Anna May Cooper owned my heart.

Until she did the one thing she promised she wouldn’t.

She ran.

I cannot live without her.

But my ghosts aren’t gone either.

And they have the power to destroy everything.

Now I need to fight for her.

It should be Anna and me forever.

But now I am not sure about the fate of us.

I loved this so much, after the ending of the first book I was so happy this book picked up straight away from where the first ended, a nice smooth start. I thought this was a great sequel, solving all the unanswered questions, resolving issues and bringing the great chemistry back again. Absolutely love Noah and the families again, just a great story and glad I got the ending I wanted so much after the first book

4.5/5*

The Fate of Us is the second book in the Broken Lyrics Duet and tells the story of Anna and Noah.

The Fate of Us was such a good ending for the Broken Lyrics Duet! I was really excited when I saw my ARC copy on my Kindle app because I’ve been dying to read the second book, The Fate of Us. I was kinda angry about the ending of the first book, The Ghost of You, so I was so happy that I didn’t have to wait longer than a month for the second book. Tori Fox did a great job with writing this book and I’m happy with the ending Anna and Noah got.

I wasn’t always the biggest fan of Anna running away in The Fate of Us, but I kind of understood why she made that decision. As for Noah, I loved that he kept fighting for their relationship. Anna and Noah have both been through some stuff and I’m happy that they got to figure everything out together. I hated Claire and Becca so much in this book, they’re both disgusting human beings…

The Fate of Us was such a good sequel and I’m so happy that I picked up the Broken Lyrics Duet series. This series isn’t just an easy romance story, there’s heartbreak, grief, sadness and anger. It makes the series so much more realistic. I also really liked the music element in this book, I haven’t read that many songwriter characters. The Ghost of You and The Fate of Us are both amazing books and I recommend reading the Broken Lyrics Duet!

The Fate of Us by Tori Fox (Book 2 Broken Lyrics Duet) picks up right after the cliffhanger in Book 1.

Anna has run again but Noah is right on her heels chasing her down. These two really comes to terms with their deep feelings and what the possibility of a future holds for them as a couple.

In a sense Book 1 was about Anna coming to terms with her lost and Book 2 is about Noah finding his closure with his ex. In the second half of the duet Anna and Noah are finally seeing the cracks their past relationships held. No longer are their previous significant others held up on a pedestal. They finally see what everyone else around them saw as the truth.

Noah pushes Anna to chase her dream and she supports him as he goes for his. The ever present fear of being hurt and hurting each other is there. The protector is out in full force in this book, Noah refuses to let anyone mistreat his girl. Book 1 may have been a slow burn but Book 2 is a full on blaze. They are so on fire for each other this time around.

There is the return of the worst human known to man…don't worry you will know who I am talking about when they enter.

The brothers and friends are back in this book. They provide and outlet and sounding board to Noah and Anna’s fear and anxiety. They help our main characters see reason.

The Fate of Us was the perfect conclusion to Anna and Noah’s relationship. Overall, I truly enjoyed reading this duet. Tori Fox did a wonderful job showing that the past shouldn’t be viewed with rosed colored glasses on. It has a tendencies of clouding reality and it only when we experience something real in our life are we able to see the truth for what it is.

ARC gratefully received in exchange for an honest review.

The Fate of Us by Tori Fox a five-star read that feels like fate. This is part two of the Broken Lyrics duet and it follows the story on so well, we fall in love with the characters in the first part of the duet and that love just becomes deeper in this part. Watching Anna May Cooper as she follows her dreams, but as with life you aren’t always able to follow all of your dreams. But following one will have to be enough for now, when your ghosts come back to haunt you it can be difficult to outrun the ghosts and chase your dreams, the problem is will Anna and Noah be fast enough to do both? I can’t tell you as you need to read the story, and what a story they have to tell. I love how Anna and Noah aren’t the only ones who have a story to tell in this one though, and I can only hope we get to hear more from the other characters as they all seem to have something to say in the best way possible. If you haven’t picked this duet up then you are missing out, as you need this author in your life, Tori Fox some how slipped under my radar, but now they are so far on it I need to go searching the back catalogue to devour more of their words.

We are jumping right back into Anna and Noah’s wild love story. With the cliffhanger from The Ghost of Us, both Noah and Anna have a lot of past to work through and since Anna’s ghosts have resurfaced and caused her to run, what will happen when Noah’s ghost come to haunt him in full force?
Anna has so many insecurities from her past and while she is getting through it, it’s painful to read. It seems like she is just stuck on repeat.
Noah is so level headed and confident about what he wants, he’s a saint for putting up with some of Anna’s childish reactions. However sometimes people in life have overreactions to come to terms with their stuff so I’m able to only be slightly annoyed while reading it. Plus there’s more than enough steamy moments between these two.
Overall a good read, and only a couple emotions slipped out

The conclusion to the Broken Lyrics Duet. We pick up about 24 hours after the ending of Ghost of You. Thanks again to meddling brothers (Kyles this time), Anna has answers and Noah is with her. While Anna’s ghosts are gone, the insecurities are still present. She is working hard to make her life with Noah; only to have his ghost show up with baggage. We have laughs, heat, drama, some suspense, so much heat.

Where I could not put down book one, I was not as hooked in this time around. The story is good, just not as good as the first one.

Thank you to NetGalley and Victory Editing for the advanced copy for me to review.
