Valuable paintings worth millions of dollars are stolen and never found. 25 years later cousins, Lucy and Niels, help find the paintings and deliver them to their rightful place. A Fair(l)y Unexpected Adventure is exactly that. This story it’s full of fun adventure, family ties and magical fairies that all work together making this story good clean fun. I enjoyed all the characters equally and the family bonds they share together. Although, it is labeled for middle grades, this story can be relatable to younger children as well. I would recommend this as a fun read along and create a lesson plan that would include other ways to trap the thieves. It reminds me a bit of Home Alone with shape shifting fairies.

A Fair(l)y Unexpected Adventure is a great middle grade adventure story. It has family, adventure, action, mystery and even fairies! Lucy comes across two fairies that need her help! Long lost priceless paintings that offer a reward if found! Can the two be related? I really enjoyed this book! I received a digital copy of this book from NetGalley in trade for my honest opinion. My eldest granddaughter decided to set up a mini girls only book club with her cousins and a friend. In the end she had to let the boys in as they just sat at the doorway listening to this delightful tale. Suitable and enjoyable for all then !

I found it very hard to rate children's books so everything is a 5 star read for me!!
I really loved this book, the illustrations are so beautiful and captivating that I found myself smiling through every page I read.
The story itself is very beautiful and inspiring <3
