First thing’s first: thank you Netgalley for the ALC of this book!
Finding You was a small town romance about the small town mechanic, Devin, who rescues out of towner Mackenzie who he finds broken down on the side of the road.
This was forced proximity, small town, sort of instalove goodness. Was I ever surprised at any point? Absolutely not. Did I have a good time? Absolutely I did. I looooove a predictable little small town romance with a well mannered MMC and a FMC who needs to be won over. This was predictable in all the enjoyable ways you expect from this type of book. It wasn’t too long, it wasn’t too crazy, it was just perfect for a summer read. I enjoyed it but will not be thinking about it in the future.

A great book about finding love after heat break after finding your boyfriend cheating on you in your apartment. While this book was great and I loved the narrators, I found that just like all other romance books, this had the same premise as every other book and had nothing new to offer. That being said, I loved the characters and the banter between them and I highly recommend this book to anybody that is looking for a book that had the love at first sight, knight in shining armor feel. A strong 4 stars.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the free copy of Finding you by Samantha Chase in exchange for my honest review.

A cute little love story. Devin reminded me of my dad with his love of cars! Slow getting into which I’m seeing is a trend of Chase’s books but very steamy and a happy ending as usual. A bit boring but I liked the readers on her audio books!

I always adore the small town of Sweet Briar, and this book is no exception. I could totally relate to everyone in town knowing your business and wanting to meet someone new. Mackenzie and Devin’s budding relationship that neither one seems to want to end even at the detriment to her car was so precious! I do love how MacKenzie’s route from New York to Oregon takes her through Virginia…Is there another New York or Oregon that I need to know about??

This was my first read by Samantha Chase, but it won’t be the last. I enjoyed the characters, it was a “light” read, and a nice escape. It is a part of a series, but I didn’t feel like I was missing anything not having read the other books in the series.

The audiobook is narrated by Carly Robbins, who I really enjoyed as a narrator. She has a pleasant voice, a nice cadence, and I could tell the difference between the characters, due to her inflection. I really enjoyed this one!

I received a copy of this book from NetGalley; all opinions are my own.

Finding You is my first Samantha Chase Novel and I loved it. This is Devin & MacKenzie's story and these two meet when her classic car breaks down on the side of the road in the middle of nowhere, during a storm and Devin happens to be passing by, and stops to help.

Being the only mechanic in town, and being the gentleman he is, he can't help but offer his services to fix the car and then ends up offering Mac a place to stay while he fixes her car and then a job to help cover the cost of the repairs.
I liked Mackenzie's strength and independence but I'll admit she did frustrate me a couple times in the story, however both she and Devin were perfect together

Due to the close proximity, sparks was soon flying been these two and I loved how easy it was with them. Their story was a light, heartwarming romance that will make you smile as their relationship blossomed.

I loved the secondary characters and the found family aspect of the story. This small town, strangers to roommates to lovers, insta-love,
workplace romance, was an entertaining read and I would recommend it.

🎧 This novel was narrated by Carly Robins who did a wonderful job with the narration. I found her voice was well suited to the characters and she brought the story to life. It was a pleasure listening to her narrate this novel.

Thanks to the author, Dreamscape Media and NetGalley for the ALC.

I absolutely loved this audiobook.
Devin is the man we all want in our lives, a mechanic who nurtures and takes care of Mackenzie even when she push's back. As cheesy as it would seem to have the story line be that Mackenzie just so happens to breakdown on her way to make this massive life altering breakthrough with her mother across country. When Mackenzie breaks down, the man that find her, happens to be a mechanic and also have a free guest room in his home. You would think this would be too cliche but it it hit's perfectly! It's juicy, small town GOLD
Thank you NetGalley for this ARC in exchange for my honest opinion and review.

This is the third book in the Donovans. This one was so good! I found that the book was very predictable, but it was so cute and well written that the predictability didn't matter much to me. I will only listen to the series because the narrator does such a fantastic job telling the story and creating that feeling that I myself cannot. Looking forward to the next trip to Sweetbriar Ridge.

A special thank you to NetGalley, Samantha Chase, and Dreamscape Media for this ALC in exchange for my honest opinion.

This book was well written but not my scene. It was a fade to black romance and had a single narrator.

I listen to a lot of audiobooks and I am fine with a single person narration, but for me, the narration didn’t work for this book. It would have felt more natural and easy to listen to as a dual narration.

The love story was cute but not just not for me. I think plenty of people will enjoy the author but I don’t think I’ll try another book

Devin finds MacKenzie stranded on the side of the road, her vintage car broken down. He offers to bring her back to his shop to fix her car in the small town of Sweet Briar Ridge. Unfortunately (or fortunately for the sake of the story) there is a huge festival going on in town and there are no rooms available anywhere, so Devin offers MacKenzie his guest room. He also offers her a temp job organizing the front office of his auto repair shop to help off set the cost of the repairs to her car.
This book was narrated by Carly Robins. She does a good job of differentiating between the male and female characters and she provides a good story flow. I personally listened to the narration at 1.5 speed which I found helped with the overall tempo of the story.
The town of Sweet Briar Ridge and the cast of characters were wonderful, however, I would have liked to see a bit more character development. It felt like the characters were jumping into bed before very long and multiple times they would put off resolving issues or having conversations that needed to be had and instead we would get another bedroom scene. This book was more open door than I was expecting. There were a lot of sweet moments in the book, especially the epilogue, and for fans of open door romance, I think this will be a hit. It was just not my cup of tea.

Finding You is a small town romance that takes place in the same town as the Donovan series. Anyone who loves those books this one will be right up your alley. That being said it can be read as a standalone and you would not be lost or looking for more information.

This story follows Devin who owns an auto repair shop in his town when he is driving by and sees a woman broken down on the side of the road. And that's where we meet Mackenzie. She is looking to start over in a different city, with only a few dollars left to her name and her dead father's prized car to get her there. Reluctantly taking Devin's help puts her in his small town that unfortunately has no hotel rooms.

Devin and Mackenzie are sweet couple. You really root for them but the attraction is a little insta-love for me. That being said the actual romance and relationship is a slower burn for a one novel relationship so you get the best of both worlds. With a new relationship forming should she stick to her original plan and keep moving or stay and see where it takes her?

I recommend this to anyone who loves Samantha Chase's other books or someone looking for a sweet small town romance. Thank you NetGalley for the opportunity to read this story.

This is the third book in The Donovan: Sweetbriar Ridge series, and the second that I've read. This book is about Devin, a car mechanic who happens to come across MacKenzie, who is having car issues on her way across the country to find her estranged mother. After finding out that the town festival has taken all available places to stay, Devin helps out a little more than just fixing her car, by offering her a place to stay. Throughout her stay, they realize how well she fits in with the small town, and how well Devin and MacKenzie fit as well. With her departure on the horizon, they both find themselves tampering with her car (after it being fixed) so that she can stay a little longer.

I really enjoyed this book, which was a happy surprise as I wasn't a fan of the second book in the series. I found the characters were more likeable and the conflict more real. Seeing MacKenzie find a true home and feel like she really belongs in Sweetbriar was ..well, sweet.

The narration was well done by Carly Robins (she's one of my faves!). While there is no male narrator, Carly's male voice is excellent!

I freaking adored this book. The sweet slow burn romance. The pull of them. I loved it. THe only thing was that the 'mom' plot line seemed forced and forgotten, then forced again. I think thats the only part that really pulled me out of the story.

I recently listened to an audiobook version of "Finding You" by Samantha Chase. The book is narrated by Carly Robins and is set in Sweetbriar Ridge, where we get to meet some new characters and catch up with some old ones. The story revolves around MacKenzie and Devin, and it's simply adorable. If you enjoy small-town romance, then this book is a must-read. The warm and charming story is sure to put a smile on your face. The audio narration is also well done, bringing the characters to life.

Devin Maxwell is a caring and swoon-worthy mechanic who checks all the boxes. When he comes to the rescue of MacKenzie Holland, whose classic car has broken down on the side of the road in a rainstorm, it sets off a chain of events that neither of them sees coming. It could either change their lives completely or break their hearts.

If you're in the mood for a light, sweet small-town romance read that will leave you feeling content, then this book is definitely worth checking out.

Finding You (The Donovans: Sweetbriar Ridge) was a great read by Samantha Chase. Devin Maxwell is the only mechanic in Sweetbriar Ridge. He decides to take a weekend to himself to figure out what he should do in his life. Mackenzie Holland wanted to live her life the way she wanted. After finding out her ex cheated, she took a last minute cross country trip. Unfortunately her car left her stranded on the side of the road. Devin found her and offered to help fix her car. The town festival is about to begin and there is a shortage of places for MacKenzie to stay and she ends up staying with Devin and working for him. I enjoyed reading this book and cant wait to read more by the author.

I want to thank NetGalley, Publishers Dreamscape Media, and the author Samantha Chase for providing this audio-ARC. Which, I will be giving my honest and sincere review.

Against all the odds, on one of your lowest moments in life, your car breaks in the middle of nowhere pouring rain and you think: "What's next?"

Well next can only go up from here.
Devin is a breath of fresh air, that offers her help. Mackenzie goes with the flow screaming for a fresh start on her life.
I Love this book, there was chemistry from the start between the main characters, and I was there for it.
is such a simple romance no drama but with life drama, realistic emotions towards the events, and funny interactions.
I feel like he is the golden retriever she's the grumpy type at first.
I recommend it to every romance reader at is fast pace. The voice actors were on point.

This was my first Samantha Chase book and it won't be my last! Such great story telling. It had all my favorite tropes: small town town, strangers to roommates to lovers, forced proximity, etc. I don't typically love insta-love, but this was well done!

told in 3rd person pov.

"You didn't just rescue a person with a broken car, you rescued a person with a broken life."

The sweet instant love, he falls first, Finding You by always reliable romance author Samantha Chase is a quick make you smile romance.

When Mackenzie's vintage car, the only thing left to her from her deceased father, breaks down on the way to see the mother that she found on social media after years of abandonment, she just sits there and breaks down herself.

Enter handsome, strong and loyal Devin, best (and only) mechanic shop owner in Sweetbriar. After convincing Mackenzie he's not a serial killer, he gets her car towed to his shop, refuses to let her sleep in her car until he fixes it, gives her his spare room and a job at his shop to help pay for repairs (parts only of course).

She fights the chemistry between them, trying to stay on course to see her Mom, even though her Mom doesn't know she's coming to see her. But Devin's charm, the small town's busybodies and even Mackenzie's broke heart know it's only a matter of time before they succumb to their feelings.

Once again, Carly Robins performs this dual romance POV with sweetness, kindness, sexiness and humor. Though part of the Donovans of Sweetbriar Ridge series neither Devin or Mackenzie are Donovans (we do get a few Donovan cameos). It is very much a standalone story.

You will find this audiobook with low angst, a lovely romantic reprieve from life.

I received a free copy of this audiobook from #dreamscapemedia via #NetGalley for a fair and honest review. All opinions are my own.

Finding You by Samantha Chase is the 2.5 book in The Donavans: Sweet Briar Ridge series but can be listened to as a standalone. This is currently an audio exclusive. Narrated by Carly Robins. Loved her for this story. She did an excellent job with the characterizations and the multiple voices changes. She kept me engaged, and excited to continue listening. Loved all 8 hours of this small town goodness.
Loved diving back into Sweet Briar Ridge with Devin and Mackenzie. Mackenzie was trying to forget her past, and trying to start fresh. Nothing like a broken down car, a hunky mechanic that finds her and the sparks start to fly (in more ways) than one. A small town that welcomes her in. They are both trying to find their way. He has some baggage and her past is possibly hindering her future. Devin is trying to show her that Sweet Briar Ridge is where home should be. Loved this lovable, sassy, sexy and endearing love story. Loved all the secondary characters from the previous stories. Nothing like the meddling town and friends to become a new found family. Great listen. Can’t wait for the next book in the series.

So happy to be back at Sweetbriar Ridge! I give this one a 3.5 rounded up to 4. I found it to be a little too predictable and frustrating..but in the end very sweet. It was fun seeing other characters in the previous book pop back in too.

I really enjoyed listening to Carly Robins narrate. I will certainly read/listen to more Samanatha Chase!

Tropes in Finding You:
-Small town
-Strangers to roommates to lovers
-Instalove
-3rd person POV
