All Sins Fulfilled

“All Sins Fulfilled,” The third book in Goldberg’s Desire Card series, takes on the organization from an entirely different angle than the first two books in the series. Rather than follow an operative, this novel follows the experiences of a client, one whose wishes are fulfilled. Once again, we get someone down on his luck at the end of his rope. It’s Harrison, a Wall Street trader who thinks he’s one of the masters of the universe before his legs are cut out from under him and it all falls away- the job, the marriage, the morals.

All he has left is a card with a phone number which leads him to do things beyond morally bankrupt. Of course, as anyone who has ever had a genie in a bottle knows, wishes never come out the way you expect them to and someone somewhere has to pay the price. You know early in what Harrison’s ultimate request will be and you’ll guess who has to be sacrificed for it to come true. Nevertheless, you will feel his shock and horror at where this leads.

Ultimately perhaps this is a story of Redemption, but you begin to wonder if the clients are suckers too, caught in the Boss’s twisted web just as much as the masked operatives are.

This is the second of the series that I have read and I like it better than the other. I am not sure of. the order, but I have now read the 2nd and 3rd.

The story starts with an out of shape man carrying a suitcase being chased through Central Park. Then he gets caught. The book continues with the events that lead to that moment. We learn that the man works on Wall Street, is a serious alcoholic, and basically not a like-able guy. He hits a new low when he starts spewing blood and passes out when spending the night with a prostitute. She brings him to a hospital where he learns that his lover is shot and he will die without a replacement.

I liked this. I was pretty unhappy with the ending, but then it took a turn at the very last minute and redeemed itself. The middle was a little slow, but the beginning and end carried it well.

This is a 3 series book. I am so glad it was. This set can be stand-alone but, REALLY you will WISH you got the set, The first is book will make you wonder, and yes be careful what you wish you. hanks to @netgalley

This was a great book. I loved every paragraph, every sentence and every word of this masterpiece! I read it in 12 hours, which is a lot for me to do! It had everything and more laid out in the novel! I sure hope she writes more! I am totally hooked!

Loved this book- a novel idea and hard to put down! It was well written and very exciting with lots of twists! The main character begins by just wanting a little excitement in his like and he gets it in spades! He finds a card that says all his desires will be fulfilled- I’ll leave it at that.

I went in not knowing what to expect, and I am so glad I read this book! It is an "edge of your seat" thriller, that poses the question, "what price would you pay to get what you want?" I loved the premise of the book, and can't wait to read more from this author.

I think maybe if I had read the first 2 books to this before this one, I might of better understood what was going on, but honestly I just couldn’t get into this book and I had to force myself to finish it.
