The universe works in mysterious ways! Results and causes can be unpredictable, but there is a pattern to them, known as the 80/20 principle. This principle states that 80 percent of results come from 20 percent of causes, and sometimes even from a smaller, more powerful portion. When you recognize these imbalances in your life, you can harness them to achieve greater results with less effort, stress, time, or money

By identifying activities with a high ratio of results to resources, such as effort or time, you can tap into the essence of the 80/20 principle. It's not just about achieving success; it's also about finding happiness and reducing stress for yourself and others. Opportunities to apply the 80/20 principle are everywhere in life, waiting to be discovered.

Traditionally, the 80/20 principle has been associated with business and economics. However, the author's mission is to expand its application to all areas of your life. By embracing the 80/20 principle, you can greatly enhance your peace of mind, joy, achievements, and positive impact on the people around you.

To make the most of the 80/20 principle, it's crucial to constantly ask yourself: What are the vital few things in my life that contribute to the majority of my success? What actions or experiences have a significant positive impact, and how can I incorporate more of them into my life? Don't assume you already have the answers; take the time to think creatively and explore the possibilities.

Whether you're in business, entertainment, media, or any other field, you can achieve success while enjoying a more relaxed approach. The true essence of the 80/20 principle lies in the pursuit of finding better ways of doing things or discovering activities that bring greater fulfillment. Embrace the mindset of doing more with less, and know that countless opportunities await you on this journey.

This book is not only informative but also an enjoyable read. It offers valuable insights and success tips that can bring about positive changes in your life. I highly recommend it to anyone seeking personal growth and a better understanding of the 80/20 principle.

"The 80/20" by Richard Koch offers daily advice to help readers live better lives with less effort. Drawing on the principles of the bestselling book "The 80/20 Principle," Koch explores how identifying and leveraging asymmetries in various aspects of life can lead to greater success and fulfillment.

Koch demonstrates how the 80/20 principle applies to everyday situations, showing readers how a small proportion of their efforts often yields the majority of results. Through insightful daily reflections, readers are encouraged to identify the 20% of activities that bring the most value and focus on them, while minimizing time and energy spent on less productive endeavors.

What sets this book apart is its practical approach to enhancing life by focusing on what truly matters. Koch emphasizes the importance of making fewer but more impactful decisions, and highlights key factors that influence happiness. By embracing the concept of intelligent laziness, readers can achieve success on their own terms, with as little or as much effort as they choose to invest.

Overall, "The 80/20" offers a valuable roadmap for optimizing productivity and satisfaction in daily life. With its accessible format and actionable insights, it's a must-read for anyone seeking to maximize their potential and live more intentionally.

I rate it 4 stars out of 5.

80/20 Daily is a very easy-to-read book that uses various practical examples in which the rule can be applied in different spheres of life. For me, as a leader in the recruitment field, I found the references to leadership and management, approaches to more effective recruitment, and the mention of smart laziness people (and the value they ultimately bring) particularly interesting. Although these were the topics that interested me the most, the book is sufficiently comprehensive, covering almost every topic one can imagine in everyday life.

I thank the author for giving me the opportunity to access this reading in advance.

Really interesting read from Richard Koch exploring the intersection between selectivity and success . I was relatively new to the 80/20 principle but Koch breaks it down in such easily digestible and short chapters - and it all resonated really deeply with me. I have never highlighted so many chapters and quotes in a book and will definitely be dipping and diving into this for a long time yet. I have already found myself applying this wisdom to my life and finding greater joy in the things I choose to dedicate my time to. Highly recommend for those who - as Koch describes are intelligent, idle and ambitious.

Many thanks to Nicholas Brealey, Richard Koch & NetGalley for an advanced reader copy in exchange for my review.

Hey folks, just wanted to share my thoughts on this book I recently picked up.
- It's all about this concept called the 80/20 rule, where you focus on the vital few things that really make a difference.
- One example they give is how 20% of your efforts often lead to 80% of your results.
- I've started applying it to my work and personal life, and I gotta say, I'm seeing some positive changes.
- It's not a magic solution, but it's definitely helping me prioritize better and feel more balanced.
- This book helps you to work smarter, not harder everyday

“If you expect life to be easy, you will be disappointed and frustrated. But if you expect life to be difficult, you can take the difficulties in your stride and take pride in overcoming them. By expecting life to be difficult, it is no longer difficult. The difficulty is discounted. It no longer matters, except as a stepping-stone to greater self-confidence.” - Richard Koch

I thoroughly enjoyed reading 80/20 Daily. I have not read Richard Koch's earlier works but found this book to stand on its own well. The book provides a number of examples of ways in which our lives are ruled by the 80/20 principle. As a student of chaos theory and complexity science, I could relate to the need for a change in perspective and a change in how we operate in both life and business. Recognizing chaotic patterns, learning to be okay with a lack of control, and the strength in weak links are all principles that will lead to greater creativity, more innovation and a decrease in overall stress. This book makes me want to read more by Richard Koch.

Interesting read but think this would benefit better from a physical copy rather than a kindle so you can make notes and highlight parts you want to use and come back to them when you need to. Some of this stuff is not new but it sets itself out in a really easy to follow format that is easy to pick up and dip into.

Interesting book - as ever with a self-help book, I'd already got some of the ideas from other sources, but there was new ways of looking at things here to take away with me., so it was worth reading. I would say that a paperback copy to flick back and forward through would have been slightly easier to use than the kindle version, but that's personal preference.

Found out a little too late that this is more of a workbook companion to a more through book on the 80/20 theory, so that should be read first. I don’t think this book is completely useless without the prior reading, but it would definitely help! Any book in a workshop format really appeals to my AuDHD, so I’m happy to have it!

The content is easily digestible and presented in a workbook-style format that allows for convenient referencing whenever you require guidance.

Thank you to NetGalley for providing a digital copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.

This was an easy read and a good companion to THE 80/20 PRINCIPLE earlier book by the author. I wouldn't recommend reading this first because it lacks the exposition and structure of that earlier book, but if you're looking for self-improvement and/or productivity nuggets of wisdom (3-5 paragraphs) to reflect on in the morning and like Richard Koch's work, then this is for you. The book covers various areas of life where you can apply 80/20 thinking (time, happiness, creativity, money, friends, romance, etc) so over 365 days, you cover quite a bit of ground. Just don't expect great depth -- this is a book that itself adheres to the 80/20 principle.

I enjoyed reading this book and I am currently implementing what I learn in my daily routine. I believe human behaviour can be changed and, by following the 80/20 principle, I can create new, useful habits for myself.

Started this book and boy was it hard to read. I have some background knowledge on 80/20. I was hoping this book would help explain the idea behind it and tips and tricks on how to master it. However, the first 5-10% was repeating the same thing over and over again. I didn’t learn anything and overall felt like if I were to complete the book, it would take months due to how unhelpful it was. It can easily be summed down to news article length

3.5/5 Stars! Thank you, NetGalley and Nicholas Brealey Publishing for this eARC of 80/20 Daily by Richard Koch.

This book is very resourceful! Lots of information that can help out with a lot of questions that you may have. I would most likely prefer the physical book because I wanted to go back and forth between chapters quickly. If I was not in the stage that I'm currently in, I would probably have seen this book to help become happier and less stressful. Lots of helpful tips and very quick easy reads.

A solid 3.5/5 for me. There’s a lot of information packed into this book, which is great! The eBook formatting (I think this is purely due to ARC) was a little difficult in terms of readability, but I enjoyed it nonetheless.
