this was a great concept for a fantasy novel, it had a great way of telling the story and I enjoyed what I read. It was a great start to the Kingdom of Subterranea series and did what I was looking for. The characters were interesting and worked in this universe. I can't wait to read more from Cynthia Foran.
"Oh, no, Sara. Do please stay. You’ll not want to miss out on this historic and essential moment.” The Queen’s biting contempt is not lost on the straight-faced Commander. “Of late, it has been brought to my attention and that of my colleagues, that you are considering a traitorous act, one that betrays us all. We do not take such things lightly, Ceiba.”
