has never really been my thing. It's not as if they don't have chemistry, their "relationship" just moves to fast.

I absolutely love this! I cannot wait to read the rest of this series. I love how cute it is and the two main characters are just wonderful.
Also being wlw too. It’s just amazing. I can’t wait to see where it goes next for Sakurai and Honda

Thank you NetGalley for allowing me to review this

This was so cute!! I randomly saw it on netgalley, not really knowing what to think of it, but the moment I saw it was a girls' love manga, I was sold!!

I can't say no to the lonely girl follows the story of Sakurai Ayaka as she ends up being forced to fulfill this lonely girl's requests and who knows? All this might end up in romance.

As I said, I wasn't sure what to think but this happened to be exactly what I needed. I really loved the two main characters, Sakurai and Honda, and their dynamics were just so interesting.

The concept of this book is similar to other things I've read before but at teh same time the way it is portrayed is just completely unique. I'm really curious to see how everything will develop in the next volumes!

This e-ARC was provided to me by the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

I had such mixed feelings about this manga. On the one hand I’m endlessly amused by the teacher who keeps jumping out of the bushes, but on the other hand the consent is really gray. The main character is likely queer, but her introduction to that comes from a classmate kissing her without asking and then offering to do what she wants only if she grants a daily “request”. This manipulation made me uncomfortable, even as the really adorable romance unfolded. I wish the author had found another way for the two girls to connect. The “requests” make it impossible to feel like their connection is actually genuine. A bummer since they are adorable and have so much potential as a couple.

What drew me to reading this story was the cute art, which I do adore. The story itself is cute and tropey, though the manipulative concept that brings the two main characters together does not sit particularly well with me, you do see that mutual feelings begin to form. Wouldn't go out of my way for Volume 2, would read if I see it.

This was unexpected, it's been a while since I read any yuri manga and I Can't Say No to the Lonely Girl is surprisingly wholesome. It's tropy and cute but I liked that the story has an obvious deeper level, we don't learn a lot about Honda but I imagine that'll come in later volumes.

My main gripe was the teacher and weirdly the font choice.

Really good first volume, it's a strong start to the series and got me hooked for the next volumes. The characters feel very realistic and you quickly create a strong bond with them. I enjoyed the attraction park part the most, although the coincidences were a little too artificial and forced there was some character development and seeing the girls on the Ferris wheel was really cute.

This was such a cute and wholesome story. I am rooting for the main characters to figure this out, and can’t wait for the next volume to see where this story goes.
