A beautiful story about patience with wonderful artwork. A good tool for children's story hour or as an SEL addition to a classroom lesson.

This was such an interesting read, with beautiful illustrations. In Time is about a little girl, who wishes for time to go faster - something all children have done before. It captured the emotion so well, through the storytelling and how as time progessed, it's also important to remember to take time to appreciate the much smaller things and the beauty of it all.

A little girl is impatient with time, she wants to rush it all along, speed it all up. But then she slows down and sees the wonders around her at the things that took time to grow and develop.

A beautiful story on patience, on time, on growth. It was a very lovely story I also liked the perspective difference, her mum always being late and rushing but the girl never feeling that, she was always counting the seconds wanting things to move on again. I loved seeing how they felt different and then when she finally looked around her in a moment of stillness she found so much more than she expected. With the beauty of the nature around her, trees, animal’s, caves all things that had to take many years to grow before they were as big as they were before her.

A really beautifully illustrated book, with a great story for young children about being patient that things take time, but there is so much surrounding them to enjoy and only time can create them, I really enjoyed reading this sweet story.

Marina Ruiz's amazement of nature is evident in this beautifully narrated book, 'In Time'. The soft watercolors across each page evoke a sense of nostalgia. It reminded me of memories as a child, when I thought the days were so incredibly long! The perception of time was much different then vs now, and this story validates this concept! It goes to remind us that there are so many miracles happening right beneath our noses if we are intentional about taking a moment to reflect.

An impatient child finds that sometimes it is nice to have things go more slowly. A book well worth owning!

Well written and nicely illustrated. A great additiong to any childs library.

I’m always looking for books to add to my little girl’s library, and In Time’s sweet artwork instantly caught my eye. Maybe it’s because she’s turning one tomorrow, but this book genuinely brought tears to my eyes! What a beautiful story of taking in all the moments that we just want to rush by to get to the next big thing! The artwork in this is absolutely stunning, and the message is clear and important. While my daughter isn’t old enough to truly appreciate this book yet, I will most assuredly be adding it to her permanent collection in the future.

Such a nice story to read to kids. I teach kindergarteners and I'll buy this book for the class for sure. The illustrations are incredible and the story reminded me of when I was a kid myself and my relation with time. This story can open a lot of nice discussions with kids.

A sweet picture book perfect for librarians, teachers and parents alike to use for a meditative and mindful storytime. I loved the beautiful illustrations and age appropriate prose that’s easy to comprehend for even the smallest readers. The book does a great job at validating children's emotions regarding impatience and our fast paced world while also expressing the importance and value of patience and being present in the moment. I would absolutely recommend it!

I absolutely love this book. First of all, I love that the mom and daughter have red hair because it looks just like my little family :) Secondly, the concept of time is so hard for kids to understand, especially when adults experience it differently than them. Because of that, this isn't just for our children, it's also for the parents and caregivers who read it to them. I found myself relaxing, breathing slower and deeper, and hugging my child tighter. How many times have I said "just a moment, hang on, hurry up" to my child? How often do I put myself in their shoes and see time from their perspective? This book is such a sweet reminder to both of us that slowing down is a good thing because then we can really see the things we miss when we wish time away. The message in this book is so good and easy for me to explain to my child. The ending is just so sweet and made me tear up! I'm definitely purchasing a physical copy when it releases! Must have!

Beautifully written and absolutely beautifully illustrated, this is a great book to teach elementary age children about time as it relates to them. This book lead a great discussion with my kids that some things truly are worth waiting for, and other times it means more to slow down and enjoy the moment.

A mother wishes she could slow down time whilst her daughter wishes she could speed it up. Over the course of the book, a little girl wills her life away wishing time would pass quicker so that all the 'good' things in life would come around again. She wishes for the fun moments until she stoips to consider other wonders that take place slowly, other living things that also must be patient.

With it autumnal immustrations, white space, and simplicity, this book delivers a message about patience and appreciating the simpler things in life. A delightful book to mull over in digital times. I welcome the opportunity to put the electronics aside and be at one with nature, as will other cregivers, I'm sure.

This was a very fun children's book with darling illustrations. I think adults and children will enjoy this one. It was easy to follow, yet fun. If I had a kid, I would buy them this book.

This is such a lovely, colorful, magical and adorable picture book that pulls you in!

The story begins stressful in the morning, everything is awake and time is limited. But for one young girl, time moves slowly, painfully slowly.
Why can't we speed up time, it would be so nice - the girl imagine.

But what do we miss if we speed up time? Patience is sometimes key to appreciate time, the world around us and life.
It was an wonderful reading, fits for young and old. It was very pedological in it's format . I love this kind of fictional children's book.

This was such a great little story and I feel adults could greatly benefit from reading this as well as children. A beautiful reminder to slow down a bit and enjoy life as it unfolds around you. Also, the illustrations were gorgeous.

'In Time' by Marina Ruiz is a beautifully written book about stopping and appreciating nature's beauty and what only time can create. "Time seems to be passing so slowly," the little girl says. My mom always says, "A little while." or "Just a moment." I just want time to speed up like a roller coaster. It would be nice to whizz through the days. In a blink of an eye, a tree could grow taller than a mountain from seeds. As I wait, I see things I've never seen before. The petals of a beautiful flower open one by one. As it moves forward, a tiny snail leaves a trail. The wind stirs the leaves and branches in the forest. I hear them whisper..."We had to wait to grow mighty and strong. Just like you, we were once little before. But time thickened our trunks and lengthened our roots. Now, when storms come, we can dance with the wind."

'In Time' is a fantastic book. The book teaches children to be patient, to look at what nature can offer, and to appreciate each day for what it can provide. Check out this book.

I thought this was a really well-written book. I don't know of too many books that discuss the concept of time like this. As children, we always want time to go faster for whatever reason, maybe because we want school to be over for the weekend or summer break, can't wait for our birthday or a holiday, or just to be older and more independent. We don't realize then how much we will want time to slow when we get older and how we may end up wishing time went a bit slower back then so we could have enjoyed it more. I love that this book brings all that up in an easy-to-understand way for children. This book helps children think and try to appreciate where we are right now and enjoy the moments we are in right now.

The illustrations are absolutely beautiful. They narrate the story perfectly and allow children to become engaged in them. I love the colours that are used and I think they pull the whole story together.

As she explores the forest, she hears from many different species that show how long time can take for them to grow. Younger readers may not grasp the concept but will appreciate the pictures and the basics of this story. Older ones will connect more fully to the concept and relate to how sensing time feels.
