Description

Six summers to fall in love. One summer to change everything.

Liv and Finn meet six summers ago working in a bar on the rugged Cornish coastline, their futures full of promise. When a night of passion ends in devastating tragedy they are bound together inextricably. But Finn’s life is in LA with his band, and Liv’s is in Cornwall with her family – so they make a promise. Finn will return every year, and if they are single they will spend the summer together.

This summer Liv crosses paths with Tom – a mysterious new arrival in her hometown. As the wildflowers and heather come into bloom, they find themselves falling for one another. For the first time Liv can imagine a world where her heart isn’t broken every autumn. Now Liv must make an impossible choice. And when she discovers the shocking reason that Tom has left home, she’ll need to trust her heart even more . . .

Paige Toon did it again! I highly enjoyed Seven Summers and plan to read it again next summer as it is THE perfect beach read! A beautiful love story that will pull at your heartstrings. Paige Toon makes Cornwall come alive with her beautiful writing, and as we follow Liv through seven summers, watching as love shapes her story, it's a magical read that you will not want to put down. Thank you to NetGalley and Penguin Random House for the ARC!

WOW. Okay, so this was a FREAKING BEAUTIFUL story from beginning to end. I loved following Liv's journey, Michael's antics, and the descriptions of peace she manages to find in the end. If this isn't the most accurate tale of love, life, heartbreak, and what life truly is then I don't know what is. Read this, you will not regret it!!

WOW - I LOVED THIS BOOK. For anyone who loves Emily Henry, One Day, or Normal People, please, please, please read this book. It’s a romance, but touches on heavier themes and the characters deal with very real traumas and issues.

These characters are broken and complex but so lovable. I loved their relationship and how you saw little changes between them each summer. This book goes back and forth between present day and the previous 6 summers, so you know something happens and you’re just waiting for the shoe to drop and figure out the “how” of It all.

Liv is artistic and vulnerable and holds the weight of the world on her shoulders after a tragic accident throws her life plan out the window. Finn is adorable and guarded and restless. Their romance is slow burn and the tension is amazing!! You’re really rooting for them even though you can see all the reasons It might not work out.

It’s easy to write Tom off at first, but you truly grow to love him and his relationship with Liv, so that the reader becomes as torn as Liv is.

I had so much fun reading this, It was truly a roller coaster of emotions. You have the anticipation of knowing probably every single person will get hurt in some way, but I couldn’t put It down regardless!

I cannot wait for this book to be published! 5/5 definitely.

I received an ARC of this book via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
