I had such a nice review written and then my computer crashed. Now I have to retype it. I really enjoyed this book and Ben’s journey with football and the concussions that resulted from the games. I’m a Colts fan and watched the Colts win the Super Bowl the year he played. It was fun hearing his experiences with the team, especially with Peyton Manning and Coach Dungy. Football was a big part of this life and his identity so it was devastating when Ben had to give that up. The book was very heavy on football, but it was important to establish the backdrop of his story. Ben was very real and honest about his feelings about the concussions, the memory loss, and the fears that he would no longer recognize his family.

Towards the end of the book, he mentioned the song he wrote for his family and the accompanying video, “You Will Always Be My Girls”. I watched the video shortly after I finished reading the book. Such an awesome video and I about cried after watching it.
