Maury Patterson, scion of the family and a state Senator from his adopted home in Illinois, has returned, with his eye on continuing his highly successful political career in Texas. He is not content to rejoin the somewhat backward community of his birth, nor accept the strictures of living in a historic home, the first built on the prairie east of Dallas.
