Love Every Day by Alexandra Solomon, PhD, is an insightful and practical guide that offers 365 relational self-awareness practices designed to nurture, heal, grow, and revitalize relationships. Dr. Solomon, a licensed clinical psychologist and renowned relationship expert, presents a treasure trove of wisdom, exercises, and reflections that can help couples strengthen their emotional bond and navigate the complexities of love.

What sets this book apart is its emphasis on self-awareness as the foundation for healthy relationships. Dr. Solomon deftly explores how understanding our own thoughts, emotions, and triggers is crucial to fostering authentic connections with our partners. Each daily practice is thoughtfully crafted, empowering readers to delve into introspection, communicate more effectively, and cultivate empathy.

The structure of the book, with a practice for every day of the year, provides a structured framework that encourages consistency and gradual growth. From exploring childhood influences on current relationship patterns to fostering forgiveness and practicing vulnerability, the exercises span a wide range of topics. Dr. Solomon's compassionate and engaging writing style creates a safe space for readers to reflect and take positive action.

One of the strengths of Love Every Day lies in its relatability. This book quickly began to surpass my expectations. Primarily content wise. So much value packed in these pages. This is a fantastic book for those seeking or are in a relationship of any kind (but primarily romantic). There were 2 things I did not like about it. I spotted 2 typos in the book as well.

I have to say this book exceeded my expectations, almost every entry seemed relevant and useful to my own relationship. The author’s snippets from her own life come across as genuine and honest. It’s the sort of book you could keep going back to, flicking through to a random page and getting a piece of invaluable advice. I guess, the only thing I would change is instead of the content being arranged as days of the year, the entries could just be numbered. I think it’s unlikely someone would only look at 1 entry per day but this design aspect doesn’t deter from this being a really informative, thought-provoking and accessible book.

Love Every Day ended up being the book that I didn’t know I needed. Reading it was one “aha” moment after another. This book was filled with not just great advice but also great examples making it easy to understand and relatable. At first this books seems like it might be geared to people already in an established relationship but I found it even more applicable as a person in a ew relationship. Highly recommend.

As a 365 campanion, I'm still working my way through this piece - going day by day according to the work and digesting the information. I love books like this that give you a bit of perspective each day. As I journal almost daily, the prompts and self-awareness questions are valuable.

Interestingly laid out to do each day, like a journal. Gives you something to do and think about each day of the year. These tasks make you go deep to figure things out and some are just explanations or something fun, not as deep. I think for someone who might believe there are issues in their relationship would benefit from this. Rey nicely written and easy to follow.

LOVE EVERY DAY is highly dense resource filled with valuable insight and tools that is written in a very digestible way, broken down into 365 bite-sized daily practices. I love the book's emphasis on the relationship with our self and the questions that allow us to look deeper inside our selves. This book feels like a warm embrace while gently guiding us to take the necessary action steps to receive and experience more love and more fulfilling, healthier relationships.

Yes, the book is about love and relationships, but it's also so much more. It's about life and how we choose to move through it. This book is a wealth of information, and throughout reading I would continuously come across gold nuggets that resonated deeply. No matter one's situation or upbringing, anyone and everyone would and will benefit from reading LOVE EVERY DAY.

Thank you to PESI Publishing and NetGalley for the digital advanced readers copy in exchange for my honest review. I can't wait to get my hands on my own physical copy!

There is a lot of really great information in this book. I loved how it’s set out over the year and I totally get why the author has done it this way; reading this book in one go would be overwhelming so breaking it down into bite size chunks is manageable and really gives you that time to consider each tip.
