Description
For over two centuries, the Ocan people have protected the secret of a subterranean source of power that lies in a place called ‘the in-between’. This energy has genetically enhanced the Ocan people and it can also help rid the Earth of a deadly virus that has ravaged much of humankind. However, only the Emissary can directly access the energy and the Ocan people have not yet found their Emissary.
Blending elements of speculative fiction (i.e., fantasy and science fiction), the Injira series delves into the mysterious world of the Ocan island, where an isolated group of people have created a utopian community. In The Emissary’s Catalyst (the second book in this series), Taijaur and Shona are reunited as they continue their quest to find an ancient source of power. With Taijaur standing guard, Shona must venture through an opening between worlds from which she may possibly never return.
