Did you know that there are Bigfoot schools around the world that teach important skills for forest management and bear wrestling? Really? Mikey, a Bigfoot himself, is different from his peers. He is struggling to find his unique place in the world and how he fits in.
He attends an accounting class and that opens up a whole new world to him where he does belong. This is a book of discovery, following your dreams, and acceptance. I did find it quite wordy but the illustration are beautifully done and really highlight the text's inspiring message. I happily recommend this book.
"Mikey the Lonely Bigfoot" is a heartwarming story about Mikey, a Bigfoot who likes numbers and accounting! I thoroughly enjoyed reading this story, and think it has a great message about being different and learning how to stand up for yourself and your community.
This has to be the sweetest book I have read this year. I think everyone needs to read this book even adults. I think we can all learn something from this book. There is a place in the world for everyone. I teared up at the end of the book with all the bigfeet coming together to help.
Thank you Netgalley for letting me read and review this. I will be telling everyone I know to read this.
