Absolute 5 star cowboy deliciousness. I need more - get me a copy of Wild and Wrangled immediately!

Gus and Teddy are the perfect storm. Everything about this book fell into place with such delightful chaos. I fell in love with the way their relationship transformed, but also somewhat stayed the same in the funniest, sexiest way?

I love a tie-in series, so I was naturally over the moon with the appearances of Emmy & Brooks, Ada & Wes, and of course Amos and Hank! Not to mention the cutie that is Riley. I feel like the level of depth and care put into every single character shines through in the whole Rebel Blue Series, but especially within Lost and Lassoed.

The vibes are immaculate. I am packing my bags for Meadowlark as I type.

My heart is full, my cowboy boots are on, somebody please point me in the direction of the nearest bar with a bucking bronco.

🤠 Lost & Lassoed - Lyla Sage 🤠

I would have done absolutely anything to get my hands on this book and the minute I saw the ARC go live the NetGalley gods provided!
This is the third book in the Rebel Blue Ranch series and by far the best yet (the other two are absolutely amazing so this was a hard feat).
Gus’ story was one I’ve been waiting for with bated breath. He’s a grumpy older cowboy and a single dad who’s falling for his little sister’s best friend and long time nemesis Teddy. The build up for these two has been ongoing since book one so I would seriously recommend starting from there to get the full effect. The couple are amazing, the storyline and tropes are 👌🏼 and the book covers being stunning is a real bonus. As usual I laughed out loud at multiple parts of the story and was nearly crying at others. These cowboy books are something else and if you aren’t part of the hype you need to be 🔥

KICKING. SCREAMING. MELTING.

The one I have been waiting for since reading Done and Dusted, and it did not disappoint! My absolute favourite of the three, even though the others are really good too.

Teddy and Gus are just polar opposites and their hateful banter made me laugh so many times, but when they start to connect it's obvious how perfect for each other they are. The fact that they bond over loving Riley is the sweetest, as she's the best kid.

One thing Lyla Sage knows how to write well and hit you in the feels with is found family, and I absolutely love all the characters and how they find homes not only within this tiny town but each other.

There's a conversation Teddy has with her best friend Emmy that literally brought tears to my eyes, if that's not a sign of great writing I don't know what is. Honourable mention to the scene where they put the flowers on the curtains!

The Rebel Blue Ranch books are swoony, sweet, spicy and everything i'm looking for when wanting a cowboy romance. But i wouldn't narrow it down to just that - a romance. It's much more. It's full of hope and character development which is brilliant.

I'm really looking forward to Cam and Dusty's story.

I'm a huge fan of the Rebel Blue Ranch series. Books 1 and 2, I absolutely demolished. However book 3, Lost and Lassoed, exceeded all of my expectations and became my favourite of the series. Teddy and Gus are the dreamiest couple, but are also so interesting separately, meaning I wasn't always desperate to get them back together in a scene, as they kept my interest peaked. Sensational pacing and overall one of my favourite reads of the year so far. SO GOOD!

I liked Done and Dusted. I really liked Swift and Saddled. And I adored Lost and Lassoed.
From the very first book I've been eagerly anticipating Teddy and Gus' story and it did not disappoint.
Seeing both of them work through what they were going through, in terms of feeling overwhelmed and lost, added another layer to this book. As did Teddy's relationship with her Dad.
Teddy might just be my favourite character in the whole series and I liked seeing her look after Riley, who was just so adorable.
I enjoyed this take on enemies to lovers, as well as a bit of forced proximity. And even though I've never read a single dad romance, I was already so invested in the lives of this extended family and Rebel Blue that it completely worked for me.
My only issue, I felt like I flew through this so quickly that I would have loved it to be longer. And that's not something that I usually say about books. In a way, them actually getting together felt a tiny bit rushed and I could have read so much about them finally falling for one another.
I am already counting down the days until I can read Cam and Dusty's story.

I was so excited to start reading Gus and Teddy's story. I loved Teddy from book one; her spunky personality and the banter between her and Gus was a perfect blend of funny and cheeky. I think the development of their story was a bit fast-paced (I was expecting more in the 'enemies' part) but then I figured it was done this way to avoid two grownups acting like children. That being said, a little more of those funny one-liners would have been welcome.

Overall, there were cute moments between the couple, and I would definitely recommend this read.

I was expecting Gus and Tess's story from the first book and it didn't disappoint. The book drew me in quickly, but halfway through it started to progress perhaps too quickly at a normal pace for the Enemies to lovers trophy. I can't wait to see what the next books will bring!

Fantastic, amazing, incredible, what are more words?

I absolutely loved this one. I'm honestly obsessed with the whole series but at this point who isn’t? I love Teddy so much, she reminds me a bit of Willa (from Heartless by Elsie Silver) combined with Emmy (from Done and Dusted, aka her best friend). I need Cam and Dusty’s book righ the fuck now, Cam deserves everything. I’m actually dont think there is a character I dont love in this series. We really see more of Gus in this one, obviously, and he is so good. Weirdly he reminds me a lot of Ada but less anxious more stubborn.

There was so much that happened in this book, and Im not going to break it all down but I will say that it almost made me cry at one point and there were a lot of ups and downs. I do wish we got more Wes but I’m always going to want more Wes.

Full and Broken Hearts

‘Lost and Lassoed’ is the third book in the Rebel Blue Ranch series – a steamy, small-town, enemies-to-lovers romance from Lyla Sage.

I read and adored ‘Done and Dusted’ and ‘Swift and Saddled,’ so I was delighted to dive into ‘Lost and Lassoed.’ Sometimes, your expectations are too high, and you’re disappointed. This is fortunately not one of those times.

Gus and Teddy’s story has so much heart. After being archenemies for years, they suddenly get to know each other in a different context when Teddy is hired to work as a part-time nanny for Gus’s daughter. Both characters find themselves at a time in their lives when they are struggling with very relatable real-life issues. Gus is unable to prioritize and feels overwhelmed by responsibilities, whereas Teddy feels left behind and unsure about her future.

As Hurricane Theodora and grumpy Gus’s bickering and bantering slowly fades, they begin to see each other in a different light, and their relationship opens up to the possibility of something new.

I love the honest, tender, and respectful found-family vibe of the Rebel Blue Ranch community. While ‘Lost and Lassoed’ is first and foremost a great romance novel, it also reads as a beautiful love letter to dads with big, fierce, supportive, and soft loving hearts.

If you’re in your cowboy romance era, love Sage’s first two novels, and adore Elsie Silver’s Chestnut Springs series (particularly ‘Heartless’), I am positive you’ll enjoy ‘Lost and Lassoed’ too.

Lyla Sage’s writing has improved tenfold since book 1 of the Rebel Blue series. Watching Teddy and Gus’ relationship grow and change was a pleasure and by far my favourite pairing so far. I’m very excited to see what Lyla does next!

I really like this series, and both previous books only served to build up the anticipation for Lost and Lassoed. And, I'll be honest, my expectations were through the roof for this one. I wanted a Teddy x Gus book, with full enemies-to-lovers vibes even before I was done reading Book 1. And, wow did we get that and so much more! Those expectations were nothing compared to the real thing! This is the third book in the Rebel Blue Ranch Series, and Theodora Andersen and August Ryder hate each other as much as they always have. That is while also knowing that they have the same favourite people, and have to share a family/ friend group.

Gus is the eldest son of the Ryder family, and he's supposed to follow in his father's footsteps and take over Rebel Blue Ranch. He also has Riley, his amazing six-year-old daughter who he co-parents with Cam, his one-night-stand turned baby momma, but he couldn't be more grateful for her or his daughter. Now, Cam has gotten a summer internship in a major law firm in the city, and Gus has to navigate life as a single dad for the first time ever... and between his job, his other family members and commitments and having Riley full-time, he's struggling to keep up with everything without feeling like he's slowly sinking and drowning. Teddy has also been having a hard time for... well, for a while, but it's not like she'd admit it to anyone. The only person she'd ever admitted it to was her best friend, Emmy, but she was busy with her own life, her work, her fiancé and her wonderful happy moments that, apparently, no longer included her. All at once, Teddy gets fired from what she thought was the perfect job, and slowly finds herself more and more convinced that she got stuck and is now somehow behind in life, especially when she compares herself to the people around her. She's in a bit of a downward spiral mentally when her best friend sucks her into probably the oddest arrangement ever: she's to be Riley's sitter for the summer to *shudder* help Gus out.

I really just fell head over heels in love with these two. Their antics and verbal staring were hilarious, and the tension and banter only made the slow build of their relationship that much sweeter. One of my favourite things - both in real life and in books- is when people learn things, investigate or otherwise acquire knowledge that leads them to change their minds and admit they've been wrong. It's not an easy thing to do, and it takes maturity and understanding... And I love it. This book is the perfect example of how people can vehemently believe to hold the whole truth, only to realise that their point of view was not only askew but borderline negligent!

Along with the enemies-to-lovers plot, there's also a lot more angst and heavy topics in this book, which presents a bit of a shift from the previous books in the series. Teddy's father is a big part of her life, and therefore a big part of this book. I absolutely adored him and how we can see his relationship with his daughter, at the same time we're seeing it juxtaposed with Gus and Riley's relationship. The garage scene almost made me tear up. It felt like a love letter to good fathers. As much as this is a romance book -and of course, the main focus of the book is there- I truly do believe this book was only made better by exploring Teddy and Gus's struggles with control, their friendships, feeling needed, and their anxiety and worry over their fathers. It brought forth a level of depth I don't think I felt in any of the previous books.

The more I read from this series, the more I crave. I cannot recommend this book enough, and I cannot wait to see where Lyla Sage takes us next - aka Cam x Dusty's story!

🌶🌶.5 - The spicy scenes in this book are open-door. There are a few of them, but they're not all that intense.

This was my most highly anticipated couple within the series and Lyla did not disappoint even for a second! I was completely smitten by Gus and Teddy's chemistry. I could barely put the book down, I was having so much fun with their banter, being reunited with friendly faces and watching all the relationships evolve in to something bigger. Teddy and Gus' story was so beautifully written, their relationship blossomed at just the right speed and provided some gorgeous moments of realisation. Although these two were my highly anticipated, I can confidently say I am anticipating book 4 even more!!

It wasn't exactly what I anticipated with all the hints found in the previous books, still I liked Gus and Teddy's story very much. It was unexpectedly a slow-burn, a very sweet, swoon-worthy and romantic one. And I absolutely loved that this story deals a lot with relationships between fathers and their children. Teddy and Gus were great together, Riley was a typical perfect, convenient bookchild, and it was fun to meet characters from previous books again. The only issue with the story is that several times it felt as if a little chunk of it is missing, a dialogue or an explanation. BTW, that cliffhanger about Camille in the end of the book - OMG, colour me intrigued!

Ah, Gus & Teddy, the book I was looking forward the most. The tension and the banter SERVED in Lost and Lassoed (which was to be expected from all their previous encounters). I love the single dad trope as much as anyone does & Gus honestly, could get it. Coming back to Rebel Blue Ranch, feels like coming home.

You may be wondering, why not 5 stars? While I loved this book, I did have issues with the pacing of the story. The first half of the book was very 'we cant stand eachother', while the progression of their relationship in the second half felt quite rushed. The reveal of their shared past was also quite.. anticlimatic. All in all, I still absolutely adore Lyla Sage's work & I would definitely recommend!

I liked this book, but I didn’t love it. I really wanted to love this story but after the first two books in the lost and lassoed series became some of my favourite books, I had really high expectations that sadly this book didn’t quite meet.

Having said that I did still really like this book, Gus and Teddy had such a cute romance which was well written and felt realistic. Their move from enemies, to friends to more than friends was so sweet.

I still highly recommend this book and will definitely be reading the rest of series.

Summary: Teddy and Gus, despite their differences, find themselves drawn to each other as they navigate unexpected challenges and burgeoning feelings.

Having read the first two books in the Rebel Blue Ranch series, I was very excited to read Teddy and Gus's story. This book did not disappoint. I loved every minute of it. The enemies to lovers trope was written very well, it happened organically and didn't seem forced. It was great to hear a bit of the backstory of Teddy and Gus and the flashback in the book explained a lot. I already cannot wait for the fourth book in the series.

What a perfect romance novel! Two people who shouldn't like each other, who have always argued, but who always seem to end up in close proximity. Together the sparks fly, and it turns out they have more in common than fighting. Their quiet moments bring a tear to your eye, and with a cast of characters you can't help but love, it's a fantastic time to fall into this cowboy romance!

I flew through this book and after waiting two books for Teddy & Gus' story, Lyla Sage did not disappoint. Everything you wanted was there.

Lost and Lassoed has all the best tropes with no third act breakup, just good plot & character development.

If you loved Heartless by Elsie Silver, you will adore this book! I've been looking for a book that hit the same as that did and this ticks all the boxes.

I will be sat patiently waiting for Wild & Wrangled after the epilogue.
