I absolutely loved this story. I didn’t see the fun twist at the end coming. Delightful pictures. Uplifting and cheery, as was the story. If I had children, I would purchase for a home library. I was blessed with a free ARC, and I’m leaving my review voluntarily. Highly recommend.

This was a cute story we liked the colourful illustrations. The story was a little weak but my daughter didn’t mind that. It’s not one I would read a lot tho.

This was such a cute kid's story. I read it with my daughter at bedtime and she enjoyed it. It's a great story about kindness and love and it wasn't very long so it was perfect for her 6yo attention span. Lol

I read this book to my 4 year old and she loved all the illustrations and colors! She loves unicorns and of course magical stories. She was so excited when we found out the surprise twist and it was such a cute warm ending. It was a little long though and she kept getting distracted, which is expected for her age of course. It is definitely a good book to have on your self with plenty of pictures and pages for her to “pretend to read”

Thank you NetGalley and BookBuzz.net for providing me with this arc in exchange for my honest review.

This has one of the most beautiful and cute unicorn illustrations I have ever seen! And I absolutely loved the ending :).

Abby is a lonely orphan who meets Zoe, a talking unicorn, when she’s picking flowers one day.

Zoe has a problem which makes her feel very lonely and Abby knows how that feels and doesn’t want anyone else to feel that way, so she decides to help Zoe.

With the help of a good witch, they go on a quest together, to hopefully solve Zoe’s problem. The witch told them they will solve it, if they find courage, kindness and love.

The story and the illustrations were great but the way the story is told is very plain and straightforward, which would have made it boring to read if this would have contained more text. It was okay because there wasn’t much text and as I already said, the story itself and the illustrations were great!

Reviewing this as someone who read it to my 5 year old. She says the best part is the unicorns!
The pictures are adorable! The story is very sweet. It teaches kids that some acts that seem small to the person doing them can be huge acts of kindness to others.
Overall, a decent book. It's not a new favorite but I can see us returning to it when in a unicorn mood.

"Abby and the Unicorn" by Cassie Fletcher is a really sweet original fairy tale. I loved this story, and I highly recommend it for anyone who likes fairy tales and/or unicorns! This is really a 5 star kids book!

Abby is an orphaned girl who one day meets a talking unicorn named Zoe. Zoe says her sister is missing and her parents are so sad they have fallen asleep and won't wake up until the sister comes home. They go see the good witch to find it what to do. She gives them a silver necklace with a pendant with three empty circles.
She tells them they have to find courage, kindness, and love in order to find Zoe's sister. They do succeed in their quest, and the ending is superb!

The book has text on one page with a small drawing, with a full-page picture on the facing page. The illustrator, Tamar Blaauw, did a great job creating drawings that look very fairy-tale-esque with lots of pastel colors contrasted with jewel tones.

Thank you to Netgalley and author Cassie Fletcher, who independently published this book, for providing this e-book ARC so that I could give you my honest review.
