This is volume one of the series and it absolutely love this one. Right from the chapter one it kept me hooked till the end of the book. The plotline and illustrations are so beautiful that it had my attention for the full time.
The plot was well paced. I absolutely love it. I am looking forward to the next upcoming volumes in this series.

Your Throne is an incredible WEBTOON. I followed it from its conception and immediately fell in love with the mythic Medea turned power hungry protagonist. Her arc throughout the entire series is one of the best, as she learns there is more to life than her family’s approval and esteem. She and Pysche are an amazing duo, the characters in this text are complex, believable, deep, emotional, and sympathetic. There is so much action and drama and humor and growth. One of the best graphic novels I’ve read.

Your Throne follows Medea and Psyche after they switch bodies and have to learn how to live in the others shoes.

I can’t start this review without talking about Medea!!! She is so cool. I love her already. She is strong, beautiful, manipulative, and a little unhinged. Honestly, the darkness her character has is part of why I really like her. It’s refreshing to read about a “villainess” character that actually does bad things. Her character is so interesting. She is extremely jealous of Psyche due to the Crown Prince, Eros, supposedly being “in love” with Psyche. It seems much darker than that though.

Psyche is basically the complete opposite of Medea. While also beautiful, she is weak, gentle, and kind. This first volume hasn’t shown a ton of her backstory, however some of the hints we have gotten have seemed a little scary. Psyche is interesting as well, but I don’t think I’ve seen enough of her in this first volume to really have a good grasp of her. She does seem to really care for Medea though which is intriguing.

Psyche and Medea’s relationship is interesting. There were hints at a previous friendship between the two, which could explain Medea’s hatred of Psyche because of her “betrayal.”

I don’t really love the whole “switching bodies” trope, but it does make for an interesting storyline and I do think that it will be really interesting for Medea to learn what Psyche actually goes through. The first half of the book didn’t really grab my attention, but by the end I was hooked. I’m so curious to see where this story will go. I’m hoping for Medea and Psyche to come together, but we will see.

Overall, the story is pretty dark. There is a lot of manipulation and some physical violence, however it fits the theme so well. There are also the obvious references to Greek mythology which is very interesting. Admittedly, I don’t know a ton about the original stories, but that doesn’t seem to matter so far.

Wow, this books has a lot of twist and turns! Medea is truly an interesting and capable heroine to follow. I can't wait to read the next volumes.

The art, character, storyline, vibes, and so much more was IMMACULATE. The premise was great and really drew me in, and I’m excited to continue with the story.

"Your Throne" caught my eye when it first hit Webtoon, but I didn't jump on board until now.
Medea and Psyche shine in their own arcs, steering clear of the tired rivalry trope. It's a welcome change of pace that sets it apart.
I am curious though, will Eros be a villain? Because I will be so disappointed if he ended up redeemed as any other love interests.
On the upside, the classic shoujo art style hits all the right notes, adding a nice nostalgic touch. However, the story gets bogged down by too many info dumps scattered throughout, disrupting the flow and hindering the world-building. Overall, it's a decent read, but those pacing issues hold it back. Three out of five stars from me.

If you’ve read one (or twenty) villainess-style web comics or light novels, Your Throne starts with a situation that’s all too familiar: the villainess—our protagonist—has had her engagement with the prince broken so the prince can be with the heroine instead.

This is the point where, in a villainess isekai, the protagonist will most likely run off to avoid her certain doom, possibly by going into the forest to woo a demon lord or getting picked up by the prince’s oddball sister. If it’s a villainess time loop story, she might instead escape the palace and find the nearest carriage to drive her off into her glorious future as a merchant.

But Your Throne isn’t one of those stories. And when Crown Prince Eros wrongs Lady Medea, she’s fully prepared to scheme her way back into the palace to knock Lady Psyche out of the place Medea fully intends to occupy.

Like many readers driving the light novel and manhwa markets to new heights in the US, I’m quite familiar with villainess stories. I read a lot of them in manga, light novel, and web comic or manhwa format. And I’ve seen almost every villainess-themed anime that’s aired. But Your Throne is one of the best villainess dramas I’ve come across, even after reading more iterations of the Villainess’s Broken Engagement Encounter™ than I care to recall.

During the early stages of Medea’s revenge plot, something goes awry—or maybe precisely as the divine powers intend: she swaps bodies fully unintentionally with Psyche, the low-ranking noble woman who Eros rejected her to marry. Medea is the daughter of a duke—making her one step down from a princess already—with a haughty and arrogant demeanor backed up by her incredible intelligence, physical strength, and manipulative talents. Psyche, on the other hand, is praised for being sweet, meek, and obedient.

A great appeal of the villainess storytelling subgenre of light novels and manhwa is the fact that many villainess stories address the misogyny of otome games and shojo stories in Japanese and Korean media, like the “appealing traits” of a female lead including being weak and inciting a “need to protect” in the men around her. This is one area where the first volume of Your Throne shines, and it’s also the area where the manhwa starts to overlap in content and theme with something very unexpected.

Readers familiar with the story of Medea (the Greek one) will probably notice quite a few similarities in the story of Medea (the Korean one). The most well-known version is the one presented in the Euripides play Medea, in which the titular character seeks and achieves vengeance against her husband, who is abandoning her in favor of another woman. Your Throne thus far shares quite a few elements with the Euripides play—the protagonist’s name, her alliance with a character named Helio (after Helios, the Greek sun god), and a narrative implying that Medea’s actions are justified by the betrayals of the man who wronged her.

Every time I pick up a villainess story, one of the highlights for me as a reader is to discover how the author decides to treat the heroine in the narrative. Without providing any more spoilers than I already have, I’ll say that how SAM handles Psyche was a pleasant surprise, especially considering the story’s dark and twisting tone.

Like most manhwa, Your Throne is a full-color comic, and it’s absolutely beautiful to look at. The style leans away from the cute shojo style common to romantic comedies and more lighthearted manga and manhwa, and it’s clear from the style that the story is more serious and lacks comic relief. That said, it’s still drawn in a very typical romance manhwa style, and readers looking for something more unusual or more complex may be disappointed.

While the dramatic tone may be different from some of the most popular villainess stories readers may encounter, Your Throne is an intense and morally complex story featuring fantastic art and plenty to keep you hungry for volume two. Recommended for older YA and adult audiences.

I have been reading SAM's original works for a little over a year now and I'm so exited to finally see these webtoons come to actual physical books. As per usual, Your throne is an amazing book with amazing characters, all of them have such different characteristics, both physically and in the way the act making them easy to recognize and impossible not to love.

Your Throne is a romance and fantasy web comic in which our protagonist, Lady Medea Solos, sees how her future, her dreams, and plans are taken away from her overnight and handed over to Psyche, who becomes the new prince's fiancée and future princess

This is the first volume, and it goes from chapter 1 to 12, which may seem like very few chapters, but let me tell you that the amount of things that happen in those twelve chapters is enough to write a book on its own.

There is plot twist, drama, unexpected discoveries, an attempted murder, gossip, characters change bodies, betrayal, those who thought they were the good guys turn out to be the bad guys in the story, manipulation, lies… everything!

And the best part is that, although the first volume only has twelve chapters, the comic is available on webtoon until chapter 198.

The art and drawing are exceptional, the plot is very well constructed as are the characters.

I totally recommend this comic.

Now this is a story. I love reading manwha and webtoons that have a historical style. This does not disappoint, it has such a twist that I don’t even know who to support. It’s refreshing to read a plot that doesn’t stick to the typical Cinderella and villainous arc.
Both female characters are well developed and have you wanting to know more about their past.
The artwork is lovey , and the English translation are excellent.
I highly recommend and can’t wait for volume 2.

Sadly I couldn’t read this book. It wouldn’t let me download it but I will keep trying to find a way to download it.

Thick and juicy plot. Morally grey characters with great potential. Melodramatic at times. Fresh concepts that challenge clichés. Introduction to the setting and characters could be improved on to prevent confusion. Well-executed elements of mystery. Tension-filled interactions keep you on the edge of your seat. Overall, an average read.

Really enjoyed the artwork having a gothic vibe to it. Yet again another webtoons author getting into the spot light and loving that publishers are listening to readers and finding gems we’ve been following for ages.

My favorite thing about this is that you really have no idea who the actual villian is here. I love me a good twisty turny.

I'm not usually a huge fan of body switching and it does drag just a bit in the middle but it definitely picks up more towards the ending again.

before starting this i thought that fantasy webtoons, especially those with royalty as a main topic, we're not for me. but, oh boy, was i wrong.

i loved this so much. the political aspects and all the power games?? absolutely amazing.

i adore medea and heli and i'm so curious to see more of them. i wonder what their relationship will be like since we didn't get a lot of them together so far.

psyche was also really interesting but i don't yet have a good enough grasp on her character to really understand her.

So there is a badass woman who would rip your tongue off if you say anything mean about her, another woman who is kind hearted but really needs to start taking a stand for herself (she is also engaged to the prince), a very loyal knight who would die for the badass woman and a vicious prince who needs to die.

To say I loved it will be the understatement of the year. The illustrations are so good, and the plot is fast paced, so much has happened in just a few chapters and I can't wait to continue the series.

Your Throne is a gorgeous, riveting piece about a body-swap gone wrong, which in turn uncovers more secrets. The art style is beautiful and I found it was well adapted from the usual Webtoon scrolling format. I could not put this down, it was such a fast-paced and engaging story. This was my first time reading this series, and I look forward to continuing it!

To be perfectly honest, I thought this was messy. Some webtoons weren't meant to make it off the app!

An interesting premise (body swap, mystery of just exactly what each others' lives are like) but a bit too melodramatic for my tastes. Art is good, but nothing too special. The mystery of who exactly the "good guys" are is probably what will keep me reading.
