A delightful little read. The prose and illustrations make this book fun for adults and kids. I loved all the different animals that were included. The general tone and illustrations made this a happy and fun book. This would be a great way to get kids involved with their local zoo or to learn more about why everyone (animals AND people) benefit from eating pumpkins.

Pumpkin Day at the Zoo is a bright and fun book! The colorful illustrations emphasize all of the animals celebrating pumpkin day. I loved that the book educated on donating your leftover pumpkins. I can’t wait to add this to my kids library and have a family activity of recycling our pumpkins!

Thank you, Netgalley and Thomas Nelson: CHILDREN'S , for the advance reading copy. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

My son absolutely loved Pumpkin Day at the Zoo. The illustrations in this book are beautiful, colorful, and fun. My little guy especially loved the otters and beavers. He thought they were so funny. This book is full of all the animals you can see at the zoo. This book is also educational with a section about donating your leftover pumpkins in October to your local zoo. I look forward to finding a physical copy of this book in July!

I absolutely loved this book. It's such a fun and adorable story. The illustrations are spot on. You can tell how much fun the animals are loving and enjoying the pumpkins that were brought in for them.

The note at the end about checking with your local zoo to see if they will accept your pumpkins is great.

Definitely recommend!

The pictures were great and so were the variety of animals in the story.
After reading it my kids asked to read it again and wanted to go learn more about the books in the book. Well done!

It's a special day at the zoo and the animals as so excited. It's fall and the local farmers are bringing their left over pumpkins to the zoo to share with the animals. We see all the different zoo animals enjoying their pumpkins. There are good descriptive words used to describe how the different animals enjoy their pumpkins. Lovely illustrations. Young children will really enjoy reading about the animals and their fun day at the zoo.

I was able to read this story on Net Galley before it was published. The illustrations are absolutely wonderful and make this book even more fun to read. Getting to see the animals be silly or crazy with the pumpkins bring the words to life. My 2.5 year old daughter loved the colors and pointing out how the animals were eating the pumpkin. This is such a fun preschool age book to read with kids who love animals and going to the zoo. The kids and adults can enjoy picking out the animals they recognize while also learning the names of new ones. It is written rhyme prose which is great for little ones to help expand their vocabulary. I also enjoyed the last page of the book where they added that a lot of actual zoo's will take pumpkins.
