Joni has told herself she is Sworn off workplace romances. That is until Luke starts. He persuaded her to dinner, and it took off running from there. Joni starts to notice weird things happen more and more often until one horrible night. Someone is after her. She just doesn't
know who.

I really struggled with this. It was a cute, boy meets girl. Both have baggage and overcome together situations. However. The insta love was just a bit much, and I'm not going to lie... When it came out in the end, my only reaction was, "Who?"

t was interesting, though. Being in florida and them both working in a marine research facility was cool. I just think the whole story was.. loose?

Overall, a cute romance read

'The biggest mistake we can make is thinking that we have time.

"I promise to take good care of your heart, so I hope you do the same for mine."

When Joni Mitchell begins a romance with Luke Buchanan, she is wary.
Working for her grandfather, who is the director of the Tidewater Bay Marine Research Lab, she has shied away from workplace romances; however, it all seems different with Luke. Luke is captivated b y Joni but knows that his past may put a halt on the romance before it begins. Yet despite the obstacles, Joni and Luke give into their attraction, only to find Joni fearing for her life, from someone who does not want her near Luke.
Luke and Joni are two very likeable characters who express their feelings without any misleading actions. I found the storyline fairly straightforward but at times, a bit too stock standard in that I could guess what would happen. Whilst the ending did surprise me, it all seemed a bit rushed and the characters quite unexpected.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book from NetGalley. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
