Sooooo good!! I love audiobooks where the narrator makes the book even better and this was a good one.

What's better than the first book in a Christtina Bauer book? An audio book version read by Ms Bauer herself. No matter how many of her books I have read, I still find her stories new and interesting, the characters are so real.....even for angels and demons. Their stories unfold with purpose and always leaving me looking forward to the next one.

And the audiobook? Absolutely fantastic!

Absolutely loved this book. Stunning. I loved the author. I loved the story. I loved the narrator. Obsessed with the book. I want to sink into this world and read all of them. Incredible!

This was such a fun read! I’ve heard about this one for years but why have I never touched it? Now I need to read the next ones!

Honestly, I wasn’t sure how I’d feel when I did the audiobook because it’s narrates by the author. And most of the ones I’ve listened to by the author are dry and boring, but this one was anything but. She brought so much sass to the characters and I loved it!!!

I absolutely adore Christina Bauer's books - but an audio version?! Say less. The book is beautifully told and I loved the narration, I cannot wait for more of her books to reach audio!

Awesome book. Would definitely read this author again. Loved the characters, the storyline was really good. I will definitely be looking for more books by this author.

As a woman in my mid 30s I didn't expect to like this book nearly as much as I did. With that said, my teenage self would have liked it even more. Yes the characters are juvenile, they are meant to be! The world building was incredible.

Myla, an 18 year old quasi demon (half human, half demon) who lives in Purgatory has been fighting in the arena to keep evil out of heaven since she was 12. Her home had been overthrown by demons before she was born and had been ruled by ghouls ever since. Quasis now lived in slavery where they were forced to serve the ghouls. Myla's service was in the arena, and although it worried her mother, she was good at it, and she loved doing it.

As she begins getting more and more curious about her mother's secretive past and the father she never knew. On her quest to find answers she meets new people, finds new truths about both the past and the present, and ultimately uncovers her true identity. Just in time for the demons to attack Purgatory again.

Thank you NetGalley for this eARC audiobook. I have read this book physically whenever I was younger. And I remember loving the series. When I saw this arc for the audiobook, I had to jump on the opportunity to see how it comes to life through audiobook. And Christina Bauer's narrating drew me in and allowed me to fall in love with the series all over again. I can't wait to dive back into the world of Angelbound.

I really loved the narrator. Her voice has so much sass and it matches to tone of the book perfectly. I also appreciate that she had different inflections for each character. The mother was the best. “Baby don’t die”.

This was a fun ya fantasy book, with a badass heroine and a very imaginative world.
It’s a great book, but for a better experience I would recommend you listen.

And Christina Bauer makes an excellent narrator. It's not everyday that you get an author to narrate her own titles.
Would definitely purchase the rest of the series to find out how this story is going to end.

I absolutely adore this book.

I loved reading the world Bauer created and I loved listening to it being narrated by her even more. I think more authors should do this if they get the chance because no one knows how to bring their characters to life more than the person who created them.

I love the fun, unique take on demons, purgatory, heaven etc. that Bauer has created in this world. It's light and fun hearted but fleshed out and so well thought through.

The characters are also so loveable and well-written. I adore Myla as the main character and the grudging relationship between her and Lincoln is one of my favourites.

This is definitely a title I'll keep coming back to reread time and time again.

It's a fun easy listening young adult fantasy fiction. It's the first time listening to an audiobook read by the author. I was pleasantly surprised that it was well done. Also, it's nice knowing that it's read in the way the author had intended it to be interpreted.

Audio book by Christina Bauer, I found the pace of the story great, the narration was fantastic and really had me smiling.

Myla Lewis is a girl who takes no crap and gives out the perfect punishment.
I absolutely adored her character and Walker! There are so many things to love about this book and this world that Bauer has created that I can’t help but want them all in physical books!
Bauer narrates this book herself and she does a brilliant job of voicing so many characters.
I could actually go on and on about this book but I don’t do spoilers so I’ll leave you all with this.
Angelbound surprised me, had a little zing of spice 😉, made me laugh out loud, smile a whole bunch and I even got a little teary.
I was not entirely sure going into this, but can honestly I really really enjoyed it!

I couldn't stop listening to this one. Can't believe this is the 10 year anniversary edition. Very happy to have found it now. It was very great and so was the narration. Will definitely get for our library.
