Private fans will be thrilled, Jack Morgan is back and in a big way! Private, the renowned international investigation firm founded by Jack is hired to solve a murder that has far reaching roots and consequences.
Jack is invited by longtime friend Karl Parker to share in the IPO of his company at the New York Stock Exchange. Karl is gunned down at the Stock Exchange before he has a chance to share some news with Jack. In investigating his friends assassination Jack quickly realizes he did not know Karl like he thought he did.
Short action-packed chapters filled with the return of familiar characters will make James Patterson fans happy. Lots of twists and turns in this page turning story!
I thoroughly enjoyed the quick pace of this mystery dealing with espionage and modern world tension and problems. I highly recommend Private Moscow and think you will too.

Jack Morgan is back and better than ever in James Patterson’s latest thriller, Private Moscow. Fans of the series will be thrilled to see the renowned international investigation firm back in action, tackling a murder case that has far-reaching consequences.
The story starts with Jack being invited by his long-time friend Karl Parker to share in the IPO of his company at the New York Stock Exchange. However, things take a turn for the worse when Karl is gunned down before he has a chance to share some crucial information with Jack. As Jack investigates his friend’s assassination, he quickly realizes that he didn’t know Karl as well as he thought.
The book is full of action-packed, short chapters that keep the reader engaged and on their toes. Patterson’s signature twists and turns make this a page-turner that is hard to put down. Fans will be happy to see the return of familiar characters and the addition of new ones that add to the excitement.
Private Moscow is a quick-paced mystery that deals with espionage, modern world tension, and problems that are relevant to our times. Patterson masterfully weaves these elements into the plot, creating a story that is both thrilling and thought-provoking. This is a well-written, fast-paced novel for lovers of action fiction. It begins with Jack Morgan, superstar detective, witnessing the assassination of a good friend and, determined to bring the killer to justice, he becomes involved in a complicated case involving espionage and other killings.
I enjoyed this story a lot. I've always been a fan of espionage thrillers and this one was very interesting to read. Though, the plot is not very unique when it comes to Russia and America having their people deeply embedded in each other's organizations. But the assassin, the chase, and the investigation in Russia was very captivating. Jack Morgan's character is so well written, cool as a cucumber but tough as nails. Loved it !
The dash from the embassy in Russia and the subsequent flight action was very thrilling and a little unbelievable how everything worked out in Jack's favor. But, I don't mind, it was a good escape. The final layer of this espionage scandal was terrifying, in the sense that everything is so unpredictable when it comes to world politics. The countries need to keep dodging traps laid by their competitors. Such a high stakes game, this !

Once again the Private series knocks it out of the park! I love this series and love getting back into the lives of the people in the book! I hope that Jack & Justine can actually make it work again! This was a great mix of Private Russia & Private NYC and I hope for more mashups of different regions of Private in the future!!
