Description

Emma, Lily, and Fadila want to save the planet . . . but no one around them seems to care.

Frustrated, they name themselves the Green Girls, take to social media, and launch a series of bold protests. Alongside their classmate and aspiring Green Girl Silas, the crew risks getting in trouble (and stirs some up) to raise awareness about container ship pollution, palm oil overproduction, and more environmental hazards. With a mix of livestreams, spray paint, and bungee cords, they're out to make a difference—and get their followers to do the same.

Giving this to your child might or might not be a huge mistake, but in the best possible way. My children have been rereading this comic since I wrapped up and now have started looking a bit closer at the social causes they had previously been passionate about. It shows how to look into causes and make presentations that bring others to your cause. Aaaannnnnddd...... Now I'm listening to my 3rd presentation on how we could create a community garden down the street and decrease our reliance on the big box stores as well as teaching the local schools about how their food is created. And my teen is back on the climate change, save the polar bears, and save the whales warpath, ready to fight the patriarchy and play fisticuffs with anyone who tries to stop them. 😂

I love this little comic and hope to see more from this author in the future. I'm looking forward to my little planet protectors making big waves like their new favorite crew.

The story is about three girls and one boy who are frustrated with adults not listening to them or taking them seriously when it comes to saving our planet. They come up with big ways to get the word out and to as many people as they can about how we are destroying our planet. I love this graphic novel. The information in this book about the ways we are hurting the planet and the living things on it, is great and I didn't even know about some of them.
Win, graphic novel kids love. Win, talks about how we are hurting our planet and the living things on it. Win, talks about ways to help our planet. I am hoping there will be back matter so kids can find more information on how to help the planet and the living things on it. Thank you for allowing me to read your book.

Three girls want to save the world, but no one seems to care.
This book is so important! Everyone, regardless of their age should read the book. It covers an important topic that we need to be talking about more. Climate change is happening whether we think it is or not! These three girls are incredible. They bring to mind images of Greta Thunberg and the hard work she is doing.
I will absolutely be adding this book to the middle school library to help start the discussion of what younger generations can do for climate change.
