Honestly love all the colours each of the drinks have in them. I had been looking for recipes for non-alcoolic drinks. We try not to drink alcohol during the week but we sometimes find ourselves wanting more than water. This is such a good book for that. Loved the Lion's Mane Mule to replace a Moscow Mule during the week. Looking foward to trying more of theses recipes!

This is a great drink recipe book to have on hand with love adaptogens. Similar to what another reviewer said, some of these adaptogens or ingredients are not ones I normally have in my cupboard so it would be a matter of purchasing some from a trusted source. Aside from that, I really love that these are non-alcoholic, so you can feel included if you have others visiting and they want to do real stuff.

tldr: this book is an essential staple for the health food store girlies!!

This is really well done! It starts off with an in-depth A-Z guide about each adaptogen. Followed by an explanation about which kitchen tools you’ll need with specific suggestions for both splurge and budget price ranges. “Health food” can often seem exclusionary and inaccessible, so having this section is really appreciated!

The recipes themselves are broken up by spring, summer, autumn, and winter.

Some are super accessible, and some take more energy since you’ll need to go to a health food store. However, these ingredients are repeated throughout the book, so you’ll use them a bunch. For the mocktails, it’s essentially instead of buying the alcohol. So it’s not *actually* that many more ingredients.

Pretty much every recipe has a photo or illustration accompanying it. The photography is truly stunning.

At the end of the book, there’s an index by ingredient as well as one grouped by adaptogen, which is an awesome touch!

I, myself, am not sober *but* I get a lot of migraines. So I don’t drink often and have been looking for some great mocktail options. As well as smoothies to add into my rotation.

Thank you to the author, publisher, and NetGalley for my advanced digital copy! When I saw this was listed as “read now” I HAD to snatch it up.

This is one of the prettiest books I’ve read this year. I loved the recipes! They were unique and different to other books I have read lately which I appreciated as I’m always hunting for variety. They were accessible and perfect to add to my list to try!

Thank you to NetGalley and to the publisher for this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

A great book for non-alcoholic drinks. It shows great uses of adaptogens and motivates the reader to try fun drinks while at the same time charge your energy and relieve stress. I really like the chapters named after seasons and the drinks are well placed in these chapters. I also love the description (A-to-Z guide to adaptogens) that can be found at the beginning, so you instantly know what fits you the best for yur current mood! The illustrations, the writing and the photographs are amazing and I really suggest this book to everyone, especially to non-alcoholic drinks enthusiasts. My favourite drink out of these is the Elder Goji Berry Punch and the Lion's mane Vietnamese Coffee.

I received this book from the publisher and from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. The opinions included here are my own.

These mocktail recipes are fun! Very informative book that gives fun recipes on how to incorporate adaptogens into your diet. Some of these adaptogens I can find easily but others I would need to locate a reputable source online. So unless you have a variety of adaptogens in your pantry you may not be creating these mocktails on the spur of the moment. Also, as much as I love turning to nature to find healing, I also find healing in modern medicine. I wouldn't recommend giving up your doctor for adaptogens just yet. Find the balance. Overall a fun book to help you mix up your cocktail (or mocktail) making skills.

This is a full-color book with great recipes for a variety of natural substances that can help you and your health. Unfortunately, I am unable to have only a few with a kidney transplant. I can say the instructions are clear and the author discusses each adaptogens and why they help you. This would be a good book for some one who is health conscious with out contraindications.

This beautifully illustrated and photographed guide shares 75 recipes for nonalcoholic herbal beverages that boost wellness and energy while reducing stress. Organized by season with recipes for breakfast, lunch, afternoon, evening, and parties, it features wellness drinks that include such healthy ingredients as ginseng, turmeric, goji berries, basil, and more. Enjoy!

The idea of this book is really good. I'm all for a good non-alchoholic cocktail. I also loved the idea of some health benefits. However, these recipes are not approachable. I don't know where to get most of the ingredients and extracts other than online and they are quite pricy which makes most of these drinks an impossibility.

Love the idea, but making this more accessable to the average person would be better.

As someone who is trying to limit alcohol, I was very excited to see this book of non-alcoholic cocktails.

The photos are gorgeous and the layout is fantastic.

The list of adaptogens and what functions in the body they benefit is so helpful. Then the index providing the recipes listed by adaptogen for easy reference.

I wish I could have tested some of the recipes, but don’t have access to these unique ingredients.

I think if you are someone who is experimenting with tinctures, herbs, mushrooms, and other adaptogens, this could be a fantastic resource.

Thank you NetGalley for the advanced copy in exchange for an unbiased review.

*This is my honest review of an ARC of Drink Up & Glow by Gaby Mlynarczyk. Thank you to NetGalley, the author, and the publishing house.*

I was drawn to this book because I have always been curious about adaptogens. I just never really knew how to go about incorporating them into my routine. This book was so perfect. It gave great background info on the types and how to use them in non-alcoholic drinks.
Some of my favorite recipes from this book are the Holy Basil-Cucumber Lemonade, Lion's Mane Vietnamese Coffee (insert drool emoji), and the Burdock Bananas Foster Mai Tai, which sounds like 2 VERY different flavor profiles but oddly pair so well.

The photos in this book are beautiful. I personally find the Moringa Unicorn Latte to be the MOST STUNNING picture in the whole book.

I highly recommend this and will be purchasing hard copies to give to all my friends and family.

I was excited to see a book filled with non-alcoholic cocktails made with adaptogens. I've only started to experiment with these drinks in the last few months and they certainly have improved my sleep and lowered my stress levels. The recipes are inventive and fun, many accompanied by mouthwatering photos to whet your appetite. The author provides a comprehensive daily guide to adaptogens, along with descriptions, benefits and recommended dosages. I also love the gadget and tool section, very helpful! However, personally being so new to using adaptogens, I would've loved a couple of recommended brands or places to purchase them (brick and mortar and online). I'll start at my local health food store.

It's a beautiful book! I can't wait to add to my kitchen collection and dive into the world of creative nocktails!

The book is pretty to look at. I live in the middle of nowhere so finding the majority of the ingredients is truly impossible.

I think this would be a great book for people who have access to unique ingredients (probably living in a large city) who want to try out delicious drinks that can also increase their health.

Living in a small town, most of these drinks are unattainable, but I was drawn to the beautiful cover and great-looking drinks! Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the ARC.

I loved the idea of this book and was super excited to read it but when I started flipping through the recipes they seemed a little too out of reach for me personally. I was hoping they would be a little more accessible but almost every recipe has something I’ve never heard of before. This book is great though if you’re really looking to branch out and explore for drink alternatives. I loved that it was organized by the seasons and the pictures were very appealing! It had many drinks that I would love to try if someone made them for me but they were too complex for me to want to make them myself.

I have to say, the recipes in this book are definitely interesting and unusual, if nothing else. I was surprised by quite a few ingredients that I didn't even know existed, and I'm normally an adventurous cook always keen to try something new. My concern is that the book might end up being entirely too arcane for someone who simply wants to broad their range of concoctions they prepare in order to entertain guests. However I think the recipes in the book ultimately reward those who go all in, uncover all those new additions to their pantry/fridge and decide to broaden their usual repertoire. Now if only there was a bar or a cafe close to me that would make me all those wonderful drinks without a hassle of doing it all myself!

This is a gorgeously done recipe book that explains the benefits of each key drink ingredient and lays out the steps in an manner that seems easy enough to replicate. I appreciate that each recipe yields one drink.

It is so difficult to reduce ingredients when they are written for batch production, but it feels easy enough to multiply a single serving recipe for more, if needed.

Above all, artwork is beautiful and adds to the energy of the book.
