Perhaps I would have felt more invested in the characters (and thus their story) if I had read the previous books the series, but alas I had not. The writing is decent, the spice is good, but there was a disconnection with Cory and Vickey that left me feeling detached from their HEA.

I received a copy of this arc from NetGalley for an honest review. I did not love this book mostly because I thought that the main character, Cory, had very few endearing traits and I wanted to skip all of his parts. I skimmed most of this starting at about 40%

No Romance Required is book 3 in the Love Required series.

We have one hot alpha male, Cory that is used to getting his way...always. But, lately work has been his focus...that is until one night in a gazebo with Victoria. Yea, that one fateful night where they were caught on camera messing around! Between that and his parents on his back, he needs a girlfriend. So, he chooses Victoria to play that role. But, will they become a "real" couple because of this?

This was an okay book for me. Yes, it was hot. No, I didn't hate it. But, the "pretend couple" scenario has just been written about too much lately. Not this author's fault, but I just didn't feel the connection with the characters that I would like to have felt.

Thanks to Entangled Publishing LLC via NetGalley for a copy of this book.

So much banter between the main characters had me laughing out loud and that always puts a smile on my face.
But when the author turns up the heat, she really turns up the heat.

"I have priorities, and you with your hand between your legs sound like an emergency to me", YEAH, that is a line I will not forget.

I loved Victoria's character. She is driven and strong and the banter between her and her friend Cory, who she's known since they were kids had me laughing out loud. But Cory's parents give him an ultimatium and Victoria is just the person to help him out of his delemma.

The question is with the underlying chemistry can these two move past the friendship to become more? Are they willing to? Read on to find out.

This author hit it out of the park with this book. I look forward to so much more from her.
